Per Kevin Torres FB page:

Kevin Torres - about an hour ago.

I spoke with Dylan's mother a short time ago. You'll hear from here later on 9news. My heart goes out to that family. So difficult.

**I think he meant "her"

Yes that sentence. Due to not answering texts from his Son or his Ex while Dylan had just been reported missing. He wishes they could come together? Seems she tried. MOO

It's hard to come together when one party isn't answering calls or texts.

Is a search warrant needed to search the home of a willing person?

No sarcasm intended. I'd really like to know.

I have seen it happen, yes.

A Colorado Bureau of Investigations investigator searches a travel trailer next to Mark Redwine’s house in Vallecito. Redwine’s son, Dylan, has been missing since Nov. 19. Authorities executed a search warrant this morning on Mark Redwine’s home.

Sitting on my hands here. That last remark by MR makes me :furious:

Why? I'm not questioning you, just curious. It would be really helpful if they could work together. I know everyone seems to suspect the dad - but what if mom had someone go pick Dylan up? There are so many, many things that could have happened here. I am glad to know that LE has ruled out runaway (well kind of glad to know that :( I would prefer he was a runaway and safe somewhere) because it takes an option or two out of the equation.

From vasportsmom's post on the timeline:

"Dad tried to wake Dylan but he was out like a light."

IMO I would think Dylan would have been very excited to meet up with his friends that morning. Also I cannot remember one time when having to wake any of my children and not being able to do so. Especially when I had known they had made plans and were looking forward to something. This doesn't sit well with me. just sayin imo Now they might have said, I'm too tired or something, but never a time of no response at all.

The other weird thing, is that Dad told his friend that Dylan was really tired and went to sleep as soon as he got back to the dad's house. So that was about 8 or 9 pm. So why was he so tired 11 hours later that he was out like a rock?

My heart always sinks when I see the photos of the white jumpsuits and booties!

Me too.

I just saw that Durango Herald article was updated with a picture of a CSI in her white jumpsuit and booties.

Not sure in CO, but in CA no. However, if I'm not mistaken it limits them to the plain sight rule, plus its always better to secure a warrant so there aren't any issues later.

Another puzzling issue is the fact Mom had to bring clothes for the scent dogs. Even if DR's stuff was missing, if he slept in the bed or even on a couch w/ a blanket, his scent would have been on something in the house.

This is not weird to me at all. They usually prefer strong scent items and not weak ones. If Dylan went to sleep on a couch that other people use and then used a throw blanket that other people used and hasn't been washed in awhile that would NOT be a good scent item. Dogs are good, but can get confused if they are trying to sort out multiple scents from something that touched the victim once.
All the scent items I have heard of being used are items that the person used pretty much solely for extended time periods-the insides of shoes only they wore, sheets that were just on their bed and not recently washed, etc. I can also think of a few cases where heavy criticism came about because a "new" scent item was used that the victim had only worn once or twice to the point of discounting whatever results the dogs found. It just isn't bizarre to me that they wouldn't use sheets or a couch Dylan had slept on once and could have other people's scents on them too.

The missing clothes still remain the bizarre thing about the case for me-no scenario I can think of matches that except runaway (which they ruled out) and I am even including the one we aren't allowed to mention.

Searching the house again...seems like a bad sign in multiple ways.

This is very OT....and hope that its not inappropriate. If so, I apologize in advance. But sometimes these sad cases need some humorous relief! You guys, talking about house phones and rotary phones, made me think of something hubby and I often chuckle about.

When we lived in the mountains of NC, and someone died, everyone in the community believed in sending casseroles and flowers....casseroles to the grieving family and flowers to the funeral home. It never failed that we would see one arrangement that cracked us up! It was a wreath of flowers with a child's toy rotary phone nestled in it...with the receiver off the hook. In big letters, the ribbon across the wreath would read: JESUS CALLED
Oh my goodness, I would get so tickled I couldn't hold it in. My husband used to say, "Don't answer the phone Honey cause it might be Jesus calling and I'm not ready for you to go." LOL
I always wondered what they did with those little plastic rotary phones after the flowers died?
All I know is that if Jesus calls with those kind of phones, there would be a lot less people passing on. He needs to bump up to a smart phone. (I don't mean to be sacrilegious....but the Lord would probably think this is funny too)

Oh......my.........

:rotfl: :rolling::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::rolling:

:hot:
............. so now can someone please tell me how to clean chicken soup off my computer screen? (Gosh, I really needed that  Thank you!)

Could be a CYA move on the part of the investigators - that way, if they find anything they later want to use as evidence, there's no question whether it's admissable.

Ya and why would you not answer your phone!! What if Dylan or the police called to tell you important info or had questions. Just another thing that makes no sense

I'm not a legal scholar, but it's my understanding that a search warrant has to list everything that is being looked for. So maybe it's a legal thing, and LE had to provide a search warrant to Dylan's dad even if he was agreeable to the search.

Hopefully someone with more legal knowledge will correct me on this if I'm wrong.

I find it interesting that there have not been many...sometimes not any comments on the articles in the local MSM. Am I just missing them because I don't sign in on their websites or have you all noticed this?

Also, we usually get a few locals chiming in on a case like this by the time it gets this much coverage. Where are the neighbors, co-workers and friends? Are any family members out there reading? Do they know how hard we are trying to find what happened to Dylan?

:seeya: Hello Guests!:seeya:

If you know Dylan or his family and are looking for answers, or if you are just concerned for his safety, please sign up and post with us! We could use your input and knowledge of the area! :uthere:

I am so far behind I had to take a vacation day from work to catch up! I meant to post this days ago and all have you have probably read this already, so please forgive if a repeat....

but I found the comments under this article pretty interesting. Granted, they are from unverified, anonymous sources and considered rumor...

One comment lends a little insight to why it may have taken 4 hours to run errands, if Dad went to Durango. They claim to used to have lived right down the road from MR.

Another commenter claims he/she knows MR personally and has a little insight about the last family court date and MR's employment....

I'm afraid to add any more as I don't want to violate TOS!!

Reading these a few days ago....IF TRUE (BIG 'IF')...started to give me more compassion towards the father.

Mods, please delete if against TOS. I think it's okay since I didn't quote?

No. But any good investigator/LE knows that a search warrant gives them access past what permission might. Also, the search warrant can't be revoked - but permission can. You can give LE permission to search the kitchen, but say no to searches of the bedrooms. Or you can give permission to search the kitchen and when it looks like LE has found something incriminating - you can tell them to stop searching and get out.

A search warrant is good for any area covered under the warrant. Also, if for any reason the case goes to court, it prevents (or should, because that is the goal) the defendant from claiming his 4th Amendment rights were violated.

A search warrant is GOOD LE work.

It's a bit more complicated, but that is the gist of it :)

Ya and why would you turn your phone off? Iirc i read his phone was OFF! What if Dylan or the police called to tell you important info or had questions. Just another thing that makes no sense

that was a comment from a facebook page... which is considered a rumor. (which is the reason that we do not allow copy and paste of comments from articles and social media)
