Not that I have seen in terms of it being this contentious. I have seen the Judge put the Defense in it's place for their endless objections. Judge often frustrated with the Defense. I have not been able to watch every day tho.
I’ve watched every day and twice on Sunday. lol There hadn’t been any fireworks like this until today. JMO

And, IMO there was nothing concretely decided prior to the quick gavel -ed recess. Judge is upset, and I feel both attorneys will continue with their previous behaviors. This isn't over...

Was it Moran? who stated earlier he had a PHD in Genetics. I was listening and not watching at the time. THUD

If I were a jury member, I'd like to know if this witness ever worked in the field with LE dog handlers, or if he has attended any training courses specifically related to the type of work the dogs/handlers are tasked to do.

Poor Judge . After this he has to spend his weekend working on the DNA expert Dr. Danielson issue, too.

Has anyone zoomed in on the defendant’s face lately? I watch on WebEx and can’t zoom.

It's a shame that it appears the defense isn't following discovery rules and a prior court order. I believe that all defendants deserve a vigorous defense in order for them to get a fair trial but they have to abide by the rules.

I'm interested in this witness's testimony but we may not get to hear it. The HRD dog evidence was a part of the states case that I feel is very weak so hearing more testimony about it would be great.

If the judge rules that this witness cannot testify will that be part of a possible appeal in the future?

Audio is poor but I think the witness sad it's possible that a coyote would carry remains as far as the skull was moved in this case.
I thought the bear lady testified that there were no coyotes in that area?
Maybe I didn't hear that right.

There's coyotes in that area. That's why we keep hearing about them.

Definitely coyotes in that area. The argument seems to be how far a coyote would move the skull ( or if one would even move it ), imo

What we don't know is how the coyotes feel

I have a feeling this wont go well. Again.

Recess over. Trying to qualify Dr Ha as expert. Prosecutor Johnson calls for voir dire to go over his credentials.

Grey jay expert?

Does prosecutor get a tad snarky at times?

  • #559
Laughing out loud through the prosecutor's reading of CV. This is a first!

This witness seems to have much more knowledge of animal behavior than Carren Cochrane the HRD dog handler in this case. JMO
