Do you think LE would contact the owners and find out if they had their homes rented on November 18 and 19th? And if so, contact the renters?

I would hope so. :what::what:

I really don't know. This was not a great season in Co/NM because of the fires all summer/fall. No snow for T'day when Ski Durango (Purgatory) would normally open. Really warm weather didn't help for rentals.

Isn't Cortez about 1:45 minutes or more from where Mark lives....that means he spent most of his time driving from 730 -1130 am...

:waitasec::waitasec:

Yep.......

So MR drove all the way to Cortez on that Monday? I could have sworn I read, more than once, that his errands were in Durango???

The only place I "heard" that was on FB = Rumor.:seeya:

the first part of my comment wasn't from facebook

REDWINE: You know, there is bad cell reception, but texts always seemed to come through. So while you can`t necessarily speak with someone on the phone...

the second part is only rumour which is the same as anecdotal evidence as is your experience IMO

With LE being so closed off about discussing this, how do we not know that MR didn't tell LE that DR said his phone wasn't working or needed to be charged? LE isn't telling us anything other than its last use was at what 8something the night he arrived.

Ok, LE isn't telling us anything and MR could have told LE that the phone stopped working. So, why hasn't MR ever mentioned it to anyone? He remembered the fishing pole, the cereal bowl, the tv station, but forgot the one thing everyone was questioning? IMO he didn't say anything about the phone because he couldn't come up with an answer that was plausable.

there are so many things unanswered...my kids are lazy and I don't care how bad they wanted to text they wouldn't go get the charger when it's freezing out....period.

The cell charger is my childs umbilical cord!

Did any "reporter" type ask him that? Rhetorical question since none of us would know.

But MR said he was trying to text him all day monday!
that means MR did not know of any problem with phone

I can't remember exactly, but the weather during those days and nights were unseasonably warm in Colorado. Definitely not so cold that Dylan wouldn't grab a phone or charger IF they fell in MR's truck.

Night all. Kids back home. Off to feed my motley crew.

He also had to go to Durango to his workplace. As I said, police have accounted for his whereabouts on Monday morning.

Hi Azgrandma,
Just wanted to say have a Happy New Year, and to respond to this, that LE didn't say, but it did turn out the MR did say he tried to text DR, so my questioning the part about the phone still null and void...Still no answer to it.

From what i have read he has 2 lawyers!

MR attorney of record is in Cortez, CO. NOT Durango/Bayfield area.

I wonder if they've searched along that route.

Thank you as I know the U,S is behind us in mobile technology. .

But even so if he had a 5 hour plane journey then the phone was off during that time .

And how many texts did he send that evening , I think 3 or 4 ? and that's not going to drain the battery than soon .

Even if the battery lasted 12 hours then then the phone was off for his entire flight .

The plane ride wasn't 5 hours, I live in AZ and can be in San Diego in 1 1/2 hrs, even with the early arrival and getting off the plane it would be about 2 1/2 hrs tops.

True but we do not know where he was after he got home I don't think . He texted some of that time but if he was alone how can anybody prove what he was up to in that time ?

He once again had a lot of unaccounted time where he could of been up to anything .

IMO

They did make a comment about him talking with a lawyer before after this all started, but when he made statements to the police, it was said that he did not have a lawyer.
