From your lips (fingers) to whatever deity's ears. As a mother, I'm so done with seeing Elaine suffer. I want a picture of her hugging her baby after he is found safely on the front page of every newspaper tomorrow.

OH boy, your post gave me a tear. ER hugging him on every front page. Let it be ! :)

I am still not sure if the fishing pole is not a red herring. Send LE in the completely wrong direction toward the lake x

MOO

There is no fishing pole imho.

I would of thought that Dylan's dad would of called him on his way home to make sure Dylan was awake and ready to go , no ?

Just from personal experience if you left me in bed there was no guarantee I would be awake and ready to go when my mum got home to fetch me .

Thats what I would do also! Call and say im on my way get your butt up and get moving!

But did MR I think not!
I dont think hes had enuff experience to be a dad.

And I dont think dylan was there to call anyway!
the calls as I see it were made after he established his alibi for the morning because this is his story( He went missing when he did his errands )
Next he has to make it look like he wondering where he is without actually going looking....

If you son is gone from the house when you arrive home and he is not old enuff to drive and he left you no note....Dont you WONDER what the He&& happend to him? Why wait till 4pm to go looking?

You dont!
I dont buy into MR's story!

My husband likes to fish. We have a lot of fishing poles. I do not think he would be able to tell if a specific one was missing.

In this case I think the pole is either a red herring to point LE in the wrong direction or he put it with D as a possible explanation/excuse for when D is found. Not sure which but I'm almost certain it is one of the two. All JMOO.

Eileen730 something does not add up x

I could be wrong but MR does not strike me as a patient man so I can not see him arriving home and Dylan is gone and him just being happy about it .

If he makes plans I can see him expecting people to keep them as it would disrespectful not to .

So them texts to Dylan would be intriging to see .

IMO

well i still question why LE would allow a minor's texts to be published and not MR's. unless they don't exist and he simply told them he texted dylan that afternoon but in fact did not. or subsequently also told them he deleted 'the texts'.

if they existed, LE should have gone ahead and shared them with MSM just as they did RN's. IMO. JMO. MOO.

How do we know LE let them texts be published ?

If Ryan and his family agreed to a interview with the press then I do not see how LE could stop them being published as they belong to RN I would of thought ?

Correct. No water goes over the dam.

If the bottom gates are open, I would think they could be closed for a few days for divers/underwater cameras/sonar to determine if anything is near the upstream side of the dam. It's storage season. Plus it's a huge BuRec dam. Doesn't BuRec have massive underwater cameras to inspect their dams?

I wish LE would let us know if they conclusively felt the divers and sonar fish finder would have discovered anything put in the lake from County Road 501 on top of the dam.

fair point...i don't disagree but, i would certainly hope LE got to RN's phone before 9 news did. regardless, the texts were shared. whether or not LE chose to release it to MSM or RN's family gave permission to the network, i have to question why MR's were not.

are they incriminating...did he deny access...or do they exist at all?

My husband has fishing poles some looking exactly the same to me but he can tell which one is missing and then come asking me where it is, saying something like where is my pole like this that has the scratch on the end. Or the other one I bought like this that is a bit lighter then this one. I laugh saying well how do you know that the one you have is the darker of the 2. Of course once he remembers where he put it, it is the lighter of the 2 that was out of place. I always tell him just tell me to hunt for a fishing pole that is not in the right spot.
Though I do agree I think either that pole has been missing or placed with DR as an excuse.

I still live in the teeny tiny town I was born & raised in and can get lost on Main Street. I'm directionally challenged. Ok, I'm hopeless (my husband spends half his time saying "your other right, Rhon"). MapQuest is evil. Just plain evil!

About 8 yrs ago after moving to TX my husband asked me if I remember where a store was. I said yeah sure telling him it was near the bridge that went like this (made a curve looking thing like this ) with my hand). He just shook his head at me. Apparently there are many bridges in Dallas that look like this ), which I know now. He still messes with me about it till this day. Whenever we drive by or on a bridge that curves he makes fun of me. Just before Christmas I asked another parent who was waiting for his kids if he knew of a good area to see Christmas lights. He said sure and tried to remember the street, he even called his wife who couldn't think of the st either. His little girl said daddy its by that fence that looks like Princess towers. I knew actually where she was talking about. He just shook his head at me laughing.

Speaking of the lake, a couple of weeks back there was a report OR the eyewitness of a local who said that helicopters were up looking around the area. Do we know if any more activity like that has happened? It would be nice to know that once a week they go up and look , even with nothing new to go on .

Lets go back to the beginning!
Dylan arrives and mom send him a text he responds with a sad face.
Then dad delays his visit with friends and Dylan is even more unhappy now.

I know how my teen would have reacted and its not a pretty picture.
Hissy fit maybe sulking rolling the eyes !!!!! Back talk possibly!

How would MR deal with this kind of reaction from his son?

Its obviously not all fun and games at Walmart so it seems!
Dylan looks very unhappy not bored forlorned is a word id use!

One question I'd like to ask azgrandma is: Did MR ever cry or sob with tears?

Ya know we cant go back in time and undo what has been done.
But I am a firm believe in what goes around comes around!
One day it all comes back to bite you in the butt!

Karma is a B!

I agree Eileen730. Also, I imagine the visit was stressful for MR as well as Dylan. If MR was a drinking man (as has been suggested) did he have a few to quell his nerves before Dylan arrived?

I just don't know about this. On the one hand I can see Dylan taking off and running into trouble that way. On the other, I can see a stressful visit fueled by arguing, hurt feelings and possibly drink.

oops I Was responding to this. Forgot to quote:

I am thinking alcohol is involved, either way.
Sometimes a dad or uncle or older brother wants to be ' cool' and let
a minor drink. No one would know, it's just us two,, don't tell your mom
kind of thing. Its' pretty common. Maybe dad gave son a drink or two
and something horrible happened, totally accidental and now MR is in
a big quandary . Food for thought.

I think he would be very anxious to get to his friends house and would be waiting for his father to get home.
