Nope but since we are allowed to speculate about people, I'm speculating about why ER hasn't gone on MSM to the networks to plead for Dylan's return. Since it doesn't appear she hasn't, I'm speculating as to why that would be. That's all.

Maybe she wants "the focus to be on Dylan". That seems to be working for MR as to why has never given an interview to plead for his return. Or to say much of anything really. And personally I'd rather hear from the person who lives locally, whose home he went missing from, and who could have been driving up to the house at any minute when Dylan disappeared. The person who should be the most upset that someone had to audacity to take "that boy" away from him, on his watch.

I've heard from ER. She put herself out there on national media, on more than one occasion, and I think we all know where her thoughts were at that time. I'm not so sure LE has been able to assure her that her suspicions are baseless. Perhaps she still feels that the person she would be pleading with is not listening?

MOO

Sorry I know people hate this question but... do you have a link for that? I feel like it's been stated over and over that he didn't want to go visit, but the only back-up I've heard for that is the fact that there was a court order for the visit.

...the sister of ER, said the family has told authorities Dylan didn't run away. She also said Dylan wanted to spend Thanksgiving with family members in Castle Rock and was disappointed he had to go to see his father.

I remember the offer in a post (out of california?). It was my understanding the offer/information was going or had been shared with ER. And then I may be way off base in the memory department..

I had wondered what happened with that request....

Thanks. Interesting.

It was on the threads? Hmm missed that one. Wonder if it was a legit offer.

So much silence all around.

That is interesting. I posted a couple of hors ago that on the video MR was talking about his last flight being round trip which led me to believe this one wasn't.

This brings up a point that's been stuck in my mind too. I've read it's roughly 5-6 hour drive from his Mom's house to his Dad's, or at least to Durango where the airport is. Given the airport check in time, searches, possibly changing planes (can't recall if he had to do this or not), it seems like it'd make more sense for one of the parents to drive him, or for them to meet mid-way somewhere. I realize it's kind of a long drive round-trip but it still seems like it'd be both more convenient and cheaper to drive.

:truce:

One more thought: someone had mentioned checking out a connection to drugs because of the missing man and the dead drug dealer found near the missing guys car: I read that article and they sound pretty hard -core to me.....Now --MR is 52 and a boozer. Not trying to generalize but drinkers USUALLY stick with booze with maybe a dabble of weed or coke at this age. Druggies USUALLY stick with drugs, self -medicating with alcohol when out of drugs. Hard core druggies just don't live to 52 IMHO. With all that being said, of course any new lines of thinking bear a little look-see......just me myself I don't see it at all with those 2 guys.

Just MOO!

Respectfully snipped and BBM...

Is it known he's a boozer? I realize there was the instance of hanky panky under a window and a fight with CR, but is it linked that he's a full blown alcoholic or boozer if you will? I thought I've read everything on this thread and don't recall any other instances. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

No, I think it was mentioned on the FB page. I can't recall when. Sorry.

Dan Bender, a spokesman for the La Plata County Sheriff's Office, said investigators from the beginning had considered the possibility that a crime was the cause of Dylan's disappearance.“We've looked at the criminal aspect early on, since the second day he was missing,” he said.
As days went by with no sign of Dylan, investigators ruled out that he ran away.
“We're left with kidnapping and foul play,” Bender said.
The sheriff's staff searched Mark Redwine's home last Thursday. The sheriff is not calling him a suspect or discusszing details about the search, Bender said.

This was one of the last times (I think) we had a statement from LE. I know they said some things about the last search.

But Bender's statement I bolded says a lot to me.

Does he make this statement because they have no evidence that Dylan even made it to dad's house? Possibly not because they are left with kidnapping and foul play. But something or someone made them think right away in a criminal investigation.

I keep going back to - who has the most to gain if Dylan is gone?

If it was an accident, why lie?

I feel like a cat chasing my tail....

WoW, day 2 he said for a reason. :what: Why point that out???

“We've looked at the criminal aspect early on, since the second day he was missing,” he said.

I know this video has been posted before but I've watched it several times now and each time, it leaves me with the impression that MR was drinking/or maybe a little intoxicated the night of the vigil. It was also reported he was late arriving and said he didn't know there was a vigil.

Pay close attention at approx 2:05 into the video

http://kdvr.com/2012/11/27/missing-teens-father-discusses-exhaustive-search/

here's where it's reported he arrived late and didn't know about the vigil

You know Mija, I must apologize to all here because I actually made an assumption about MR based ONLY on several reported episodes in the shared history of ER and MR. THERE IS NO BASIS IN FACT FOR ME TO HAVE SAID THAT. My assumption was only based upon personal life experiences and job experience at my county welfare agency.

Mea Culpa. I shouldn't have given voice to an assumption. (Or in this case printed word)
Thank you for that well deserved check.

What constitutes "outdoorsy"? I used to love fishing with my dad, and going swimming, but I wasn't "outdoorsy". I still would've rather spent my time inside drawing, reading, or writing most of the time. And you couldn't have made me go camping. Forget that.

During the summer, Dylan and his friends would pile three or four to a bicycle and cruise down to the Pine River

The boys hung out for “weeks on end during the summer,” W***** said. “We wouldn’t go home forever.”

But he prefers being outside throwing the ball to watching it on TV. He likes to snowboard, roller skate and wrestle with his brother and loves anything water-related – from water rides at the amusement park to camping trips by the river.
