Wouldn't leaving him out to fen for himself in the wilderness be a crime? I would sure think so! And then if the commission of that crime led to or caused his death, then what would that additional crime be called?

Well YES I'm sure it is a crime. But in his own mind he may not view it as such.
I have friends whose dad, a heavy drinker, often pulled over on the highway and told them to get out of the car if they were arguing with him or each other and he was tired of hearing it. He would come back for them in half an hour or so. I'm sure that was a crime. But he didn't even INTEND for them to die. They were teens and if something had happened to them when they were walking on the highway it would surely be his fault, negligence or something. But I don't know that it would be murder, more like negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter or something.

Yep. And he didn't say anything at all to media until the Tuesday following Dylan being disappeared. I can find the link if you need it.

So perhaps the first words he spoke was to complain.

Has he made a single statement where he wasn't criticizing LE or ER? Seems that he has a rather irrational need to deflect blame. MOO.

Are children closer to parents in the U,K then ??? ( A genuine question as i have never come across this in my circle of friends ) and i had a lot friends with divorced parents .

You always looked forward to going to see the parent you did not live with as you got spoilt rotten and they made a huge fuss over you and it was fun .

My kids don't have a split home, but they (even the teens) still choose hanging out with us parental folks over their friends quite often. Today is the first day of the holiday vacation 2 of 3 have chosen to be with friends- despite invitations all along.

I think it just depends on the family and the family culture and the quality/depth of their friendships. And personality- we're all introverts- so sometimes home life is just more nurturing than social life.

Hey WR, how are you??

LE didn't publish RN's texts to Dylan, a reporter did. So that really doesn't mean anything one way or the other as far as MR's texts to Dylan are concerned. IMO

hi back at ya seajay. :D

i understand what everyone's saying, but my point remains the same...LE has RN's texts, MSM published them from whatever source (LE themselves or RN's family).

i'd like to see the same for MR. kwim?

I've known mothers who threatened to do the same thing, and I've heard of some who did, but that doesn't mean that ER has ever done it. Likewise, I don't think the fact that some other father somewhere may have done it means that MR did. Believe it or not, I know a lot of fathers who have never driven drunk, and who have never left one of their children alone on the side of the road. MOO

so basically, he didn't say diddly squat for a week...not to reporters, not to ER or CR either.

ER didn't talk to the press until Friday.

I said in my first comment about it that even I thought it pretty unlikely. I'm just offering another scenario to the loads we've already presented. Every scenario seems unlikely at this point because there is no evidence pointing to anything, so whenever we do find out what happened ( if we do :( ) I bet we are like WOW that is so unlikely/coincidental etc.
I thought this scenario would explain why no 'crime scene' per se, no evidence in the truck or at home of any foul play happening.

It's walmart. Next time you're in walmart with your own loved on... wait until a moment when nothing is happening. Not looking at a funny sign, not asking a question. Take a glance at your loved one. We all look like that. It's indifference, and it's not indicative of anything IMO.

It doesn't mean your loved one doesn't like you, I promise.

Right, that was the article I was referring too. I guess I need to get new glasses....I quickly glanced at the updated/revised date and thought I saw 11/28...but it is 11/26 meaning they spoke to him Sunday and undated the article early morning the 26th.

Thanks!

You are welcome, always glad to help out! :)

The texts between Dylan and Ryan were provided to MSM by Ryan and his family. LE had nothing to do with that. Now if MR wanted to provide his texts to Dylan to the media I'm sure they would be more than happy to publish those too. It's not a matter of LE allowing it or not.

You're right to keep considering options. Every option is rather unlikely or non-typical at this point. The "obvious" things have been ruled out- that's why LE doesn't have a solid direction.

But its not just the for me. Its the whole not wanting to spend time with MR that night and then making plans for 6:30am .

So i take them 2 things and the scowl to mum and then add in Walmart and IMO Dylan was not happy that night.

IMHO.
