I don't think you can. IMO. It's convulted and complicated.

Even if you read the entire thread, page by page, you still won't feel like you are caught up. LOL

Could the phone have been dead from use, and so he used dad's phone to text friends maybe

I think that these plans were always for 6:30 am and I am not sure where the information about plans changing are even coming from.

I can't wait for the video to be up (can someone please, please post/give a link???).

Lotus,

What is Sgt. Bender like? I can't wait to see him (I have a picture of him in my head from listening downstairs....) :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

thanks for watching for us!!!

Dan Bender is one of THE best men I ever met in my life. I had a case, as a CPS worker in NM, that I had the honor to meet him with one of my cases. He's the best guy I could name, other than my own DAD. JMO and I know you guys don't know me from Adam... but he's the BEST to me/mine and a very grown up young girl that Dan found/saved. I will always remember Dan Bender. JMO and all that jazz

so the plans were not changed.

More confusion. The friends said the plans were changed. So maybe Dylan was telling Dad one thing, and friends another.

Maybe when he was back home he tells them he is flying in Sunday night, so of course, they all agree he is coming right over. But reality hits when dad picks him up, and he realizes he cannot get a ride to his friends immediately. ?

Audio only on the Sarge...

I don't know what you're picturing, but I'm not picturing a Kevin Torres! :floorlaugh:

NG to her credit is being very, very objective and empassioned for Dylan... I think his entire family would be pleased with the coverage, jmo. I do hope she stays on it.

Okay.. show over. That's all folks.

:cowboy::cowboy:

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Thanks to everyone that watched NG and kept us up-to-date!!!

I have many MANY more questions after watching NG that were NOT cleared up...

She should allow users to submit questions & run/edit/produce the show for a night. Or week. Seriously. Sgt Bender was right there. Questions. Answers. So close. At least give us a "no comment".

ahhhhhhhhh

Probably the same way they determined that Sierra Lamar didnt run away. At first they held that possibilty but ruled it out.

I imagine they did it by looking at his history of never running away before and talking with family and friends.

imo

I agree with the above...

Additionally... The house to house questioning may have indicated he had not run away within a logical proximity distance. (Logical proximity distance??? Am I starting to make up sleuth terms here???)

I just read this article and I see two things that pop out to me. I think this is in fact a huge indicator to what happened to Dylan.

http://www.denverpost.com/recommended/ci_22083134

1. The event marked the first public appearance by Dylan's father, Mark Redwine, who was the last to see his son. Like many who spoke, he referred to Dylan in both the present tense and the past tense.
"That boy was my whole world," he told the crowd. "I would do anything to

find him. You don't know how much I love that boy."

2. Mark Redwine was also late to this service for Dylan.

IF all that is factual, time changed from meeting Sunday evening to meeting 6:30 a.m. Monday, COULD have been made/changed at his home computer in C Springs before Dylan even left his new home. Just a thought. LE needs all those records from C Springs computer, cellphone(s), etc.

If Dylan was unhappy about going to Dad's for the holiday week and was only looking forward to it if he could spend a good portion of the time with his buddies, he may have been pretty snarky and difficult to his Dad.

I have a picture in my mind of a snarky 13 year old with an idea of how he wants to spend the week and a father with his own plans of what they will do that week, and that the plans were very different.

How can I get caught up on this case quickly without having to read through the pages and pages of thread? Lol

Here is a link to the media thread. read a couple of the latest articles and you should be good to go.

Also we did get confirmation from a police spokesperson on NG that there has been no activity on his cell phone since he texted his mom that he had arrived at the airport and Dad had picked him up. Dad has been refusing to communicate with Mom, not answering calls or texts, and speaking very little publicly.
When cops needed a scent article from Dylan for the search dogs, Dad had nothing to provide even though Dylan had spent the night at Dad's home. Not a sock, toothbrush, bedsheet or towel...nothing. Mom had to bring items with her for the dogs!

(((Ransom)))

So glad to hear positive things about him. To say he's right up there with your DAD is saying a lot and thank you for your personal input - it is truly valued by me and I'm sure everyone else!!

I would be looking forever but the children he planned on meeting did state it in an interview that he was going to come that evening, but Dylan changed it to 630

In putting this timeline together can I use the info that posters have transcribed from NG?

Yep. Dylan's mother said Dylan was an avid texter. So, why no activity after 8 pm?

An avid texter, would he have texted, played with and all that while on his flight(maybe even listened to music) because if so that could of caused the phone to go dead, there for it turned off, and was in need of charging.

lots of stuff in this article.. here are a few snips

Specifically, investigators would like to talk to anyone who was taking photos or shooting videos that show vehicles along the typical routes between Vallecito and Durango from 6 p.m. Nov. 18 to noon Nov. 19. That would include county road 501 and 240.

Three canine units belonging to La Plata Search and Rescue returned Wednesday to the community to explore areas adjacent to the reservoir but not along the shore, Bender said.

The media has tried to turn the attention to him, but the story needs to stay on Dylan, Mark Redwine said, when he declined to be formally interviewed.

He said a million things were running through his head about what could have happened to his son. He said he doesn't think Dylan ran away.

He has nothing and no one to run away from, Mark Redwine said.

He said he will continue to stay in his house, saying he thought that was what would be best for Dylan. MArk Redwine's brother is also staying with him.

Mark Redwine said Dylan had made tentative plans to meet friends at 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, but “nothing was etched in stone.”

He said he had questioned why the 13-year-old would want to wake up that early in the morning.

Ryan Nava, 13, a friend of Dylan's said in a phone interview Saturday that Dylan was originally going to Bayfield to visit his friends Sunday night but then changed that to meet them early Monday morning.

Mark Redwine said he was going to give Dylan a ride to his friends' house and tried to wake him up when he left Monday morning, but said he was “out like a light.”

Mark Redwine said he had to go to Durango that morning to run errands and to speak to his divorce lawyer.
