I'm wondering why he didn't text his mom until 7:06

IIRC, Dylan was replying to mom's text. She asked if dad had picked him up yet, and he replied " yes--scowlie face"

The Durango Herald article reports that Mark works at United Pipeline System. Do we know what he does for this company?

It seems I recall somewhere in these million threads that it was thought he is a truck driver.

good question since its a half hour drive they should have left by 6am, so why did MR leave so much later and yet not be able to wake Dylan in that time.

Although MR didn't tell us what Dylan did when he arrived at his house Sunday evening, ER said Dylan was in the habit of showering and dressing the night before, so he should have been ready to go Monday morning with his dad.

snipped

"Dylan was one of those kids that would take a shower and get dressed the night before and wake up the next morning and go to school already ready. But he didn’t like mornings. but he would always get up and go to school."

I need to apolgize to you all for not responding earlier. I know that many of you had questions and then wondered why there were no responses. I was busy yesterday and only had my phone, I'm so horrible at getting to the last post on the last thread that it would have taken me forever on my phone.
In answer to some of the questions posted and I apologize if I don't remember all of your questions.

Mark did not pay for the college education of my children, neither did I. They had great opportunities presented to them and have/are receiving their educations without my help.

Our divorce did not take years to get finalized, it was finalized in short order, within one year, but the court proceedings regarding BS went on for years.

As far as giving up parental rights, papers were drafted (twice) I signed, I don't know that MR signed, but his attorney never filed them. (I didn't have an attorney at that time) I don't know if that was MR's doing or his attorney's inaction, IMO I find it highly doubtful that an attorney would forget for several years to file legal documents, but it happened. The only part that "stuck" in the courts eyes was that he was no longer ordered to pay CS, the ability for the boys to be adopted was not legal so they were never adopted. In AZ, you can't just give up your rights to minor children, it's not that easy. That is why WE made the offer to MR.

ER and I are not besties, someone mentioned that we were very close. We are not, we aren't enemies, we aren't BFF's. Over the years, especially after ER, CR & DR visited in 2008 we had a bond if you will, we understood each other. We grew up and moved on, we had no qualms towards or about each other and knew that no matter what, we (the mothers of the children) would always be tied together. No my boys aren't hers and her boys aren't mine, but they are brothers.

What do I think happened? Have you ever had that feeling where the hair on the back of your neck stands up? Where every fiber of your being is telling you something that no matter how you look at it, you can't figure it out but you can't ignore it either. That's how I feel. Keep in mind it has been many, many years since we divorced, yes people can change, I did, I'm stronger, wiser and not so quick to believe everything I'm told. Has he changed? I don't know. I do know that any conversation or court hearings seemed the same. I do know that their are people that believe that others are idiots, that charm, charisma, wit and smiles can make them believe anything. The saying "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS" is appropriate.

I don't know all the rules here, so everything I say is IMO.
It breaks my heart to think that Dylan is not with us, but the brain and gut tell me he isn't. I want him to be ok, I want him to walk in and hug his mommy, I want him to tell her of great adventures that he has had over the past 28 days, I want him to get a smartphone for Christmas, to get grounded for the rest of his life so that ER always knows exactly where he is. I would give anything in the world, I would make any deal with the devil himself if it would bring him to his mommy this very second. I just don't think that is a possibility.

I find it very strange that MR gives interviews that all start at going to eat, going to Walmart and then stops, nothing, then it picks back up at 730 am the next day. It's not because of MR, I would find that odd in any person who's child is missing. Why is there no mention of, we went to McDonald's and Walmart, drove home, put all the groceries away and then watched tv, I went to bed and DR was still watching xxxxxxxxx on tv.
Nothing is ever mentioned from Walmart to 730 am.

Even by MR's statements, IMO, there is noone that spoke with or heard from DR after 8 pm Sunday, the 18th. Not even MR.

Thank you once again azgrandma for giving us your input on this case. The bolded part of your post has been bothering me from the beginning.

MOO

I am thinking this about video between Durango and Vellecito, they are asking for it during times that it is dark, not sure they are going to get alot of that video that would be viewable.

Someone else touched on this but one of my thought on this has been any video along the main CR's from businesses (like small auto body shops, convenience stores, anything that has cameras) could be helpful if MR is being so "cooperative" and truthful about the timeline that Sunday night. If they got home around a certain time LE should be able to narrow down where on the road his vehicle would be within a narrow window of time. Like you said, it would be dark and the quality would be poor, but I'm wondering what traffic would be like on a Sunday night and how many (white trucks?) vehicles like MR's were on that route at that time.

