So this could be the trip to Castle Rock MR mentioned when talking about their thanksgiving plans.

I believe MR said his Brothers possibly for Thanksgiving. It caused us to take a look at that as well. I haven't time to find the link.

I like to think I'm outdoorsy. When it's warm. When cold not so much.

Snipped the rest....

WTH? Where is this coming from?

Agreed - the only actual mention has been in those he said/she said handwritten forms lodged years ago by both MR and ER. Likewise the rumours of physical abuse and drug use - I don't know where they have come from but they are tossed around here as though they are fact.

MR brother, David, lives in Castle Rock. DR grandmother lives in Florence, CO. We "heard" the grandmother was dying from cancer. YET they drove her about 1 hour from Florence to C Springs when she's dying?

Maybe, just maybe ... we need to all rethink what we "hear" and it really, really, really helps to READ court records and not just take what someone "said" as fact? JMO

And those charges were dismissed after 6 months, by the COURT for both MR and ER/CR.

Yes that's what I meant. MR referred to it in the "uncut" clip and iirc some howled about how unreasonable it would have been for him to take Dylan to Castle Rock. Maybe Dylan wanted to go there after all.

Nope. How can you snowboard in the summer? See above with the comments from the DH news site. Which is what we are talking about here ... DR.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121215/NEWS01/121219687/A-boy’s-life

During the summer, Dylan and his friends would pile three or four to a bicycle and cruise down to the Pine River

The boys hung out for “weeks on end during the summer,” W***** said. “We wouldn’t go home forever.”

But he prefers being outside throwing the ball to watching it on TV. He likes to snowboard, roller skate and wrestle with his brother and loves anything water-related – from water rides at the amusement park to camping trips by the river.

also from the article:

They went fishing together, but Dylan would quickly become bored and start skipping rocks or swimming in the lake instead. He wouldn’t just grab a fishing pole and head to the lake by himself, his mother said

From watching the video of him and his friends swimming/outside and the things that CR has said.....I get the impression that DR loved outside "group" activities. I haven't seen anything that says he would go off by himself. But then again...

PLEASE refer to my hasty apologetic retraction, post 1001.
Again...I DO NOT know if MR is in fact a long term habitual user / abuser of alcohol. The main thing I was trying to get across was my opinion that MR was not involved with drugs, the murdered drug dealer, or his companion from CO who is still missing.
Please pardon me while I finish my slice of humble pie. :-)

I know the uncut video seemed to cut off when MR was talking about plane tickets, etc.

I wondered if ER was going to be in Castle Rock over Thanksgiving and if MR and Dylan was going to possible be in Castle Rock at his brother's, could it be possible that MR was going to drop Dylan off at ER's family there?

I'm not sure if I remember when Dylan was to be back at his mom's. Possibly Saturday?

If I am way off, please let me know...LOL

At best guess, I'd say it's because they're not releasing any info to the public. They haven't cleared anyone, they haven't released what they've found in any of their searches (either of MR's home, car, property, etc; or of the roadside searches that have taken place), and they haven't released any details of the interviews or polygraphs that both parents have likely taken. All that has been released is that there was a hit on the lake, and that may not have even been Dylan.

I believe that they're either playing their cards very close to their chest, or there's absolutely no information or evidence showing what happened to Dylan. Therefore, I don't really see this as a sign of guilt for anyone involved, it's just that nothing has been discovered so they have nothing to release.

I'm fairly sure that LE would know which vehicle Mark drove, and seeing as the vehicles have been released back to him (again, something that was not explicitly released to the media, but was something that I believe was found true a few threads back), I don't believe they found anything of interest there.

JMO :)

Speaking of releasing Marks vehicles, we had a discussion here are few days ago where someone said releasing them back to him didn't mean anything, it just means they got what they needed and let him have them back.

I was watching a case on TV where a woman disappeared and they thought the husband did it. They confiscated his vehicles and kept them for 4 years. He went to court twice to get them back and LE stated they were part of an ongoing investigation and they were evidence and the judge wouldn't order them released back to him. So LE can and will keep vehicles in an open investigation case and not release them back.

Not allowed to mention our impressions of the video? I can't see how that's against TOS, am I missing it?

Not allowed to contradict or infer the mother is not telling the truth about something.
