Except as we've seen from countless other missing persons situations, tunnel vision towards the wrong person can make a case go cold quicker than anything. We're now at 22 threads and going on 2 months with exactly zilch. <modsnip>

To be fair we did not make this case cold , LE have done that all by themselves IMHO.

  • #482
Well I can only say if LE pulled her over it would have been offical.what was who on? I think his son was protecting his mother and younger brother. but that my opinion on that entire fiasco.

LOL IM not being defensive and yes there are alot more facts we dont know.

I think all of this crapola in this family has led us here to where we are today!

I think the judge's ruling makes it official. And I will agree with bolded above, but by the ame token we can only sleuth MR. jmo

Oh gosh! Could MR have been questioned about something Dylan told the judge?
I recall AZG saying her boys told mr they didn't want him in their lives anymore when they were children. I wonder why and if something was in common with what Dylan told the judge.

I know I'm way behind here, but I'm curious how MR reacted when AZG's sons said that to him. Did she fear for their safety at that time?

Because we are trying to say that him having a blanket silence is not normal behavior here.

I text all the time, email, facebook, call and now my new addiction WS from my phone. In between all that I try to get things done. I am not sure what "normal" is for me because each day is different and sometimes I just don't want to respond, other times I read it and forget to respond. But all my friends will tell you that I'm always on the phone. I guess it's their perception.

I dont really know what to believe. She said he was an avid texter whatever that means to her. But she also said he wasnt the outdoorsy type yet we have seen Dylan's photos playing sports.....playing in the creek...and his friends says he hitchhikes.:waitasec:

imo

I feel that people have been unfairly beating ER over the head with that statement. That statement, imo, was never meant to imply that Dylan did not like to play sports or to swim in the lake with his friends. I bet ER was the one cheering in the stands and picking him up from the lake.

That particular statement has to be viewed IN CONTEXT. She was specifically referring to the suggestion made by MR that LE should be dragging the lake because he told them from day one about the missing fishing pole. :what:

ER was saying that her son was not the type of 'outdoorsy' kid that would go off alone on a long hike to fish in a remote place, all by himself, especially when he had good friends waiting to hang out with him.

And I believe those videos support ER's statement. We see Dylan WITH HIS FRIENDS playing outdoors. That is what she was referring to. :moo:

Maybe they have been deleted? There were a few pretty detailed ones talking about how he murdered Dylan, where the body is, etc.

Sorry it is so obvious to you and stupid old me doesn't get it. I don't mean to offend or upset or make people angry with my slowness. To me, saying I think someone dragged him out of the truck and strangled him is an accusation, but I guess on here as long as it says I think then it isn't.

Oh I guess I didn't see those and yes, I would assume the Mods would remove such posts. Oh silly, you are not stupid and I didn't mean to imply that! I just didn't really know how to explain the difference properly.

  • #487
Ok so you hurt somebody and then you have time to sit down and look up text speak and abbreviations to make sure you get them right ?

Kids are now brought up on this stuff and its second nature. It is not for adults and i don't think a adult would get away with pretending to be Dylan .

We will have to agree to disagree on this :)

MR would know those if he had been communicating with his son via text the last year or so. Even my dad , who's 73 , has picked up the basics, IDK, OMW, etc. There was nothing too advanced in text/speak in those texts correct?

  • #488
yes ER was ordered not to drive while intoxicated with the kids in the car, that was based on MRs accusation, there is no burden of proof required and for all we know she may have agreed to that condition because she had no intention of driving while intoxicated with or without the children in the car

not necessarily see my post quoted above. its all a he says she says

Thanks for clarifying for me, Psychic and Aust :) I have been holding back on posting specific theories because I felt like they outright accused, but now I feel like I have more freedom to speak without getting in trouble.
May post what I think happened later when I have time to think it over.

The news video showing snippets of accusations of both parties in a divorce imo was done for ratings. There were no police reports, etc provided- heck, not even the entire pages- just what the station thought they could get away with. I think that they are ugly and unfair to both parents, the family, and especially Dylan.

Anyone who watches anything about crimes on tv nowadays also knows that there's almost no case that can't be solved within an hour or two if your investigators are good looking enough. :waitasec:

Your investigators are only as good as the information they are told!

You cant solve a crime with lies!

I would love to hear your thoughts! I love websleuths because I like to read everyone's thoughts and theories. There are many times I read something someone posts and a lightbulb goes off. Just don't out and out accuse and you will be fine. Don't say I think MR (or whomever) did this or that, rather say you think it's a possibility if he did this, that's how it could have happened. Obviously none of us know exactly what happened. If we did, we wouldn't be here. It's a place to discuss possibilities but we have to be very careful not to accuse. So just keep that in mind.

Important Changes to the discussion :

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. To be clear, the victim in any case we cover is the victim (missing and/or deceased child and/or adult). Dylan Redwine is missing and he is our victim.

We are going to open discussion and sleuthing on Dylan's father Mark Redwine although he has not been named a person of interest. More often than not, we are finding that LE is reluctant to name a POI unless and until an arrest is imminent. However, the actions of LE may often times speak louder than words and for this reason, we are now going to allow discussion about Dylan's father.

Any questions or concerns with the above? Please personal message a moderator or administrator.
bumping up part one of the rules. You can discuss what has been sleuthed, etc and discuss around those things that have been sleuthed. You cannot outright blame the man. This would include saying "I think he murdered Dylan" vs "he murdered Dylan" Putting the words, "I think" do not change your intentions. If you have any questions please pm a moderator.

  • #496
The discussion rules have been relaxed but that does not mean you can outright accuse him.

All opinions are welcome, please don't talk about being on one team or another. We all want the same thing... Dylan to be found safe and brought home!!!

bumping of the rules part two...

outright accusing means accusing him in any fashion. (as described in the last post)

Websleuth members make cases go cold?

  • #498
I'm 36 (ouch!) and an avid texter too. I'm addicted to my phone and freely admit that. To address a point someone made above though, I text a lot and consider myself pretty knowledgable with "text speak" but I would not feel comfortable taking my son's phone and pretending to be him, even to cover my behind. I think I would fail miserably even though I text with my son often and know his "style". I really doubt that MR could pull off posing as Dylan.

I hear ya.

One time my DD was straightening/blow drying her hair and her best friend was texting her, so she had me text her back, and she told me exactly what to say and everything, word for word. And still her friend texted back : " Who is this?" lol

Hi Tonto, in all fairness, we are not LE. LE hopefully has tons more info than
us and is able to form a really good opinion of where Dylan is. Since we're
not privy to that , we can only guess, speculate and theorize with what we
do know.
And there have been loads of other theories talked about .
We've looked at RSO in the area and even in adjoining states.
We've looked at any possible 'hiking' or 'hitching' route he may
have taken to his friends house.
We've wondered if he fell and hurt himself out in the woods.
We've wondered if he fell into the water while fishing.
We've wondered if someone he thought was a friend took
advantage of him being alone.
We've wondered if a as of yet UNKNOWN sex offender may
live in the town among the locals and everyone thinks it's a
good person.
Do we often go back to MR? Yes because there is very little
else to go on . But it's not up to us whether or not the ' case
goes cold' because of tunnel vision *( which I don't think ws
has). We are arm chair quarterbacks....... really what happens
here has no bearing on whether the case gets solved or not
UNLESS someone here comes up with a 'lightbulb' idea, passes
it to LE and it solves the case.

Respectfully :)

Exactly . It is not easy to pick up somebody else's traits when you have no idea what they are. Even spelling a few words wrong would raise a flag as its a patten of behavior.
