there are so many things unanswered...my kids are lazy and I don't care how bad they wanted to text they wouldn't go get the charger when it's freezing out....period.

MR attorney of record is in Cortez, CO. NOT Durango/Bayfield area.
Do you have a link? And also are you saying he went to Cortez that morning instead of Durango? Or that he went to a different lawyer that morning?

I have a quick question and mods please remove if inappropriate. Does anyone know why admin for the FMDR page (DH, I think) uses an alias of Katt something on that page? Probably totally unrelated but odd to me nonetheless.

DH and Katt are two different people.

Thank you that helps with filling in why it took him so long to get to home.

Seems MR may have had a few different attorneys during the course of his divorce proceedings.

I have ATT. I couldn't text nor receive/send calls while in Vallecito on Dec. 8th. One peep I was with (during the search) had Verizon. NOTHING worked up there. We tried on CR500 right in front of MR house. Zip, nada, nothing worked. The calls/texts did come in later as we got to lower elevation coming into Durango where the Search Hdqtrs was located.

yet we have heard that text messages generally went through and IIRC at least one person said they did have service outside of MRs house

IMO sometimes the difference is the type of phone being used.

Yep , has Elaine not come out and said that Dylan did not normally have issues there with texting ?

Thanks that makes sense. The other fb page said it was her alias and I thought that was very odd. There appears to be at least one other admin on the FMDR page as well.

I tend to give the benefit of the doubt to the parents whenever I can. I would like to believe that MR had changed and wanted to be a better father to DR and was trying to be.

I asked awhile back about the Walmart picture because the way DR is wearing his hat in both pictures looks just way too similar that I wondered if it is stated that the one picture is in fact from Walmart.

As for the fishing pole...I think he noticed it missing because it was located by the front door on the porch. Not because he just bought it or to steer the investigation. I think it will turn out to have nothing to do with the investigation.

A couple months ago my Blackberry battery was low and then died soon after without being used even. I plugged it in to charge and came back to use it a couple hrs later and it was still dead. The next day it was still dead, never did charge. I never had a problem with the phone or battery and they weren't even very old. just sayin...

The only place I "heard" that was on FB = Rumor.:seeya:

But everything was in his bag, why would he take the charger out of his bag in the car , he needs a plug socket so why would not of done this ?

And sorry if i misunderstood and you mean the bag was in the car then why has the bag vanished along with Dylan ?

The initials of the admin for the Find Dylan facebook page is DH, nickname Katt.

Which is why I think it got broken in a fit of rage IMO .

I think the fishing pole was also broken and that's why it was said to be with Dylan.

Thanks Ransom, I've brought this up a couple of times. Some of these are 2nd homes to people, not their primary residence. Some of them rent them out for holidays, like Thanksgiving. So there could be people there that aren't usually there. If an SO was someone who rented up there and saw an opportunity, well, there you are. No one keeps tabs on their comings and goings, do they?

Do you think LE would contact the owners and find out if they had their homes rented on November 18 and 19th? And if so, contact the renters?

I would hope so. :what::what:

Good question...and I was referring to maybe the bag was in the car. But yet again...I lean in every direction to find an answer...so just another question I have no answer too. Just throwing around something that might be possiable.

Oh and something not even related to this is that there is a National Forest between Durango and Cortez.

We do not know for a fact that MR went into a rage that Sunday night. I see it referenced a lot, but never once has it been confirmed by MSM that he went into a fit, rage or display any type of anger. That is speculation.

Thats right its speculation!
We do not know that he didnt either do we?

Your post reminded me of the time hubby and I took our grandkids to Sequoia National Park. We lost our transmission on the way up and sat at the side of the road for 4 hours. We had cell phones and could get no reception. People stopped and tried their phones and got no reception. One couple drove down the mountain about 5 miles to try to get reception for us and couldn't. They came back and told us. Finally, a ranger showed up because that couple got out of Sequoia National Park and called the ranger station to report us stranded.

We've been back to Sequoia 2 times since then and still can't get reception, send texts, make calls or get satellite up there.

Last week on Christmas Day my daughter called as we were heading into the mountains and I lost her. Until I got up to my parents, 45 minutes later, I could not return her call.

If Vallecito is as remote as these places, I can see how easily it is to NOT get reception or satellite for phone, texts or Words With Friends.

Isn't Cortez about 1:45 minutes or more from where Mark lives....that means he spent most of his time driving from 730 -1130 am...

They confirmed where he was but they did not say whether it was by appointment, as far as I know.

Actually they did. He had an appointment.
