Your investigators are only as good as the information they are told!

You cant solve a crime with lies!

JMO

Who is it that's been lying. Everything I've seen that MR is quoted as saying has been confirmed by LE - at least anything somewhat important. Sometimes all we have is guesses to work with, but I really hope that they have more.

Has Dylan arriving and sleeping at the house proven as fact ?

Because until its proven then its not the truth just because MR "claims" it so .

IMHO

It is amazing to me too that when going back in the threads for research I see id's of posters who in the beginning were heavily posting and now not so much if at all. jmo

For me, the reason is twofold:

#1: There really isn't anything new to discuss

and

B: I just can't get on the 'Dad is guilty of something' bandwagon. I will agree that he has to be thoroughly investigated because he was the last one known to be with Dylan, but something about this case just seems 'off' to me.... and it's not all about the dad. JMO

This makes me wonder if they took MR's pc and if not they should have to look for any searches he may have done.

And if it comes up with a search for chloroform and fool proof suffocation, then we know we got him!!!

I was searching trying to find info on the nerf football and ran across this, it bothered me when I first read it and it still makes me go hmmmmm. IDK about you all, but who answers the door clutching a pillow? Don't you typically put it off to the side and get up to answer the door? Unless maybe you were carrying it as the doorbell rang. Again, just another hmmmmmmmm

When approached at his home in Vallecito, Mark Redwine answered the door clutching a pillow. He declined to be interviewed, saying he had been “bombarded” by media requests.

I took that to mean that he drank regularly, with regularity. Routinely.

I did not take it to mean moderately.

just clarifying-

Then you have seen LE confirm that Dylan was at the house Monday morning? Or that he even made it there Sunday? I think that is the most important piece of info that MR has offered but I can't find a single article where LE has verified it to be true.

Was it meant to be the pillow Dylan slept on?

I took it to mean just a drinker, not an alcoholic. Just like I consider myself to be a regular pool player as opposed to a professional (or even expert, I'm pretty bad!), but that doesn't mean that I play pool constantly, every day, or even on a regular basis. I guess our own experiences probably affect our perception of a lot of things.

Lol, unless the prosecution misses the searches altogether.

People that are daily drinkers often times don't even appear to be drunk. Their bodies are so used to it. And if Dylan was used to his Dad drinking daily he probably would not have thought it odd. This doesn't however mean that their thinking or judgement is not impaired. I've known many such drunks. Long term alcoholism really messes up your thinking process.

I thought she said he was a 'regular' drinker, not a 'daily' drinker. I must have missed something because all this time I thought she'd said he was a 'regular' drinker which I took to be a "normal" drinker, not that he drank regularly.

Exactly . It is not easy to pick up somebody else's traits when you have no idea what they are. Even spelling a few words wrong would raise a flag as its a patten of behavior.

ITA - In some ways, texting style is almost as unique as handwriting.

Also, once I peeked at some texts my son sent his friends. WoW! They were even a different style from what he sends me. :blushing:

Okay, I worded that poorly. I have never seen anything LE has said that leads me to believe that he has lied, and things that can be confirmed or refuted, have been confirmed. MOO

To me, the missing posters list Monday- put out by LE- confirm he was there.

Well anyone who ever watches anything about crimes on TV nowadays knows that many are solved by cell phone pings! Destroy the phone and no pings.

And the crime is ALWAYS solved in an hour on these shows.

I would think that would be asked on an LD. But, since we don't know if MR passed his or not we do not know for sure. But, the fact that he did arrive and slept at the house has not been disproved either, so I tend to think he did. But only LE knows for sure. jmo

there's also lying by omission

IIRC there was one comment he made which when a reporter asked LE the officer replied 'no comment'

I wonder how many of us would then be charged as accomplices.

And sadly even if they found such searches on his pc it would probably still not be enough to convict!
