that would be easy enough to identify - someone who left work suddenly that day from a place MR did errands?

But it could just as easily have been another customer in line with him at the bank, grocery store, post office ...

I've never seen anyone ruled out as quickly as Jessica's family was. I can't see them allowing anyone to be suspected by friends, neighbors, etc. if LE was absolutely sure they were innocent, not even to make someone else feel more secure. Maybe they would, but I'd be very surprised. MOO

Thanks. I thought I had just missed seeing it and was considering going back to look for it. All I've ever heard about him is that he was involved in a search and at a prayer vigil. I'm sure he's done more, but that's all I remember reading.

BBM

The only other instance that comes to mind for me is in Sierra Lamar's case. They cleared her family very quickly and publicly and very adamantly. And it was weird because her father had done time for child molestation, so of course all eyes were on him. But LE said he was innocent and had no involvement whatsoever. And that was within the first week IIRC.

it was NG. ER said MR took one and it was inconclusive. so, her word.

No, we're not talking about MR. We know he took the polygraph. This is MH, or DR's soon-to-be step-father.

But it would have to be someone who knew him and knew where he lived. I wonder if LE asked him about any acquaintances he may have bumped into that morning.

I remember that being mentioned by a reporter but I don't think we ever found out if it was Dylan's bike, if it was "working" or even if it was size appropriate for Dylan.
I'll look for the article- I remember the bike expert convo now...seems like forever ago. Ok- while I look, if it is not Dylan's bike, whose is it? MR does not strike me as the type to ride a bike- especially since he has been gone away working- but what do I know?

Sorry, I believe I am wrong. I can't find any report of MH taking a polygraph.

Paul, I think I read way back from someone (not LE) that soon to be stepdad had also taken a poly.

If it was his and in working order, you would think he would have taken it if he did decide to leave MR home that morning to go to his friend's house.

It could have been something as simple as stopping for gas and just complaining about getting up so early to drop Dylan off and then having him decide to just sleep in. I doubt that most of us would think that a neighbor, friend, or even casual acquaintance would go to our house and grab a child just because they know one is there alone. Possibly an attendant getting off soon, or another customer waiting to pay. It's possible that either one might know where he lived if they also were from that area. MOO

Omg, I had forgot about the bike expert. I have no idea who the bike belongs too. I agree that Dylan is the most likely owner but IIRC we never got any info on the bike other than the fact that one exists.

So now since we don't have any proof, I wonder IF MH did take a poly like the rest of the clan did.

if it wasn't there for Dylan's use, then what the heck???

That's a good point about it having to be someone that knew who MR was and/or where he lived. I guess that scenario isn't as straight forward as I suggested.

Not that it matters because I can't get past the sudden and complete silence at 8pm.

No, no, no! I am not saying that. I'm just saying that all we know is that the bike exists. No info on if it was Dylan's, if it was Dylan's was it one he had outgrown (or not grown into) or was it in riding condition.
