Q for the locals - what is this? It's up "Middle Mountain Road" from Vallecito:

Not sure if anyone remembers this pre-historic social media site called MySpace (it was popular when they still delivered milk to your house in bottles), but it looks like MR has a profile there. If you search his name, one of the results is "mark, 51, BAYFIELD, colorado" and in the profile pic is a guy who looks to be him sitting in the driver's seat of a dark Jeep. However the profile is set to private and you can't see the last login date.
I would like to say that none of the results are MR (JR) just to clarify.
Unless there's another MRedwine, 51 in Bayfield CO it appears that he may have had an account at some point so although nothing can really be taken from it, I do wonder if he uses the computer/internet much or more than we previously thought. Maybe he's reading along here right now. ooh!
I suspect his computer may be elsewhere at this time. But who knows? Maybe the police didn't even check that.

In response to your request for a link:
"I was married to Mark for a lot of years, and I know the way he reacts to things," the mother told ABC News. "If Dylan maybe did or said something that wasn't what Mark wanted to hear, I'm just afraid of how Mark would have reacted."
The mother also told ABC News she believes her ex-husband was upset that she was the court-mandated primary custodian of their son.
"I don't think Mark treats him very well," the mother said. "I would not put it past Mark to have done something to remove Dylan from the situation. You know, like 'if I can't have him, nobody will.'"
In a phone interview with 7NEWS, Mark Redwine responded to his ex-wife's remarks by saying she is making this "more than it needs to be."
The father added that he "needs to not lash out" at his ex-wife.

I'm sure it never occurred to them, maybe we should ping it to see where it is! :truce:
Ah, thanks for that. It's too bad the reporter didn't report the question that was asked that lead to that answer. He could be talking about their past issues, and saying, eh...it wasn't really all that bad. Or he could be saying that Elaine actually *is* making more of the situation (Dylan disappearing) than it needs to be.
My guess is it's the FIRST one, but the reporter sure did a good job of murking that conversation up.
Saying that he "needs to not lash out" is an interesting choice of words, however.
I need to ping to see where I am. LOL :blushing:
My impression of it was that he meant she was making more of him not answering her texts/calls than need be. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in that comment. The press really seems to be trying to get those two into a public battle, and I think he was just saying that he didn't think it was the time for lashing out at her in retaliation (if there ever really is a good time for it.) I'm sure many people will interpret things differently than that, but it's still MNSHO.
I don't know why but this case is making me think of Hailey Dunn, as i had thought she would be found very quickly at first, as i did with Dylan, and here it is two years now. Maybe it is the convoluted family backgrounds that seem similar and that they were the same age when they vanished. And both were gone from their beds according to a parent.
I don't believe MR ever claimed that Dylan vanished from his bed. He said that he found a cereal bowl in the sink and the TV on, indicating that Dylan had gotten up. That's why he thought he either went to the lake or hitchhiked to a friend's house.
Psychic Sleuth, you had asked me if LE stated after November 29th that they didn't believe Dylan had run away.
We all have to do our own research and come to our own conclusions, but I can share with you what I have in my notes and the conclusion I've come to on it -
- Nov 26 - direct police quote that they have not ruled out any scenario (Ransom recently linked this)
- Nov 28 - reports start saying that police "don't believe" "don't think" "no longer looking at" run away theory
- Nov 29 - direct police quote that run away theory is not closed out (I recently linked this)
- after Nov 29 - reports continue with no quotes saying that police have "ruled out" run away
I concluded that it was a case of the police saying something like "we don't think he ran away because of passage of time, no one has heard from him, etc.", and it turned into Reporters Gone Wild and stretching it to "ruled out".
From what I know, police very rarely "rule out" a theory or scenario. It would cause big problems for the DA at trial, not to mention the egg on their face and scoffing and laughing of them, loss of trust in their community, etc if it turned out they were wrong. I see police all the time in these cases saying "We think/don't think" and "we believe/don't believe"
JMO IMO MOO etc
