Sorry do you mean it just completely died or the battery ran out ? .

Oh, I have no idea what happened to Dylan's phone. My own phone will completely die out if I don't keep a careful eye on it and recharge it, even in the car when I'm driving. I really need to get a new one LOL.

She claims otherwise:

AND NO - I don't know any inside information - these men and women are professionals and Dylan's family will be the first to know when LE knows anything !!!!

I think the chances of Dylan being hidden by a family member are slim to none.
His family members are accounted for. No one is missing. MR is in the public eye. How could he possibly hide anyone?

this is something I've considered and haven't fully discounted, except not a family member.

Maybe MR has a girlfriend (I saw a comment somewhere on the web about him having a girlfriend in New Mexico) or friends who would hide Dylan, maybe they have been spun a tale of being hard done by in divorce and court, that its for Dylans protection etc etc

do we have any ideas about where MR drove for work?

all9ofus how accessible is lake nighthorse? I believe it isn't open to the public as yet, but could someone access the area easily, how 'private' is it?

also are there any community members supporting MR?

But when you do plug it in, it charges, correct? We know that D had his charger, so if his battery died, he still could have charged it up.

But can you see the phone not working and him not telling his father? I think he would be frantic.

I can see this happening, if Dylan was not aware that the phone stopped working until morning and Dad was already gone. Just based on my own experiences, I can find plausible explanations for just about everything except that Dylan is gone. I don't know... I tend to lean towards a scenario that Dylan either forgot to put his phone on the charger and woke up and plugged it in and then after eating his cereal, got impatient because either it wouldn't charge or he couldn't get a signal to call out. So he threw everything in the backpack and headed out, maybe intending to call when he picked up a signal?

Again - there are a lot of coincidences to this theory so I waver. I'm just not sure. The RSO that was so close really bothers me. I want LE to search his house and car. And the possibility that Dad got mad really bothers me....

All9ofus do you think it would be something to consider people in the NM area, say in the Aztec,Farmington areas? Also would like for you to share how often the local people of the area visit these places? Is it common for people in that area to also work in the NM area. Many have discounted the fact that Dylan could of ended up in NM for what ever reason. How many of the companies in that area are based out of NM...for instance the oil field, and other jobs. I am trying to help people to understand that area.

In the Swalls case, there wasn't, I guess. Mr. Swalls said he had a heck of a time getting anything out of LE. I read an interview he did with some crime blog where he says several times they didn't tell him what they were doing, what they thought. They never explained to him why they searched the retention pond the first time, then were able to find him at that same pond days later, or how long he had been there, how long he'd been dead when they found him. Nothing. Like I said, it's been a couple of weeks, but last I knew, the family was still waiting for a COD.

Thank you as I was not sure . It's sometimes difficult to understand as the u,k does some things differently I guess .

It was only 8pm...I do not believe he was finished with his phone for the night. If it stopped working, he would have noticed, IMO, and told his father.

With LE being so closed off about discussing this, how do we not know that MR didn't tell LE that DR said his phone wasn't working or needed to be charged? LE isn't telling us anything other than its last use was at what 8something the night he arrived.

Hmm - I still do not buy the battery dying .

His phone was old and was not a smart phone so most of them phone's could last 24/48 hours without a charge because you do not have anything to drain the battery ( like 3G which kills battery life )

So he did not have the internet on it and it would seem it was used to phone and text ( maybe a few games ).

So mum you would hazard a guess charged the phone before he left home. On the flight all phones remain switched off .

So how long could his phone of been on for it to die that night ???

Well, MR said he was texting Dylan all afternoon on Monday...

I would say it is very common for locals to travel to NM. Other than Walmart, there are none of the big box stores in Durango but there are in Farmington. There are also several chain restaurants like Olive Garden inFarmington that are frequented by locals. One of the largest regional employers is in Farmington and most if not all of the gas and oil companies are in NM.

I still think there are other things other than MR on the table here....Not going to take him out of the theories either. Sicko he might of ran into, a sicko that came to the house. As well as being held against his will by someone close to the family, or family its self.

So given this, I would say that there could and would be people from the Aztec, Farmington, Bloomfield, and many other areas in NM in the area of Bayfield? Maybe friends from work, or church or what have you, or they may even work in the area. This means a larger amount of things to look at, not including others that would of been in the area for the up and coming Thanksgiving holiday season.

RSBMM: MR said he left at 7:30 am and tried again. He did not state what time he originally tried to roust Dylan. That may have been an hour or two before. What I see happening is he gets up and tries to wake Dylan up. Dylan ain't havin it. Mark showers and gets ready for his day, waiting for Dylan to get up. Once he's ready to leave at 7:30 he tries to wake Dylan up again to tell him he's leaving and that he'll have to wait til he comes back. From all the links, that's the way I took it. I never took it that he woke him up at 7:29 am, then tried to wake him up at 7:30 am and then left.

If Dylan expected his father to drive him to RN's by 6:30 am, Mark would have tried to get Dylan up at 5:30 am but in this article Mark specifically said he tried to wake Dylan around 7:30 am so my take on this is that Mark wasn't getting Dylan up on time to drive him to RN's by 6:30 am.

snipped

Mark said he tried to wake his son the next morning around 7:30 before leaving to run errands, but Dylan was fast asleep.

My hubby has a flip phone and he has to charge it every day if he leaves it on. That's without doing any texting or phone calls. If he does either of those, he has to charge it sooner. It doesn't hold a charge for very long at all.

But if LE believe Dylan is out of the near vacenty then why no pleas for help to get the message out far and wide ?

It seems all the searching has been local and they are not saying anything to get other city's on the look out , are they ??

We have a flip phone, pay as you go, and I only take it when I go on trips, but without using it I still have to have it charged everyday or it will die in the night.
