Whatever city he lands in, I hope the local utility company is presently assisting the State with a nice shiny CCTV camera in a cozy location. Cities just can't have enough of 'em, ya know?

Inna name it Hawkeye.

Watchful eye, eagle vision.

My assumption is that he, or his “friends”/family spent at least 300k of non refundable money to keep him out until trial. I don’t think he will violate-not because he follows the rules, I believe that he will have excuses and the state will not watch him like a hawk. I also imagine he thinks he will sue when he is found not guilty for some kind of unlawful prosecution or some other ridiculous thing, and get the bail money, and more, back.

Hope he's not underwriting his own loans with promises of a cut of his 15 million.

Promissory notes written on air unicorn antlers. Good a place as any for things that aren't real.

I agree, he's most likely to roll the dice and lose.

But one of his lawyers has a reputation for negotiating with prosecutors. If Morphew can articulate a case for Murder in the Second Degree, he can make himself eligible for a drastic reduction in sentence. But I suspect he'll have to admit he killed Suzanne, and also disclose in verifiable fact exactly what he did with Suzanne's remains and why, among other things he'll be reluctant to share.
Would not admissions, as are confessions, have to be corroborated?

He claims he is indigent and that he can't pay for an attorney, but he has "access" to $300,000 for "nonrefundable" bail. Who ever gets to ask him THAT question? Who holds him accountable? I don't understand!
Here’s the thing, imo I doubt the money $300k or more, if he still had that much to his name after paying his first high profile Attorney IE, was in any account in his name. He likely made sure of it just in case he was arrested again after Suzanne’s body was found which after said 2nd arrest, he wouldn’t have been able to declare and be considered indigent by the court if he had that much money in any account bearing his name.

If his so called “friends and supporters” didn’t pool their own money to bond him out, I believe what he likely did if he had that much money was after his first case was dismissed in April 2022 prior to his 2nd arrest in June 2025, was either moved that money (which imo was mostly Suzanne’s money😡) around giving or gifting it to other people imo family members’ namely his Mom or one or both of his daughters, or could have hidden/buried the cash somewhere (lol) and told a family member where it was when needed to bond him out. In either of those scenarios, it’s dishonest and shifty accounting practices to say the least and couldn’t be more clear to me he knew it was inevitable he’d be arrested again and planned on it by moving money around getting it out of his name or burying it so he could be declared indigent by the court. Whether this same money was used to pay or help pay the bondsman’s fee is anyone’s guess, I’d guess yes it was if his “friends and supporters” didn’t use their own money to bond him out.

I agree with others and has been one of my lingering questions as well-
has anyone, namely a forensic accountant, ever done an audit of BM’s financials????
If not yet, I sure do hope the new investigating team/Prosecutors have it on their list to hire a forensic accountant or already has because imo some real shifty, shady money and accounting (if you can even call it that) has likely gone on if for no other reason, so that BM could be declared indigent by the court. He’s been gaming the system for years and mostly getting away with it, hopefully for not much longer. 🤞

LOL. I figured I’d see the news posted here first but signed up to be notified via VINE just in case and to see if it really worked as first time I signed up to be notified.
It works (although I think a bit delayed). Just received the following notification:

MSG: BARRY MORPHEW was released from custody on 09/19/25. The release reason is: Bonded out.
For more info call 719-589-6608 or visit www.vinelink.com

His attorney, David Beller, said that supporters of Morphew pulled together the bond fee, about 10 percent of the $3 million bond set by the court. Beller declined to identify the supporters.

“They have asked to remain anonymous,” said Beller. “And that frankly is for their own safety, with all the vitriol that the case has brought and all the doxing.”

[...]
Once Morphew is released from jail, will begin paying for his own defense, said Beller. To this point, Morphew’s attorneys have been paid by the state, because a defendant is deemed indigent if they are in custody, Beller said.

“In Mr. Morphew’s case, between what little bit of assets he has as well as some supporters, he is going to be paying for his defense moving forward for as long as he and they are able to do so,” said Beller.

“As part of the stipulations of a pre-trial release, Hopkins told Morphew that he is to be monitored at all times with an ankle monitor and isn’t allowed to leave Colorado.”

^So, that’s it? He can roam freely around Colorado, stay wherever he wants, as long as GPS is on?

I thought one of his bond conditions was that he wasn't allowed to leave home unless for medical or court related reasons.

Iiuc, he's free to stay anywhere in the state, but he must remain in that one location, barring emergency or unless for medical appointments, meetings with his attorneys, or making court appearances.

He'll prolly be "meeting with his attorneys" a lot.

That could get costly!

Paying for his defense himself? Oooo, the crack of that billfold must smack him hard.

How many minutes until he's unable to afford his counsel, and like magic, he gets his own attorneys back, free of charge, on the people's dime?

Suzanne's voice seems lost again, amid this noise.

So if he chooses to live in a van, is that his home / location?

I know Megnut, and it will take time, as defense now has no reason to move for a speedy trial. Expecting delay after delay.

Keeping the faith.
Suzanne’s voice WILL be heard again.

“once he is fitted with a GPS monitor and finds a place in Colorado to live. He’ll be confined to his home, but can attend legal and medical appointments. And, if he can find employment, Morphew would be allowed to leave the home for work, after getting permission from the court.”

So yes confined to his home except med and legal but if he gets permission from court can leave for work.

As far as whose money paid the bail I have my thoughts. As far as threats … I don’t really believe that is happening on a grand scale. I think it’s lawyer hype for sympathy. JMO.

It'll be speedy if he meets with his attorneys. I'm thinking more of, him "meeting with his attorneys". That what he'll say, if anybody asking.

Forgot about that provision -- for work.

Ugh. If he's still got a friend, I eject help hire Barry for really slow work. Rolling a rock up hill and then back down, all day every day. Busy work to keep busy been busy. Busy staying outside of house arrest.

IMO he'll find a way to not be inside.

He’s also forbidden alcohol and guns iirc from court. Honestly even if they find him sitting in a bar drinking shots of tekill-ya with a loaded rifle leaned up against the stool - the court would prob just say please don’t do that again.

So question re bail - nobody had to pledge stuff worth 3 mill ? The ten percent was it non refundable? Thanks

Iiuc $300K unrefundable, then 2.7M up in collateral, if the bondsman requires it.

There is one way to earn money faster than the guy never to you. Get paid on cash, under the table. Never report it, no taxes.

If Barry barried a lot of untaxed dollars in a couple of cute piggy banks, how cutesy cute if he's laundering his own dirty money in house.

Ever notice how some people always seem to be gaming the system?

I just hope somebody is following the money.
