I posted about the photo because I wondered if Dylan was use to riding that way,and if it was common for him to do that, then alot of people that may have seen him with MR, or someone he knew might of not seen him due to the fact that he was in the floor.

I don't know a single child that habitually rides in the floorboard. I know a few adults that are lax about letting about children ride in the front seat or fail to make them buckle up in the backseat but none that drive around with their children in the floorboard. If MR drives a single cab truck I would think it would be very uncomfortable if not impossible for Dylan to sit in the floor. His legs would have to end up on the driver's side.

The more I look at that picture I really wonder if Dylan wasn't "hiding" and/or pouting.

Considering the place I found the photo, and seeing this years Christmas photo, I believe that dog to be in ER home(and much larger now). As for letting kids do this, on trips I have often had children want to try it(all mine are huge so no work). Just saying if in a vehicle for an hour or so you might do something of the sort...but your right he would of ended up in the drivers seat side probably, if in his fathers truck.

although I think I remember seeing that his fathers truck was an extended cab.

Actually a child age 8-15 is required to wear a seatbealt in any area of a vehicle.....

http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellit...goBlobs&blobwhere=1251684400509&ssbinary=true

8 to 15 years Properly restrained in a
safety belt or child
restraint system
according to
manufacturer's
instructions
Section 42-4-236 (2)
(b), C.R.S.
* Any person operating a vehicle that does not have a rear seat may not transport a child who
is less than 8 years of age.

Also I believe the thing in the seat is a little black dog(Dylan's dog)

Whose to say that the vehicle is even moving at the time the pic was snapped?..just sayin..

IMO its neither here nor there and if the questions posed to call attention to the fact that there is some slight, random possibility that Dylan regularly rode in vehicles in this position in the floorboard..well..IMO *IF* that by some wild chance is his preferred riding position I'd say the chances are zero of this tiny child being seen by any passersby of the vehicle where Dylan's riding in the floorboard..

Lord have mercy do I wish THERE WAS SOME NEWS..ANY NEWS..ANY SMALL INFO OR DETAIL THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE TINY BREAK NEEDED THAT WILL LEAD TO DYLAN!.. Because to be really honest I am very well aware that this is quickly heading to slipping from the minds of the world around us..and well..we all know what that means.:(

Dylan right this very minute should be exactly where my 14yo son and so many many others are, on cloud nine playing and enjoying all of the many "toys" that boys his age love! he right now should be literally blowing up his brand new smartphone, texting, sending, pics/vids to all his new friends and his buds back in Bayfield of all the cool stuff they got today!!.Its EQUALLY heartbreaking AND DOWNRIGHT ANGERING THAT HES BEEN STRIPPED FROM THE LIVES OF THE SO VERY MANY THAT LOVE AND ADORE DYLAN THAT ARE SUFFERING TERRIBLY AT THIS TIME!!:furious:

Elaine didn’t need Mark’s “permission” to take Dylan away from him and I believe the Judge’s ruling on custody of Dylan was final so there was nothing Mark could do legally to overturn the Judge’s ruling. Mark was the loser in the custody battle and he was forced to accept the Judge’s decision even if he didn't agree with it. Mark’s parental rights didn’t mean much and he was powerless over Elaine in the custody battle.

If Mark was angry with Elaine and the Judge for stealing Dylan from him, obtaining unsupervised visitations with Dylan when his family was 6 hours away gave him a perfect opportunity to do to Elaine what was done to him - strip Elaine of her parental rights without her permission and make them utterly meaningless like his were.

Unsupervised visitations allowed Mark to commit and cover up a crime while appearing to be innocent of any wrong doing. Sadly I think what ER said about Mark was true, “If I can’t have him, no one will. Elaine has all the answers. My problem is my ex-wife!"

Because Dylan disappeared at the start of his second visit with his dad. I think Mark objected to the custody agreement and came up with a plan to take him away from Elaine to take away the power she legally had over him.

JMO - Merry Christmas Everyone!

IMO CR is a victim, I find it strange that people are sleuthing him and I don't recall the rules being changed here to allow sleuthing of CR.

I've just looked at that pic and it doesn't look like a wig to me. It looks like the rear end of a dog.

It's not sleuthing to post a link to a picture that is on a public FB page and speculate about the picture itself. This doesn't seem to break any rules, as far as I can see.
Whether it's a wig or not, I don't know. I was a licensed hairdresser and also sold wigs at one time. It looks like a wig to me. I don't see a dog's head, nor feet. If it's a dog, how does it get all 4 feet and head tucked under itself at the same time?

