Other reports about BB, is that he was considered armed and dangerous, when he was on the run....must have had information that he had a gun from somewhere.

  • #922
Seems like whole pile of coincidences to have BB be the perp...
Dylan home alone when he should have been gone and did not even live there.
No phone service or at least no usage.
Along comes an RSO from another state and makes off with him without a trace?

Unless this guy is linked to the town where Dylan's father lives, I think it is a stretch.

Have we not learned from other crimes with children it's often coincidental? But hay what have you just another thing to look at I guess.

After watching the Christmas news story interview with Dylan's Mother, She commented about Dylan wanting a smart phone for Christmas so he could access his Facebook account without having to ask to get on the computer.

I'm wondering if the father had a computer, and if Dylan once arriving was able to log on and access his Facebook account that evening or night ? and if Dylan was using the computer, what time frame were they able to confirm.
if he didn't log on to his account that night, was it because the Father didn't have a computer ? or he never allowed Dylan or others to use the Internet ?

And Thank You for the positive comments to my post yesterday, I've been praying daily since viewing the Nancy Grace show concerning Dylan's Disappearance that he's safe and located quickly.

VLP starts by saying she's so frustrated....

And then SM's post is in response

Redux, there are some interesting comments about CJH following this article and video here: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/02/10/50-people-in-50-days-searching-for-a-9-year-old-boy/

It's also interesting to note the dates after the comments!

I had noticed that! An interesting sidenote to that story - a boy was found wandering mountain roads not far away from where CJH was taken several weeks after CJH went missing. He was beaten and couldn't tell authorities his name. At first CJH's parents thought it could be their son (but he was beaten so badly they couldn't tell). Later tests proved that it wasn't him. IDK if they ever identified that other boy.

Sorry, don't mean to go too off topic on DR's thread. Just another interesting case. Wish I could find more information on CJH.

Somebody frustrated with no answers and somebody mentioned about here and about 1 poster from here and people should check it out and take on board what she has said.

Thank you - I wasn't sure if it was okay to mention another WS member. I didn't want to break any TOS...

Still here, I can't see the point of posting whilst people are ignoring basics such as the no phone activity from sunday night and no contact with anyone since then.

BBM~~~

Agree. Dylan's texting with RN was essentially cut off mid-text conversation.

Someone is speculating about what happened that night...where did they drive to...did they leave state?

Why didn't the police do more at the beginning?

What is MR doing to bring back Dylan now? Is he back at work?

  • #934
When did LE find out about Dylan's phone use stopping? That is when the search of the house and cars should have happened, if not sooner.

Yep and that makes you look no further than MR IMO

Maybe MR threw a strop when he realized that Dylan wanted to dropped off at 6:30am and that meant leaving at about 6am and also Dylan making plans that did not involve him once again . MOO

If the battery ran out then why did not Dylan not mention that to RN or charge it when it got home if thats the reason he stopped texting at that point ?

If it broke then Dylan I am positive would of said something to MR a he had about a 35/40 truck ride home . And how many kids sit in a car for any length of time and do not text in today's day and age ??????

ER has a new post up on the Facebook page if it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Thanks. I like what ER wrote and the way she used the phrase "person who lost you".

I can only hope her recent 9news interview and FB posting 2 or 3 days in a row is a sign of a more public profile for her and Dylan. I know the Colorado Springs reporter was also trying to interview her but I've seen nothing on KRDO just yet.

I'd still like to know whether the McDonald's visit has been verified or not. We know Walmart and the errands Mark ran on Monday have been verified but I don't believe McDonald's has.

There's also the question of whether dogs followed Dylan's scent from Mark's door or not. Surely, after Elaine provided scent items, dogs were taken to Mark's and asked to follow his scent. Dogs aren't perfect but it would be very interesting to know what they did or didn't do (not that I expect LE to tell us this but it may come out eventually).

I just wish that LE had done a proper job and had done DNA testing the first few days .

The bowl , the bed sheets , tv remote for finger prints and so on should of been done straight away IMO

It would of made things different in this case if this had happened IMO

BBM: there were bed sheets? I've read repeatedly that he slept on the couch and there was a blanket, but have never read/heard that he had a bed (or sheets) at his Dad's house. Did I miss it somewhere?

I do wonder if DNA or fingerprints would've helped at least determine if he was there that Sunday night. Those things would be at the house, and especially if his Dad travels for work a lot I can see how they might still be there from Dylan's Labor Day weekend trip. I wish we knew more.

It happened 28 years ago in roughly the same area as where Dylan went missing. 14 year old boy went out to walk his dog and never came home. No trace of him. No one saw anything. Never been found.

Of course that long ago there were probably even less houses in that area than there are now so less people to see anything (though also more likely that a stranger to the area would stick out). But my point is it does happen in America, sad to say.

His name was Christopher James Harvey. It's been classified as a nonfamily abduction. He took his dog for a walk, the dog came back but he didn't. There's not a lot of info out there that I could find on it, but I did read one article that said that though they couldn't 100% rule out that he had just gone hiking and gotten lost, they didn't think it likely (for some reason that I can't recall ATM). I'll post a link in a bit - heading home in a snowstorm right now.

Description of the Harvey abduction also includes note about another teenager found walking on a road six weeks after Harvey was abducted. This boy had been severely beaten but I couldn't find any more details about him.

Thanks for bringing up this old case on Christopher Harvey.

Checking on the map for Colorado, I found
Dylan disappeared 11-19-12 in Vallecito which is in La Plata County,
Christopher disappeared 7-11-84 near Pagosa Springs which is in Hinsdale County (the next county over)
and the beaten boy was found in Eagle County 1984 (three counties up).
All three counties are on the western side of the San Juan National Forest.

Now, I'm wondering if there could be a connection between these three cases and if there have been other teenage boys reported missing over the years?

BTW, here is a link to a one post thread on Christopher located here on WS under Missing Children in America - A Profile.
