They're following all the model procedures for law enforcement for missing children. One of those procedures ensures the child's picture and info goes out to all law enforcement across the country by being entered in NCIC. Another of those procedures ensures the child's info and pic goes out to the public nationwide through a partnership with NCMEC. NCMEC, in order to fulfill their obligation, has a vast network with numerous organizations and companies nationwide to distribute the missing child's pic and info widely and in a variety of ways.
Anything else is up to the people who care about the child - family, friends, strangers across the country. I think the compassionate thing for all of us to do for the child, and also for the family who may simply be unable to for some time, is to plaster those pictures in our neighborhoods and all over the internet.
LE is doing their job, and doing it well. I don't want them sitting on TV or radio or posing for pictures or consulting with PR firms. I want them investigating these cases.
I also don't question whether families should be doing more. I go on the assumption that they're devastated. It's up to friends and strangers to help these children.
That's just me and my JMO IMO MOO though
Thank you for explaining as its different than in the U,K as your country has so very many different LE people.
For big abduction cases on children in this country it is 24/7 media reporting and the police normally do news briefing to keep the public up to date every couple of days. Also family's also do press stuff and so on.
The silence here is maddening IMO