Can anyone direct me to the transcript of MR's interview that someone was kind enough to type up for us? I think he touched on his employment in that interview didn't he?

No, more like getting their hair and nails done. MOO

AS opposed to paying for food and rent and clothing? Are their kids starving and homeless?

Or does mom clothe, feed and care for them as well as get her own needs met, like hair and nails done?

Looks like this case is pretty much solved. All the answers are here. Nothing more to do now but wait for the body to be discovered and an arrest of our favorite suspect. JMO

Solved? - I don't think so, just more details emerging on the almost non-existent timeline & confirmation on some red flags many people see / saw.

Do I THINK he may have actually gone to the lake? Possibly.
Do I THINK he might have gotten into the lake on his own? Possibly.
Do I THINK he might have had an accident on his own at the lake? Possibly.
Do I THINK he might have gotten into the lake with some help? Possibly.

However, based on the latest article about his EARLY MORNING plans with his friends and his mom's statement that he wasn't all that into fishing, I'm sticking with
a) he never made it to dad's,
b) he started out walking/hitching to his friend's and something happened, and even
c) HE RAN AWAY

Just because someone else (i.e. LE) rules out that he did not run away doesn't mean that I can't still consider it as one of MY possibilities - until I have some kind of confirmation from the higher powers that be that there is evidence to rule otherwise....

Jumping off your thoughtful post...

When LE says Dylan did NOT run away... I imagine that means he did not run away from dad"s house between the 7:30 a.m. And 11:30 a.m. (Roughly) time frame that Mark says Dylan disappeared...

But... I think there is a possibility that after a heated discussion in the car from the town to dad's house... Dad may have ordered him out of the car... Or Dylan got out of the car.. And in essence...he walked or "ran away"...

Hope this makes sense...

For me personally this does not work for me .

As what are the odds that Dad does that and then Dylan is snatched ?

And if this did happen then why does MR not admit that he got angry and told Dylan to walk home ? , after all he is not guilty of anything besides losin his temper !

My hubby was addicted to his old flip phone....but when it broke, after years of service, he found that AT&T didn't have them anymore. So he got the original iPhone....which he didn't want to get because it was nothing like the flip phone. Now, he will not get rid of that original iPhone. He gives his upgrades to one of the kids.
I guess he's just sentimental about things. Or stubborn. LOL

LOL I think it's called change and age...when you share that with him remind him of course I'm much older than he is..;)

The thought has also occurred to me that the fishing pole may have been brought up as an excuse, to explain why Dylan was there if our worst fears are realized and Dylan is eventually found in the lake? Not sure why, but my thoughts keep taking me back there...(jmo)

in the video, Elaine Redwine said "Dylan wouldn’t just grab a fishing pole and head to the lake by himself."

There must be teams of people who can search during winter weather; people go missing on snowy mountains all the time and we hear of search and rescue efforts. I hate to think that that ground and/or water searches might be halted until spring. I hope that this isn't the case (and have not seen it written as such) but so often, we hear that searching will resume after snow melts, etc.

When requested, search teams come from all over the world to help in some cases. I wish they would reach out and get some areas cleared. We've seen that waiting around for a confession or a lucky "find" can be fruitless.

Good idea!

Do you have a logical theory that you would like us to discuss? I try to look at things from all angles. My number one suspect is dad and I am not on the fence about it, but I do have a number two suspect which is abduction by a random perp. Of course I find this to be much less likely than scenario one. Also I don't think Dylan ran away, is hiding out or that anyone is hiding him, but I would LOVE to be wrong because then there would be a greater chance for a live Dylan to come home.

This is interesting as Ryan asks why he can not come and Dylan replys with " IDK" - So why did he not say " Dad says its to late to visit you tonight " ?

seems a bit off IMO

And if you put it together with this statement from MR:

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8645487&postcount=523"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - CO CO- Dylan Redwine, 13, Vallecito, 19 November 2012 - #17[/ame]

It really leaves me wondering if Dylan was really the person texting his friend.

I'm curious if "tomarrow" is a how Dylan commonly misspelled tomorrow.

How about a criminal profiler? I'd love to have their input....
If the FBI is still involved, maybe they already have one unknown to us...
Would love to hear what Robt Ressler, John Douglas, Pat Brown, Dayle Hinman think about what happened and a perp profile...
