We don't know that the reporter was basing that statement on the NG interview, do we? They did have a reporter at the search who was talking to folks. She may have gotten that information elsewhere for all I know.

Where would she get it? LE said they don't/won't release the results, she and MR don't speak much, their mutual friend who was giving MR's comments in the beginning said she hadn't heard the results. Who else would know?

I would like to know if he has before too. But if he did set off to hitchhike I just don't understand why he would do it without first making sure his friends were home since he wasn't there at 6:30am as planned (and that is awfully early IMO for 13 year old boys to make plans), or leaving a note to let dad know where he went?

IMO there probably wasn't a whole lot of mutual respect between the two.
I can understand Dylan not leaving a note.

What I can't understand, why he wasn't in contact with anyone that morning.
There was a landline, if for some bizarre reason his phone died.

Wow, what coincidence. Talk about having a bad day. I would bet the odds of having a phone wear out on the very day someone goes missing would be more than astronomical.

Not to mention that every kid in the area was off school that day and the only one that was abducted was the one who just got there on a flight the night before. To supposedly reluctantly visit with a father who just fought for that visitation in court. Even though people saw other kids in the area that day, it just happened to be Dylan with the dead battery in his cell phone that was picked up in his t-shirt and shorts while walking down the road carrying a fishing pole.

That's a strange coincidence. Possible I suppose, just strange.

How many others were there walking alone in the area he was at"

Theoretically only LE and MR would have that data, and as far as I know they have not said.

Stands to reason if he passed with flying colors, he would say so. Imo

I don't know. For all I know, the reporter has a cousin who's a waitress in a diner that overheard two cops talking about it. I'm not going to assume it came from NG anymore than I'm going to believe the statement itself is true. :moo:

Well I thought we had a postal worker who saw someone who looked like Dylan. So would the postal worker have been delivering to roadside mailboxes? Wonder what time that was?

Does it seem odd to anyone else that with all the opportunities dad has had, he has never once pleaded for his child's safe return?

In fairness, neither has mom...but we know what her gut is telling her and by now she's hanging on by her fingernails, that its not true. Imo

That and the very strange comment he made about Dylan has nobody to fear or be afraid of? (don't quote me because I don't remember the exact wording) but to me given the circumstances, what a very odd comment to make. How does he know Dylan doesn't have anyone to fear? If he's been abducted by some stranger and is still alive he has everything to fear!

Tricia started the discussion giving MAJOR PROPS to all members, specifying TXJan1971, Confusion and vasportsmom and they awesome work. She suggests that local LE take a look at it.

Agreed! When he said " ive done everything LE has asked of me, interviews, searches, etc.. " would have been an ideal time to say " i took an ldt and passed it'' .... So since we know he did take a test, why not mention the results, KNOWING everyone is scrutinizing him? What better way to shut up all the MR doubters than to say HE PASSED THE POLY ?

Wasn't Dylan, another child that looks like him and lives in the area.

I did hear that, Beach. Please let Tricia know at a later time that I do appreciate her comments/thanks. I just can't comment as a guest.

Marc's thoughts on Dylan's case -

I've followed this case. I am very disturbed by the father's behavior. He seems to have a violent temper. I am not comfortable with his "I don't want to do media" - that should not have anything to do with the investigation. He is making it very, very difficult to remove himself as a suspect.

I can see where things are going.

Tricia just made a great point about MR saying he didn't want to make a statement and take away from the search. SP said that too!
