I said that was my FIRST thought (in response to her post about what she first thought when she read that). I know what has been said since then.

Gotcha. :)

So, according to LE above the father stated THAT HE SAW HIS SON on Monday prior to leaving the home to run errands..

And then we have LE statement of WHAT HE WAS WEARING WHEN HE WAS LAST SEEN..

So, was he in bed still sleeping when dad left or not?..above quote is cut/dry of LE stating dad told them he did see his son that morning..and LE states what Dylan was wearing WHEN HE WAS LAST SEEN by dad..???

There has been a lot of confusion and discussion about that. Apparently according to later clarification, Dad figured out what he thought his son was wearing.

I don't know the exact ages, except for RN whose age was reported at 13. But I think it's a safe bet they are of similar age to Dylan.

Well there you go. I have no idea about the ages since Dylan grew up in that La Plata CO. valley with an older brother. So......

I think they're making it confusing. My understanding is that he was last seen in bed at 7:30 am, and the clothes mentioned were the last things he was seen wearing.

I agree that my interpretation of what's been said thus far is that dad saw him bed..but my reason for emphasizing that dad SAW him that morning is that there has been discussion that dad did not see him that morning, but rather dad got up and was making noise around the home and Dylan didn't awake from dad's stirring around the home ..thus dad took that to mean Dylan wanted to sleep later and not run early morning errands..

So, I was just wanted to see if we had a statement from LE telling us that they were told by dad that he actually saw Dylan before leaving the home around 730am..

Thus the exact reason I posted a link with a quote stating LE said dad left home around 730am..

It has been said it was not his, as far as I know.

OH MY GOSH! I missed that!! Wow. So why the comments from dad initially about a fishing pole? Color me CONFUSED. :what:

I havent been able to follow this case as closely over the last several days but have caught up (for the most part) thanks to everyone informative posts. Couple of comments...
I may have missed it but i may be possible that DR was awake when Dad last saw him but didn't want to ride with him and gave the ol' I'm still pretty tired excuse. Clothes are similar to what a teenage boy would lounge around/sleep in and the shoes could have been the only ones he brought with him. When Dad returned shoes and hat were gone.

What I do find extremely odd, as others have mentioned is his cell phone. Even if he turned it off to charge it (many kids listen to music, could have wore out battery on plane, etc...) if he was supposed to meet friends wouldn 't he have texted or called as soon as he turned it back on. If the original meet time was 6:30am, I would think he would text/call let someone know he was on his way. Where would Dad have been heading to that early if he was supposed to be DR's ride? JMO and a few of the things that don't sit well with me. Not to mention the Mom's statement....

Perhaps it is not in the house so he assumes Dylan took it?

You sound like me with my 4 kids, momrids6! Let me tell ya, when your kids are born you might as well go ahead and stab yourself in the heart and save them the trouble! Ugh. They crush you inside and out and you just can't stop loving them....what's up with that?! LOL
You nailed it ... I have 4 too. One minute I wonder if I am depressed, another; a complete failure- another; a martyr- stayed home and gave up certain aspects of my life to better theirs- why? huh?....or am I being selfish for wanting not to be taken for granted quite so often... and why can I not sleep because they worry me silly...

ETA: I'm borrowing what you wrote and quoting you on FB....!

I've wondered about this exact same thing...not sleuthing minors, just saying that some of the shots of the vigil show boys laughing and obviously the boys may not understand the solemness of a vigil but also the fact that the kids were so quick in their interview to say

BBM
IDK... I just don't get it. I hope mom really knows what kind of kids these are and that they are telling the whole truth. JMO :sigh:

Good point. Let's think of if this way - what if Dylan did meet his friends?? Oh, nevermind, that's out there. But it has happened.

"Mark Redwine told investigators he last saw Dylan at 7:30 a.m. when he left his son at home and ran errands."

According to Dad, the fishing pole is still missing. But the one they found at the lake was not Dylan's. [Not that this will make you any less confused. ]

If not exact times, Denise Hess (family friend) did give some clarification narrowing down times on NG tonight which perplexes me a bit.

She reiterated that Dylan's flight got into Durango around 6, 6:30. We had that general idea already, had collected that information via airport / flight records, and today LE asked for any video footage from 6pm Sunday evening on. So the 6pm /6:30 time is important.

Denise Hess also mentioned, when asked what their plans included for the week together, that Dylan and his dad went grocery shopping after Dad picked Dylan up from the airport. It doesn't matter where this took place between Durango and Vallecito, but I got every impression that it took place on the way home. My mapquest search has the trip from the airport to dad's home at about 1hr /40miles.

Sgt Bender 'confirmed' (if we can say that) the 8pm'ish time estimate was the last time Dylan's phone had activity.

I'm going to take these activities and plot them conservatively - Let's say Dylan landed at 6:15 and was in dad's car quickly within minutes. Let's say the drive home took 45 minutes. Food shopping let's say took 20 minutes. That puts us at 7:20pm. I think that's rushing things, personally, if we knew the flight landed a little later, if we knew how long the trip from airport to dad's house really took and if we could estimate how long food shopping might take.

Anyways, my point is the last phone activity was at 8. The closer to 8pm all of this puts us, the harder time I have reconciling what happened to Dylan's phone, if not Dylan. And since LE doesn't seem to have an explanation about his phone, or one they're not making public, it really has me wondering what might've happened to Dylan around 8 if he wasn't at dad's house by 8. all jmo.

Does that make any sense? My brain is scrambled eggs right now.

Wishing LE could ellaborate on why they were able to determine tht he didnt run away!!!

They already elaborated. He hasn't contacted anyone, and hasn't used any of his on-line accounts or his cell phone. For a teenager who is active on line that is pretty much impossible to do voluntarily.
