It is said he made it to LaPlat County. So what happened after Walmart/McDonalds? He did not use his phone or the internet. What if dad had "planned" the Monday errands to "cya"? I have not heard LE officially rule out dad. He was the last person to see Dylan - now Dylan is gone....

We don't know that he didn't make them to cover his whereabouts...

I need a lot more information to rule out dad and it seems so does LE.

I'm just jumping off of your post because you said "what if MR planned the trips on Monday to 'cya'", but I'd be interested to hear some opinions on why people think if MR is responsible he would dispose of all of Dylan's belongings? I don't see the benefit.....

Shef, I always appreciate it when you share your story. Helps remind people why we're here and how hard it is for the missing and their families.

For me, being a diver, I'd be in the lake if my son was missing and they thought he was in it. They'd have to arrest or physically restrain me from entering. I'd sign a waiver saying they were free to charge with murder or whatever else if my son was found in it, because frankly if he was in it, I'd be done anyway.

So sad for the families.

Seek, thanks for your encouragement to me (((hugs)))...and thank you for all you do.

All the articles say they believe Dylan was wearing the same clothes when he went missing as in the airport.

Given that he was asleep when Dad left Monday morning, and no one has come forward saying they saw him later, we really don't know what shirt he might have had on when he left. Maybe he changed it, maybe he didn't.

Okay you guys - we need clarification on what shirt Dylan was wearing Monday morning. This is very important because the info is on all his missing posters. Was he wearing the Nike shirt or the shirt from the WalMart/Airport pics?

How can we track this down?

Salem

Salem, just hit me too they did release a new poster today that was linked somewhere in this thread! I'll see if I can find it and add it to this post.

Eta: argh! The updated poster links I found still have the Nike info on them. Will add a link if I find one with the DC info.

Ok, so the St George article that says updated poster has one from 11/28, Westword put out a "new" one that resembles the one from the Find Dylan FB, which is new, but all still have the Nike info listed, as does the NCMEC poster. Does LE have a new one out, maybe? The La Plata SO website has never seemed to easy to nav for Dylan info...:waitasec:

My guess, if this were the case, would be to make it look like he left on his own, ran away, etc.

OT - we would definitely be in for a world of hurt....see posts at beginning of thread.....NO taking sides or something...

even though I think you were just kidding...

I think when they were discussing sides, it was about saying it was one parent or another, maybe I was wrong. I don't believe agreeing with someone would be taking any side, I was talking of agreeing with a simple statement

I did not say Dad was ruled out. No one is ruled out. Not even Mom and her boyfriend. What I said was he didn't make up a story about where he was that didn't check out. What I said was he told the truth about where he was and he didn't make up where he was. I never said a word about it planned or unplanned. I said it was a fact that Dad was where he said he was when he was there.

I just wanted to add this, because it gives an inferred timeframe when Dylan contacted his friends (just after texting Elaine).

Dylan texted his mother, Elaine Redwine, when he arrived at Durango-La Plata County Airport on Nov. 18. The lad immediately contacted friends in Bayfield

Well, the fact Dylan was with his dad when he suddenly had to change his plans with his friends raises a red flag. I wonder if MR forced Dylan to contact his friends because he had a plan of his own that he wanted to execute right away. Plus Dylan's phone was turned off at 8 pm, so did the father have an ulterior motive?

I thought there were some clothes still on the couch, with a blanket, when dad was interviewed by MSM on time. Also, an Ipod was supposedly removed from the house (not sure if Dylan's or dad's or ??), but that has not been confirmed by LE.

Perhaps staging??

:floorlaugh:
Sorry no offense meant I just thought of mine and I couldn't help it!

I have one that would do both and one that would do neither.
So which kind of kid is Dylan ?

  • #752
@ salem Your child is missing and your first thoughts are "I better be careful what I say"? Not the first reaction of an innocent parent. They want to be heard! Find my son! I'm not saying he's guilty, I'm saying his behavior is unusual for a worried parent.

He talked to the authorities, and he gave some interviews. Right out the gate his ex accused him of doing something to the kid. Right out the gate. He was under scrutiny from the very beginning. Once he spoke, internet activity was having a field day. Took every word uttered of his mouth and anaylzed it ad naseum. And not really giving him the benefit of the doubt it was all about more suspicion.

No matter what he said, it was going to be wrong. Even if all he said was "I want Dylan found." People would be analyzing why he phrased it that way, why didn't he say, "I love my son and I miss him so much and I want him found." It could go on and on.

So IMO the best thing he could do is not say much at all and just look for his son, help LE to find his son and let everyone else to think what they want.

And on his left arm........ unless he has a burn or something.

Oops, ya'll been talking about it a lot. That is not a mark or an injury.
It's unnaturally red for one thing and the color and grain of the whole
photo is screwy. Those cams are for one thing and it's not GLAMOUR
SHOTS quality.

I'm so far behind but LMAO glamour shots. I think people are reading a bit much into an obvious poor quality photo.

LE could put me in the slammer or nail me to a cross....but find my kid. Find him now. That's it.

Its like the story in the Bible where King Solomon has two women who come to him and each of them claims the same child is their own. Solomon, in all of his wisdom, says, "Bring me sword and I will cut the child in half...half for each woman." One woman says, "That sounds good...go ahead." But the other says, "NO! Let her have him...just don't hurt him." Solomon knew then and there that this second woman was the real mother.

Slay me if you wish...just help my child.

Dylan, where are you?? You need to come home now. I'm so worried about you since so much time has passed.

I guess it's a matter of what a person thinks "right out of the gate" means. Dylan was reported missing on November 19. Elaine made the comments about suspecting the dad on November 26, a week later. I don't want to get into an argument, but it seems she kept her thoughts and suspicions to herself for several days. After her son was missing a full week, maybe she just had been holding in her suspicions and couldn't do it anymore...

Yes it does, but also parking lot that is paid parking right behind it could even be in same lot as McDonalds, you can actually see the parking lot little building from right infront of mcdonalds. Wonder if there is camera there.

I have a question. Are we sure which McDonalds they ate at? I know the Walmarts by us have McDonalds in them!

Makes sense they would shop and eat in the same store.

Speaking of stores. What kind of store is it down the road from MR's house?

Anybody happen to know? TIA

Wondering why they didn't release video footage so we could see Dylan's mannerisms and the way he walks etc. if he is with a predator, it could be very helpful to the public and increase the odds of someone recognizing him.

From your lips to God's ears. I have been singing that song all along.

They need to release it now not 30 days from now. Geeeez what are they thinking.

Somebody just might remember something about that night but tick tock...the clock is ticking on peoples memories!

I agree.
IMO no matter what he says or does there are going to be people who will accuse him.....
