yes except he would need to say what Dylan was watching before MR went to bed. He should know what was on at that time, that then has to match up to the station and programming, its more detailed.

like Gerard Baden-Clay said his wife Allison had been watching the footy show before he went to bed. (and sent text messages to her the next morning)

MR said Dylan had been up until 4am the night before he arrived in Durango and thats why he was so tired, have we seen that confirmed or said by ER or LE? I haven't and IMO it sounds like he is setting the scene, it removes any blame from him and places it on ER making it her fault.

IMO if someone lies they are going to have to use the KISS principle because if they add in more detail its too easy to trip themselves up.

Yes I'd like to know how detailed his story was to LE regarding the night before and how Dylan ended up crashing on the couch, whether he was watching TV, had a snack or something to drink etc.

If he tripped up, I'd say it was with the missing fishing pole.

So at under 200ft, it is an unregistered tower but with the elevation a 152ft tower should be adequate for the area.

I can't see there being no reception in the area, especially on a Monday morning when a lot of people are at work and the tower is not likely being overused.

MOO

That won't help if your phone is Verizon or Sprint, because they use different cell technologies. I think T-Mobile will work on AT&T but it would be roaming.

I reported it. I don't think it is supposed to be.

It looks like the timeline doc has been removed.

O/T - exchange with JR's family now going on the FB page (the CMCF one)....so sad

now thats a detail that would be hard to prove or disprove. it could be fact or it could be a red herring.

its a detail that doesn't require a lot of thought, maybe a brand, what sort of reel (if its a rod), if it folds down or its one piece, what sort of line is on it.

it would be easy to mix and match a description from other poles you have.

There really is not much we can do about it. It does appear to be a plagerized copy of TexJan's timeline. Also, there is a note on the page that the page will be deleted at 10:00 p.m. this evening. It appears that Dylan's family would like for there to only be one facebook page. That's probably a good idea, especially since Dylan's case has already had one scammer.

Salem

And apparently, the admin of the FB group referenced (the one with TexJan's timeline) has her own controversy going on in regards to creating FB's for missing kids/soliciting funds in the name of Jessica Ridgeway without authorization, etc.

See the above link for further details, as I'm not sure how much I can paraphrase here - I tend to stay away from the FB references, because, even after nearly 4 years on WS - I can never remember how much we can say! :blushing:

Yes it's easy to say a fishing pole is missing but in hindsight it doesn't seem to fit in with the fact that Dylan also supposedly took his backpack with everything in it. Unless it can be determined that fishing was on the agenda for him and his friends that day I suppose.

You don't need cell reception to "send a text." The phone will let you type it out, and will transmit it - the next time it can connect to a cell tower. So MR could have sent a few texts and they could have been queued up for an hour. Unless you are inspecting the phone to look at "unsent texts" or checked to see if you had any bars before hitting "send", you wouldn't know.

Yes, HOWEVER he was sitting at home waiting to see if Dylan replied. So if he had no reception, would he do that? He said that when he got no replies, he decided to go to the friends houses.

So IMO, he had to have some cell reception at home, at least enough to receive texts in reply.

I really felt like LE might have a handle on this case by now. Its not looking like it though. I'm saddened by it....I'm worried Dylan won't be found for a while.

I've seen TxJan's timeline document on a facebook page Missing Dylan Redwine CMCF. Is that ok??

Did they really do that? I just got back online and am catching up...

I don't know. My kids watched a show after school. I have NO idea what show it was. Do most parents really tune in to that? I mean, maybe enough to know if it's appropriate or not- but to know the show title or what it was about?

Either way, I wasn't trying to say "here is proof that he's telling the truth." I'm not even looking to get on any sides. I'm just reflecting that it was odd.

How did they get it? Who did it. The poster should be on the share.

There is a link in TxJan's timeline (at the very end) to the CMCF FB page. Maybe that needs to be re-done to link to the FindMissingDylanRedwine FB page which I believe is the original source of that info. I could be wrong. MOO

OK let me go find it and what it referred to...
THanks for notifying me. I don't mind sharing, but I think it should be our ADMINS that make that decision... it was meant for WS use - unless we password protect it... I dunno... I'll let the higher powers that be decide. I'm just a fellow sleuther...

I didn't see it and I think that FB page is down now so....

I've seen this happen in other high profile cases. That document needs to be watermarked.

I thought he said he didn't get a reply.

He didnt get a reply. But my point is that he must have known that he had cell service in his home, or he would not have relied upon it to find out if his son was safe and sound. Does that make sense?

He told us that when he arrived home at 11:30, he was not alarmed because he assumed Dylan was at his friends. So he texted to make sure he was ok, and waited to hear from him. IF THERE WAS NO SERVICE THERE, HE WOULD NOT RELY UPON IT TO CHECK ON HIS SONS SAFETY, IMO.

Tennlynn, you were right! I had added that link because on that Facebook page they had a TIMELINE that I thought would be helpful for folks to compare what "they" were using as a timeline.

I deleted the entire link to the timeline.

Thanks

What do you suggest I watermark it? Property of Websleuths? Any mod advice/recommendations or leave as is?

Thanks!
