Just checking in.
Can't stop thinking of Dylan and where he could be. I have tried to take a break from this thread the last two days to step away from the sadness, but I find myself still thinking about this dear child and I can't get over that this young boy has seemingly vanished without a trace!
Why?! How?! What has happened?! Where is he?! Why do things like this keep happening to our children?!? I will never understand. It just makes me so, so sad.

Please let Dylan be found soon!:please:

I took a break from Dylan's thread too because I believe that until more info is released or Dylan is found, we are just going to keep going around in circles. I have been lurking on and off, but it every time I check in, it feels like groundhog's day.....deja vu all over again. I may not be posting much right now, but I haven't forgotten about Dylan.

Where are you, Dylan?? Please let today be the day you come.:please:

So this means
A) nothing HAPPENED inside the home
B) Dylan was never inside the home.

If only we knew which . :(

Where did they say he was never inside the home??

If they could prove that .. THAT would be HELPFUL. They state they have NOTHING HELPFUL ...

imo

Nothing HELPFUL ..

That could mean no blood or crime scene evidence;

No proof that Dylan never made it to the house (because if they could prove he didn't make it to the house, THAT would be HELPFUL);

No proof that MR is lying (because THAT would be helpful);

No proof of what might have happened to Dylan.

I think they are stumped.

imo

This makes no sense to me. They had to have seen things, if the cereal bowl was there, if the clothes were there, etc. If not, wouldn't it indicate deception in dad's statement? There are a lot of things they could infer from a sweep of the house...and LE has so many great techniques of figuring this stuff out...that is why I am fascinated with investigations. It is so awesome how they do their work....

They searched his house TWO WEEKS after DR went missing. I'm sure the cereal bowl wasn't still on the counter.

All they are saying is that they found nothing at the house that could be helpful to the investigation. Nothing in the house lead them in a particular direction or towards a particular person.

Thats all .. imo.

You're right. They didn't say that. I did and forgot the mooo.
If they found nothing useful,,, I take that to mean it doesn't help
either way , as in prove he was taken from home or prove he
was not taken from home, so. I misspoke I guess.

I think there is a missing fishing pole!
I think dad bought one that night!
this is why he mentioned it.
Otherwise he would not have said anything about the pole.
I think this is also why we have not seen dads video at walmart!

All jmo

Hmmmm. Quizzical!
I'm going to think about this!

Premeditated.

Did not know that. Wow. Well that was dumb on LE's part. Are you sure about that? I'm sure they at least did a once over on it at first (at least I would hope LE in not that incompetent).

IIRC they did do a once over. Nothing forensic tho. I wonder if anyone remembers a cereal bowl etc. Not that it would matter now or even 2 weeks in.

They walked through almost immediately, but they did not search and do forensics for two weeks (or there about) ..

Well, I am talking more of just what they saw in the house immediately...they are great at what they do (LE that is)

Some interesting facts about the Redwine family. Elaine Redwine inherited their home near the Vallecito Reseivour.
During the time frame of the divorce of Elaine and Markn she sold said home to Mark for a very nominal amount, less than 20 dollars. He became the sole owner. She completed this action with a "quit claim" deed. Mark hired a restoration company for the home, at a later point in time the restoration company put a lien on the home for work that he did not pay for.
So where and how did I find this, easy, La Plata County records. Many legal transactions are a matter of public record.
So how would these facts figure into the current case, well not too much. But anyone quit claiming a deed to a home is could be very kind or desperate to sever all contact with the other party. Or there are many other possible reasons. It is a reflection of the relationship that Mark and Elaine had and could have some bearing on their missing child.

The nominal amount of less than $20 is not accurate, when you look at many deeds, they say "for the consideration of Ten Dollars and other valuabale consideration" I really don't know why they do that but it is what it is.

But they would not be able to ascertain whether they were picking up Dylan's scent on the couch or not without something that HAD his scent on it. So they needed a scent item with ONLY Dylan's scent on it (the clothing that ER brought) to be able to verify whether it was his scent they were picking up or not, seeing as a couch is fairly communal and probably had quite a few others who sat on it, leaving their scent behind to contaminate Dylan's.

I have absolutely no knowledge in searching with dogs, only what I've picked up here, but it's my understanding that you need something that clearly has someone's scent on it to be able to find out whether that exact scent is picked up in places where others peoples scent is also present.

JMO.

ETA: From your last comment I see that I misunderstood where you were coming from, I apologize. I don't believe any information regarding the dog searches has been released, so as yet I don't believe we know whether a fresh scent showing he had been there the night before has been found or not. I think that's why I feel so frustrated, we have pretty much nothing to go on.

Assuming that the dogs couldn't get a good scent from the couch and sheet (or blanket) because others could have sat/slept/use those items. What about his clothing that was there? It said in an article that there was some clothing (Denver Post 12/2/12) sorry I can't figure out how to attach the threads. I'll learn.

That all makes sense to me. But, ER had to get clothing from her home in Colo Spgs. The only way it would be possible for the clothing to NOT be contaminated from ER's house is if Dylan had his own clothes hamper or he left clothing on the floor. Otherwise his clothing would be mixed in with the laundry for the entire family. Right?
