I get hesitant on posting--but here are a few things and my take on some of this case--first a reason for the time of video requested might be maybe when dad got up Monday morning--said he saw DR--maybe at that time DR already left--maybe he stacked up something (pillows) to look like him under the covers--dad didnt hear a reply so left and DR already gone???
No cell--maybe as all been saying no reception--also if his batter died over night, etc no way to get on it to see what friends, etc numbers are--i know i dont memorize phone numbers anymore

I also starting to wonder if LE thinks it was a semi--planned kidnapping per se--just until the visit was done and DR was to leave--then when they realized DR didnt return that is when the panic set in--that would explain a little why everything (backpack, cell, charger, etc) was missing--maybe DR was told to be ready by such and such a time--cell would then have to remain turned off so no one could find them--just another thought

also imo a visit with a divorce lawyer at that time could have been sheer coincidence--could have been scheduled for weeks who knows---but i do know that when custody is separate like that all visits are court ordered pretty much---only time they arent (at least where i live) was joint/aka here shared custody where all is 50/50 then the actually visitation records isnt written so a court ordered visit i think is moot really probably was set up that way at the last hearing--dad gets thanksgiving, mom--christmas, etc--just seems to be theway it works---plus if they had shared custody from 2007 (divorce) until this past year the court certainly did not think of dad as too violent or a threat that is 5 years it was that way

justmy basic thoughts

back to lurking also

BBM

I wondered that too....maybe someone picked him up during the night....

R N, 13, a friend of Dylan’s said in a phone interview Saturday that Dylan was originally going to Bayfield to visit his friends Sunday night but then changed that to meet them at 6:30 a.m. Monday.

R said he and his friends expected Dylan’s father to drive him into town from Vallecito, but Dylan never arrived.

Mark Redwine showed up later asking where Dylan was but the three friends didn’t know.

R said he texted and called Dylan’s phone all day but didn’t get replies.

question about dad's appointments/whereabouts Monday morning/confirmation

What I want to find out is, where was the dad? Can we really account for his whereabouts for those four hours?

SGT. DAN BENDER, LA PLATA CTY SHERIFF`S OFFICE (via telephone): The investigators checked at the different locations that Mark Redwine said he was at during that time, including a meeting or two in Durango, I believe. And those were confirmed

BENDER: We have interviewed everyone that we`ve been able to identify who knew or had any time spent with Dylan, and several of those have been multiple interviews

BBM the only person that would be would be dad? He picked him up at the airport. So I gather dad has had multiple interviews with LE. NO one else has came forward to say they saw Dylan once his plan landed...Dylan wanted to see his friends Sunday night but those plans where changed to Monday at 6:30 am (by whom - IDK)

BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS`s, so if they`re turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime.

BBM so that tells me the phone is turned off. Why? He supposedly has his charger with him. LE knows what activities occured on the phone and the last time it was accessed and for what.

BENDER: I do know that the investigators spoke with him on a number of occasions, that would be information on the ongoing investigation, I couldn`t refer to now

that was the answer regarding dad and if he had taken a poly. hmmmm. sounds to me like that would be the next step.

Now, I believe this interview was before LE asked for CCTV tapes from 6pm Sunday through Monday at noon....

My question is - did Dylan make it to dad's house???

"My question is - did Dylan make it to dad's house???"

I asked the same question 3 days ago and had my post deleted! To me, It is the million dollar question. NO DOUBT...It almost answer's itself when compiled with other known facts.

The other possibility is a Mountain Lion Attack. Because of that possibility, DAD gets the benefit of the doubt until we gather more evidence.

The mountain lion population in that are is astoundingly high IMNSHO.

There truly are an astounding number of possibilities only one of which has a good outcome for the boy!

The Sheriffs Office Investigators seem to be doing an excellent job and I do believe this case well be solved.

WOW! Yippie! Thank you for this... Must've been an exhausting little project! Now I feel motivated to fix my ailing printer so I can print all of the MSM docs and maps for easy referencing. That's gonna keep me busy for the next 4 or 5 hours :woohoo:

Missing boy Dylan Redwine's father working with investigators to locate son

His brother Cory said Dylan isn't much of an 'outdoorsy type of teen.'

Mark Redwine said he planned to spend most of the day Thursday working with members of the FBI and CBI.

I'm so glad to hear this! Great news.

Well, I don't think we can say for sure that Dylan made it to Dad's house but I think we have to proceed with assuming that did.

My big problem with the wildlife attack theory is where is his bag? Heck, my problem with every theory boils down to that darn backpack and its contents. Why is all of his stuff missing? Runaway is the only scenario I can make fit with taking all of his stuff and that is the only possibility LE has ruled out.

The lack of real, verified info in this case is astonishing. I read for hours last night, checking every article and there just isn't that much info included. LE is more tight lipped than I can ever remember.

If Dylan had vanished during the night, then all of his things would have been gone too-surely Dad would have seen that?

Here is a start on the timeline. Feel free to add or edit as needed.

7:30am - Dad tries to wake Dylan but he was "out like a light"
7:30am - Dad leaves to run errands and visit his divorce lawyer.
11:30 - Dad returns home and Dylan is not there. His black Hurley backpack is missing. Cell phone, charger and "various other items" are also missing.

? - "Two rescue workers said they possibly saw him on separate occasions Tuesday afternoon, but he fled into the forest. Bender said Wednesday one of the sightings turned out to be a jogger; the second may have been the same jogger or Dylan."

Here is one that might help with the backpack for you, if he was intending on going to friends, and went home and went to bed, and was planning to possiably stay the night he probably wouldn't of even unpacked, and just grabbed his backpack(figure he didn't pack alot due to cost of checked luggage).

This is very OT....and hope that its not inappropriate. If so, I apologize in advance. But sometimes these sad cases need some humorous relief! You guys, talking about house phones and rotary phones, made me think of something hubby and I often chuckle about.

When we lived in the mountains of NC, and someone died, everyone in the community believed in sending casseroles and flowers....casseroles to the grieving family and flowers to the funeral home. It never failed that we would see one arrangement that cracked us up! It was a wreath of flowers with a child's toy rotary phone nestled in it...with the receiver off the hook. In big letters, the ribbon across the wreath would read: JESUS CALLED
Oh my goodness, I would get so tickled I couldn't hold it in. My husband used to say, "Don't answer the phone Honey cause it might be Jesus calling and I'm not ready for you to go." LOL
I always wondered what they did with those little plastic rotary phones after the flowers died?
All I know is that if Jesus calls with those kind of phones, there would be a lot less people passing on. He needs to bump up to a smart phone. (I don't mean to be sacrilegious....but the Lord would probably think this is funny too)