I'm not a violent or vengeful person but I hope that the person that took Dylan is so haunted by their actions that they are unable to eat, drink or function at all. May their guilt weigh on them so heavily that they realize the only escape is in answering for their crimes and allowing Dylan to be properly laid to rest.

Sadly, I think the responsible party is feeding off of Elaine's pain and lacks the ability to feel guilt or regret.

I'm not sure this is true. Maybe at first. But I don't think this was "on purpose", and I think the longer this goes on, the more it sinks in what this person has done. I suspect that whoever did this would love to go back and change it.

But what's done is done. It's time to come clean and begin again. Forgiveness is always an option for those who admit to their transgressions, no matter what they are. That's the whole point of Christmas.

I think this could be a grey area. Normally we would be allowed to discuss the picture (I think) but we aren't allowed to link to other people's FaceBook accounts just because they are related to the victim so I don't know which rule would apply here. The suggestion that the picture is recent is what I was referring to earlier though. I don't see how we could entertain that possibility without implicating a family member that is considered a victim thus not open for discussion or speculation (given the location of the picture).

I think the argument is that it is the dog's behind that is visible in the photo. I have no dog (behind or otherwise) in that fight though.

I did say it looked like the rear end of a dog. the whole dog is not in the pic so you can't see the head. tail or three of the legs. it looks to me as if there is one dogs leg in the pic, it looks like the rear right side hip is right next to Dylans elbow.

The week between Christmas and New Years is the slowest news week of the year. Everyone is just discussing "End of 2012" lists. If ER believes that national coverage would be beneficial, it would be a good idea to push for it now.

I hope you're right but I lean pretty heavily towards this being a premeditated crime orchestrated for the purpose of avoiding financial obligations and causing ER a great deal of pain. When (I refuse to consider "if") Dylan is found and the truth revealed I honestly believe it will be as simple as the perp hating Elaine more than they love Dylan. As a mother I pray that I am wrong because that would be a terrible burden for any mother to bear.

I'm not sure what this says about me but I can't imagine ever offering forgiveness to the person that took my child. I never knew Dylan but I don't think I could find it in my heart to forgive the person that took him. I think that the monster that took this precious child is broken beyond repair and undeserving of forgiveness or any other measure of comfort.

From the very start, I've always believed whatever occurred happened around that 8 PM timeframe. Dylan's texting his friend and his friend sensed something wasn't right, and Dylan agrees, And Dylan makes plans for the 6:30 am next day with his friend, from the Texting it appeared Dylan wanted to get away from there as early as Possibile, and texted he wanted to be there at 6:30, which meant the Dad would have had to wake up around 5:30 to get ready and drive Dylan, the dad is not like a 13 y/o just jumping out of bed and driving Dylan.

I believe Dylan wanted to get away quickly, and they were arguing while Dylan was texting, and after Dylan told the dad he made plans for arriving at 6:30 am at his friends, the dad was very upset, maybe because Dylan wanted to leave very early instead of spending time with the father, and this caused the dad to destroy Dylan's cell phone, that would explain the loss of communications with the cell and Tower, and also Dylan's texting did not seem to end correctly with his friend, seems like Dylan would have texted more concerning the arrival the next morning, and also he never said goodnight or any follow up text.

I believe the father destroyed the cell in a fit of Rage, and Dyan was striking back, and the father caused the Dissapeareance of Dylan, There's a large time frame from that Evening until the time Law Enforcement was notified, and the father had plenty of time to dispose of evidence before notifying them.
Dylan just arriving hours earlier and telling his dad he made plans to be at his friends house the following morning at 6:30 makes me think he wanted to get away from there as quickly as Possibile. I believe Dylan was not at the house the morning the father claims he awoke to run those four hour errands, and Dylan did not want to awake, like I stated they would have needed to awaken around 5:30am to arrive at his friends at 6:30 am, and I believe the father sticking with the 6:30 am time should have alerted law enforcement suspicions also. Law Enforcement knows whatever happend, was around the 8 PM time frame, and the cell phone losing communications with the tower, helps to show the father is lying. He has the answers to solving this Disappearance, and bringing closure.

Brilliant job! :) I'm right there with you.

Local Durango Herold ran a story about a registered sex offend in Aztec NM which is within reasonable distance to the the area Dylan could of been in, that shot and killed himself yesterday.

Many residents in the Aztec area travel to La Plata county area for shopping and local attractions.

also from article:

Sheriff’s officials say Boyd somehow managed to cut off his ankle monitor

--

I think the article implies that he only recently cut off his monitor. In order to be involved in Dylan's disappearance, he would have had to cut off his monitor over a month ago.....don't you hope LE would have notified the public of his escape???

I think it wasn't on that long read here.
