Do we have any verified information that Dylan chose to live with his mother, or even that his father wanted primary custody? From what ER has said, MR was on the road a lot, why would he want (or why would a court consider) primary custody for a parent who is on the road working, when there is a parent who he could live with who is home most nights?

From what I understood, MR wanted visitation, not full custody. If I missed something, please correct me. I just don't remember ever seeing anything that said MR wanted primary custody, or that DR chose which parent he would live with the majority of the time.
I knew it was Dylan’s second trip to his father’s but I didn’t realize it was his first trip since his mother was awarded primary custody until Kamille pointed it out.

Denise Hess told NG Dylan’s parents began fighting after the Judge awarded primary custody of Dylan to his mother <modsnip>.

GRACE: Or one of the issues they fought about Dylan?

HESS: Not really to my knowledge until Elaine was awarded custody of Dylan and then Mark went and asked for visitation rights. That`s the only thing I know of. Other than that –

I assumed because Dylan’s first trip went okay, he wasn’t in any imminent danger when he was alone with his father, but after I learned Elaine Redwine won primary custody of Dylan and Dylan testified at the hearing, I realized Mark was a real threat to his son.

My response to MR’s statement that his wife has all the answers is that during the custody hearing Elaine explained to the Judge why she was “the better parent for Dylan” and the Judge agreed that Dylan “belonged” with his mother not his father, so Elaine had all the right answers to convince the Judge she should be her son’s primary custody, not his father Mark.

Obviously MR can’t take his anger out on the adults involved and beat them up.

It was also on a a website somewhere, I just don't remember where. I didn't read it on the scanner thread.

ETA: I read what was found that day, I was writing them down at the time, but it was somewhere else that I read that they only considered 10 items worth saving.

Out of dozens of items flagged by searchers, about 10 are being evaluated for their value in the investigation, Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Dan Bender said

What did Dylan say at the hearing that supposedly would upset MR enough to want to kill him?

And why couldn't MR take out his anger out on adults?

So, what rumor was said about the family member? we can talk rumor and speculate about Dad, why is mom and brother off limits? Since it is all rumor and/or speculation at this point anyway?

Do you know this for sure? If I recall the person that was discussed the other day and caused the thread to shut down worked at a dog grooming place. The person from the FB thread worked at a coffee shop. Just curious if this is your speculation or if you actually saw the posts. MOO

Correct. Two different people. I did see the Coffee shop employees posts on the Find Dylan page a while ago. Her posts saying the same inflammatory things are still on other facebook pages (NOT official Dylan page).

(I'm trying to stay within bounds of what I can say, sorry).

Important Changes to the discussion :

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. To be clear, the victim in any case we cover is the victim (missing and/or deceased child and/or adult). Dylan Redwine is missing and he is our victim.

We are going to open discussion and sleuthing on Dylan's father Mark Redwine although he has not been named a person of interest. More often than not, we are finding that LE is reluctant to name a POI unless and until an arrest is imminent. However, the actions of LE may often times speak louder than words and for this reason, we are now going to allow discussion about Dylan's father.

Any questions or concerns with the above? Please personal message a moderator or administrator.

So, what rumor was said about the family member? we can talk rumor and speculate about Dad, why is mom and brother off limits? Since it is all rumor and/or speculation at this point anyway?

cause the nurse said NO! and this is a victim friendly site (includes victim family members)....only exception at this time is MR

I'm not sure how this proves that MR was a threat to Dylan, or why he was interested in beating anyone up. After ER moved, perhaps the judge awarded her primary custody due to the fact that her job has a schedule that allows her to be home with Dylan. As we understand it, MR's job required him to spend considerable time away from home. I actually find it interesting that MR and ER didn't fight about Dylan until they went to court over primary custody, which was fairly recently. That disagreement could have been over child support or visitation arrangements.
imo

At the start of the thread they explain. Victim friendly community, so victims get protection. Sometimes actions of LE speak louder than words, and the searches & time line seemed to indicate that MR was at least a possible POI, whereas mom and brother are, so far as we know, not possible POIs.

I'd love to see dad go back on protection status now that we know nothing came of the searches on his property, but I respect the lines drawn and abide by them.

I totally agree that mom and brother shouldn't be sleuthed- they don't need their world torn apart and paraded by the media. It won't help find Dylan. JMO

Can you say if it was along the same lines as what was said on NG? <modsnip>. I saw the NG comments but didn't see these.

RE: custody. I also think it's worth noting that they didn't fight over Dylan in a manner than would draw attention from Ms. Hess until recently.

Considering his work, he may have never asked for *custody* he may have just been asking for basic visitation.

Considering that ER is getting remarried and all, she may have wanted him out of the picture completely.

IOW- we don't know that he was fighting for custody. No judgment against ER AT ALL. With his work, I think there is a fair chance that he just wanted to be on the visitation schedule. I don't think we can assume that he would be bent over this if he got what he wanted- visitation.

I'd like to know how many of the cabins and RV spaces were being rented at the time, and how many of the renters were friends of the guy above the office.

I'd like to know if anyone staying in the area in a cabin, RV, dude ranch, etc checked out earlier than their expected departure date (leaving that Monday AM) or was nowhere to be found for a day or few from that Monday on. Though the latter would be hard to figure out given the purpose of vacationing there is to go off into the wilderness and nature all day.

and no where in the NG transcript provided about did Ms. Hess say they were fighting. MR didn't "beat up" anyone, as posted above <modsnip>.

With the items collected how long does it take to know if they are dylans?

They didn't say. I think it said that they didn't think it would be anything real helpful. I'll look again for the article I had read if I ever quit coughing long enough.

Did marks child support go up sustantially when ER got primary custody?
Sometimes NCP get quite upset about this. For MR to seek out spending more time with him and he could show he spent so much % time with Dylan could may help the Child support to go down? Was he/is he also paying spousal support? They were married 20 years. Of course when she marries that would end but apparently they are not married but living together. Could it be all the money issues are upsetting?
Just thinking out lour.

Do you have links to back up these "facts" or are these just more rumors starting? TIA

From the way it sounds, she probably makes more money than he does. Maybe she had to pay him support and she just wanted to end it (by getting primary custody, not by killing him.)

I'm interested in knowing the answer too, this is the first I've heard of this.

She also had a partner once she moved, and DR's brother was living there too. Not sure if he lived in the same home, but I believe he moved to Colorado Springs when they did. MOO

After she rec'd the call Dylan was missing, she left for the 6 hr. drive at 5:30 to find him. That was well within an hour of MR's initial call/text. Based on that my opinion is she loved, cared & was very concerned for his well-being.
