Probably, but I wasn't there.

Well there goes the rumor that you are MR in hiding. *Kidding* but darn it would be nice to have been a fly on the wall that evening. We really, really need something new to work with.

Is anybody else having trouble with WS right now? This usually only happens when something is breaking (a case) and tons of people are trying to flood the site but I can't even get to the most obvious forums to check.

Agreed. Wish we had something. Even just a tiny morsel for us to hash out.

does anyone find it odd that when DR texts R, he says he doesn't know why MR won't let him go to friends' house Sunday night?

I just dont think he wanted to get into with dad right there. From the texts Dylan does not strike me as happy.

He seems quite despondent (sp) imo

Did MR specifically say that they tossed the football around at his house?

On the cell phone pings, it is my understanding that even if Dylan and MR didn't have GPS tracking their phones would still ping off cell towers. GPS gives exact coordinates where pings give a general location based on triangulation? Is that correct?

Kinda but I think there could be a lot of things at play. It could be as innocent as him being embarrassed that his dad said no after he had made all these plans or even knowing that the signal was spotty so he was trying to keep his texts short and get them sent while he could. OTOH, maybe MR was watching and Dylan was trying not to make him angrier.

FWIW, I lean towards the latter but I have no solid reason for believing it is any more likely than any other option.

I think that means either Dylan was mad and didn't feel like discussing it or Dad wouldn't give him a reason. I know many parents who would just say 'because I said so' and not feel it necessary to explain. Either way, Dylan wasn't happy about it I don't think. I think he was looking forward to seeing his friends more than anything on this trip.

I've even wondered if maybe Dad took Dylan's phone, Dylan got mad and took off and Dad caught up to him somewhere and something happened then.

Nope, I don't find that odd. My son was always loath to admit why his parents said "No." But in our case, it is usually because he'd failed to do chores, homework, or because we were "forcing" him to do something we wanted him to do instead. Like go shopping with us - so not cool to admit your parents are making you go shopping with them.

ETA: I just saw asyousay's post, and I agree with it as well.
Well, and everyone else's post above here too! lol

yah, he def doesn't sound happy in the texts. I wondered if it indicated MR was being unreasonable or controlling or outright mean and hostile. guess there's no way to know.

doesn't sound like things were being done right in the first 10 days of this investigation. anyone know if FBI is involved now/still, or any other organizations?

I'm having trouble too, I'm on one other forum and I'm streaming a live trial so I don't know why it's slow. I'm glad you mentioned this and that I'm not the only one. Well, I'm not glad you're having trouble. But I'm glad Im... nevermind. You know what I mean. I think. :blushing:

Well that's the first I've seen anything about MR taking a LDT and it being inconclusive in the MSM. I wonder where they are getting this information from?
The only times I've heard about MR's LDT results were that time, when LE said both parents had taken one and they wouldn't discuss the results, and when MR said he had no idea where she got that idea from (or something like that), and that he wasn't talking - his ex-wife was the one with all the answers and people only listen to her version of things anyway. MOO

I was quick to point out that the UPI article was probably misquoted. I too only want the facts as best we can obtain them. We are very limited on resources and how do we know which article is correct and which isn't? You make it seem like some of us are only looking for things that could point in one direction. I assure you I am not doing that. I am open to all options and all information.
I'm sorry if you feel that way, but I'm not making it seem that way. I never said that you were doing it, I said I think it's funny that people do (I also said that I've probably done it myself.) I have seen you post things both against MR and in support of him, so I do believe you're trying to look at facts rather than people too. The problem is that we don't have many facts to look at, and I sometimes feel like it's making us all cross-eyed. MOO

I think the football story may have been an attempt to show Dylan was not mad him about going to his friend's house that evening.

Plus to demonstrate Dylan had made it to dads home.
IMO
But I don't think he did.

My DH bought my DS a ' LIGHT UP NERF BALL' which can be used in the dark. I am not sure how well it works because they didnt try it in the dark yet.

Also, I too have wondered about his statement that he never had a chance to ask about the new house. They had a 45 minute drive, and they ate dinner and shopped in walmart. So what did they talk about?

He also said they had not yet had time to plan out their activities for the week. So what did they talk about during that 45 minute drive?

We know they talked about NOT dropping D at his friernds that night. And we know they talked about having to go at 6:30 am. But that is all I know fir sure that they discussed.

Yeah, I'm not getting this either. They had from the pickup at the airport - Walmart, McD's, the drive home, and Nerf football time to hang out. This was somewhere between bitter silence and hostility or joyful chatty pleasant father/son bonding. Or a bit of both. But the cell activity goes poof, Dylan's plans to meet up with R get nixed by MR, and he's never heard from again after 8.

And everything is fine up until 11:30 the next morning according to MR. No fights or disagreements, nothing wrong with the cell phone, nada, ne rien, niente!!! At least what's been made public.

You raise a lot of good points. Even if he is completely innocent MR has the answers to so many of our questions. It would be nice to see him do one, nice sit down interview. Not with NG or somebody so confrontational but more of a conversational style piece. KWIM?

<snipped>

Maybe MR can join WS? I'm sure that would go well.

When was the last we've heard from him? Or seen him? Feels like it's been a while. But then again this whole 6 weeks feels much longer, too.

:floorlaugh::great::floorlaugh: With all the rapid-fire questions that we would throw at him it would be likely having 50 ex-wives in the same room & the FBI interview would seem like a walk-in-the-park.

LOL, I noticed something the other nights about referer links so we could invite people but I think I'm going to pass.

I love having Az post with us but sometimes I struggle when people closely tied to the case are posting on the thread. It is so hard to say "I think your loved one is probably dead and maybe we should search X for the body". Censoring our thoughts really serves no useful purpose but at the same time who wants to be responsible for shattering the hopes of a fellow poster? KWIM?

Not really, I learned long ago that "No" is a complete answer. I would tell my children the good ole "Because I said no" if they asked why.

I have never heard of this woman who did the interview but it seems to me she pushed Elaine into a corner. So LE will have probably said please dont mention what we up to (be very vague) and so she keeps pushing until Elaine gives her what she wants .

I think that is why Elaine was trying not to reveal anything but she got pushed until she spilled .

IMO on reading that transcript .

You are so lucky.....JMO, of course!:moo:

I mentioned the pings a few threads back and someone corrected me (suffer from CRS sometimes) that it was never reported as pings, it was reported the last time it was used.
I think there is a difference but I'm not real sure.
