I understand if this is a non-issue for some. For me, fornicating on a front lawn with onlookers is unacceptable, especially if that group includes family, possibly children. That's just me, and I have no problem looking at that person's behavior critically when that person is the last one to see their child who goes missing. JMO.

To me it definitely speaks to his character.

At 3 am??? How many people were still out there in that "audience" at 3 am??? It's not like it was high noon at the OK Corral.

Well he wanted somebody (possibly the neighbors and Elaine) to see him or else why would he be doing the wild-thing out in the yard?

Kinda like "hey, get a room".....

He wanted to be seen! IMO

I fixed that for you.

<modsnip>
jk

back to Dylan...

It's so disheartening that there is *no* news.

9news has nothing.

Durango Herald hasn't had anything since the reward was upped.

No one has been arrested.

Police haven't put out a sketch of a possible abductor nor have they put out pictures of MR's vehicles.

It appears this case is quickly going cool...cooler....cold.

I think MR having sex outside ER's window shows he can be quite spiteful. He had to have done it to anger ER. Of course, MOO.

(I haven't posted in this thread for a long time, but have been lurking off and on. :seeya:)

I don't think he invited people out to watch.

Oh, for Heaven's Sake :banghead:
He was outside, in HER yard, having sex with another woman where she, his CHILDREN and God only knows who else, could get a good view.
Some are actually complaining about why Dylan was awake at 3 am? I would imagine the children were WOKE UP when mom discovered the shenanigans and called LE to report it.
Who does this crap? And in who's universe is this somehow acceptable? I don't care if it was 3am and the children were sleeping. It should be enough to cause any decent, respectable human being to raise an eyebrow at MINIMUM!

ETA: It might not link directly to murder, but it sure does show his character and lack of impulse control. A grown man. Geez.

This is lame. I can't see anyone condoning that behavior whether it be on the front lawn, the front yard, the side yard, 3am or 10pm. His kids were there and it's disgusting and if it's true it absolutely says something about his character or his drinking problem. It's possible he was so wasted he didn't know what he was doing. But that doesn't excuse it and to me screams 'drinking problem'.

Could you cite where Elaine drug the kids out to witness their father's drunken antics?

Her complaint from http://www.9news.com/news/article/303598/339/Missing-boys-family-had-violent-history:

"Mark was having sex with a friend of ours in our yard under my window and <can't read word> saw everything. When I confronted Mark, Mark got extremely bligerant (sp) He was very drunk and grabbed me and took a swing at his son..."

In any case, if this statement is true, then ER had to either wake the kids or let them out of the house to watch their father having sex. That is disgusting behavior IMHO.

Comical it is, sex on the lawn...hahahhahaha! Comical it is NOT that the lawn of which he chose happened to be under the window of his wife/ex wife, Elaine..

I, too would not put near the weight to this issue was it not for the fact that this issue did not just and only involve Elaine, but rather more importantly it involved his sons(9yoa and 17yoa) and that atleast one of those sons witnessed daddy's lovely acts..and just so happened to end up in physical fight with his father that same night(moo is that its not whatsoever some mere, random coincidence that this fight was the same night as the sex on the lawn)..

also just randomly coincidental that the same night of the lawn escapade, and physical fight with older son, is that Dylan also too at some point was a direct witness to his daddy's actions and behaviors while inebriated which resulted in young 9yo Dylan also took a swing at daddy..

MOO is its not comical and certainly isn't just some random coinky dink that the night daddy's having sex on their lawn, that both minor aged, young sons ended up in physical altercation with their inebriated daddy..

due to the fact that there is alot more to the wonderfully, memorable 4th of July these boys were involved in and a very real part of, IMO gives it a whole lot more weight than just some he said, she said line of bull between ex spouses..jmo

this thread will be locked for a cooling off period... if you have the word YOU in your post that means you are addressing a poster and not the post. If you want to discuss something do so with respect and without attacking. also a reminder that we do not discuss other forums here at websleuths.

Following up on Nurse's post above - let's move on from the front yard. This is not a contest to see who is the better parent. It is a discussion thread for trying to find Dylan. Let's get back to that, okay, and stop poking at each other. It just isn't necessary.

Thanks,

Salem

Can I mention something I saw in ER's statement? Not sleuthing but something odd.

Dylan has captured my heart and I feel helpless to be of any assistance in his recovery. All I want is for LE to tell us all how we can help!!!

Chamomile tea with lavender, anyone?

I hope no one minds if I repost my 2 questions. I'm afraid they got lost in the foray.

What all has Mark been convicted of? I think I saw either 1 or 2 convictions on menacing but I'm not completely sure. Are there other convictions?

Are there any reports of him having beaten, kicked, hit somebody? I know Elaine wrote in her PO request that he had grabbed her. I don't condone grabbing anyone ever. Are there any reports of him having struck anyone?

Thank you.

even friends/family are posting the same sentiments on Dylan's Facebook...that they haven't heard a peep from law enforcement and that they all are just waiting & waiting & waiting for answers....

so very sad

Yes, please!

On another note...I wonder if geocaching (is that still a thing?) is popular in or around Vallecito. I'm just thinking of possibilities...people who might be likely to notice or stumble upon something that could help find Dylan, even if organized searches per se don't.
