We are not a gun kind of family!
We did Archery and paint ball till that got old once the kids became teens they didnt want to be around us alot lol they wanted to be with their FRIENDS.

But going out to dinner and then a good movie is just as good as sitting at the table every sunday night for dinner and a good discussion!

Kind of like 13 yo DR.

I think it maybe have been on NG, but Elaine said to the effect that MR hasn't been interested in seeing Dylan for the last several years. So the visitation thing was rather new. So it doesn't ring true to me that it is just because she moved recently.

Wouldn't an innocent person say the very same thing?

No i dont think so. At the end of the day LE are trying to find your son. So why come out to the general public and say " well i would of thought they would of done it a week earlier so i think they are already a week behind"

**I can not remember the exact quote but it was something like that**

I just do not see why you are publicly bashing LE when they are trying to find your son .

If you have a issue then speak to them and not the world.

IMHO

How do we know what their relationship was like when they were together? We have someone saying he didn't want to go to his dads, but was that because he didn't want to see his dad or because he didn't want to leave his ailing grandmother? Or perhaps he didn't want to hurt his mom's feelings.

I dont think he wanted to go!
Look at that kids face in Walmart!
Does he look happy to be with Dad?

I think Dylan’s disappearance was premeditated.

We know MR had visitation rights before Elaine was awarded primary custody and I don’t understand why visits with MR weren’t granted when Elaine was awarded primary custody of Dylan. Surely ER wasn’t awarded primary custody of Dylan without the Judge giving Mark a set number of visits for at least a year.

We know Dylan visited his father for ½ week in September and we don’t know if the visit was court-ordered or if Elaine had been awarded primary custody before this visit took place. If the visit in September wasn't CO, why did Mark go to court and ask the Judge to only approve one more visit with Dylan in November?
Dylan’s visit with his father in November was to last twice as long as his visit in September but it ended up being shorter and because Dylan disappeared at
the start of the 2nd visit, it ended as abruptly as Dylan’s cell phone activity did on Sunday evening imo.

Premeditation is the other scenario I have mentioned that could also make sense. Like I stated in an earlier post, logic tells me it was either premeditation or a rage that spun out of control. I can see it either way, but stranger abduction just doesn't fit realistically IMO.

Although I didn't read anything at all into the previous interview, I saw a smugness, attitude to the point of almost mocking LE in that clip. He could afford it, if he was thinking, the OJ, milk, cereal is gone, I have used the remote many times, washed the sheets, vacuumed. You won't find anything type thing... Anyway, that is the only thing I saw that struck me as odd. JMO.

Well does Dylan's actions sound like he was happy to be there?

1) He lands and texts home with a scowl face
2) He on his first night there had plans with friends ( yes his trip was delayed by a day but he could of cancelled if he wished to , he chose not to)
3) He then makes plans as soon as humanly possible with the friend he cancelled with at 6.30a,m .
4) He is not exactly jumping for joy in the Walmart picture released !

None of these paint a picture of Dylan being happy .

IMHO .

My impression was the only reason Dylan was reluctant to go to his Dad's was because someone in the family was sick? G-ma or something like that.

As for the pic in Walmart, he looks like a pretty normal 13 year old to me.

The pic's not that great anyhow.

What does a scowl face look like?

I get a parent being frustrated with LE after a period if time if they feel they aren't doing enough to find their child but MR started passive aggressively criticizing LE almost from the start. They didn't search the lake soon enough to suit him. Then they wasted time searching his house. Why go there? These are the people searching for your child and you start by saying they are doing it all wrong?

http://www.wltx.com/rss/article/206624/142/Murdered-Girls-Parents-Question-Police-Search-Response-Time
Just a day after two teenage brothers were charged with killing a 12-year-old girl, whose body was found dumped in a recycling bin, her parents are questioning authorities' response, calling it slow, according to reports.

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/crime/blog/2011/01/mother_of_missing_girl_critici.html
The mother of missing Phylicia Barnes is criticizing the response since the initial call for help to police in Baltimore. Janice Sallis told CNN said pleas for help during the first 48 hours of the case were ignored, though she wouldn't say who was to blame. She made the remarks during an interview with the network news program, which were also reported in a story in the girl's hometown newspaper...

Parents whose children are missing or dead lash out at LE if they feel that they didn't act right away. I don't blame them.

IIRC, the sick grandma was said by someone that showed up here randomly and never stuck around to be verified, answer questions or post again.

I think any parent with a missing child would be frustrated with LE and I think LE epects that as well. Even if LE is doing all they can do if your child is still missing you are going to question them, imo.

ETA... I also think its normal for Dylan's Mom to blame the Dad when it was the Dad who had him when he went missing.

I get why you would question them , i just do not get in when you go public with them questions before trying to talk to them first.

Has Elaine be critical at all , do we know ?

He looks upset to me.
