I agree, but in none of the cases I have followed money has not been a motivator to anyone coming forward. Not sure what that means. Is there no one who knows anything or if there is are they just afraid to come forward. jmo

The only 2 that come to mind recently are the Bain girls and the Mickey Shunick case.

ETA Meant to state reward money paid out and forgot. Sorry.

What point stands? His mother said he had a hard time with mornings, so hard that on school mornings, when he had to get up he'd shower and dress the night before. Meaning on non-school mornings, he'd tend not to get up. That's how I take what Elaine said. She's his parent, his other parent, Mark, indicated the same thing - that Dylan had a hard time getting up when he didn't have to.

I take the parents at their word, because they surely know Dylan better than I do.

I have got to chime in on a point that is so ridiculous I cant believe it: ok I raised 4 kids. You all have raised many as well.
I don't care how hard a kid deals with mornings, will any of you tell me who puts their kids to bed in fresh street clothes!??? I am sorry but I have never heard of any mom I know even the most spoiling and accomodating moms, who puts their kids to bed in street clothes. From the poorest to the richest no kid goes to bed in street clothes. Shower? Bath? Of course. Socks pants school shirt? Cant even think how a child could b comfy enuf to sleep like that. Ugh! Not buying it. Sorry with all due respect I cant imagine any mother putting her child to bed with tomorrows street clothes on. Sorry that speaks more to a PARENTS inability to deal with mornings than a child. And 2 of my 4 were heavy sleepers, bad morning grumps. Who the hell is running this show? Ok let the arrows fly. Just FWIW....IMOz it has do little relevance as to b ridiculous....but since this has been stated about a half dozen times I couldn't handle it any more.

Oh yeah.. To much bailey's on my part, ninjas walk thru walls :floorlaugh:

Well, if I hadn't already made an impression on this thread then this brief exchange would have done it. But yes, the ninja walks through walls. He is not all powerful, flying is a no go.

Here's ER's quote from Nancy Grace:
REDWINE: No, and I appreciate that. You know, Dylan was always good. He always had to wake up for school early. So irrespective of what time he went to bed, you know, he was really good about waking up. So if he had plans at 6:30 to meet with his friends, you know, it`s uncharacteristic of him not to be up and ready. So, you know, I just -- I know him. And I know him very well. And I think that, you know, he definitely would have been up and ready at 6:30, 7:30, whenever in the morning.

Thanks, but that's not the quote that was being discussed. The one being discussed was the one about how Dylan doesn't like mornings and showers and dresses the night before to get up for school.

If you'll give me a few minutes (I'm eating a late dinner) I'll find it.

That was a direct quote from his mother, but I personally don't know any mother who would allow a child to go to school in the same clothes he had just slept in. To each his own, I guess. MOO

As the mother of two boys, 12 & 17, I pick my battles. Clothes isn't a battle I fight. Shower yes, wrinkled clothes? No. If it took letting either of my kids dress the night before to make mornings more tolerable then I'd shake my head and roll my eyes but I wouldn't fight about it with them. They're boys. If wrinkled clothes work for them then so be it.

Maybe I'm one of those horrible moms but I've raised two (almost three) boys and by the time they got to be old enough to pick out their clothes, etc., I quit dressing them. In fact, I'm sure my older boys probably slept in their clothes for the next day.

My youngest doesn't do this because he has OCD and has to wear his pj's to bed, specific color on specific days. LOL

I would like to add thoughts and feelings here..

We are all here for Dylan.
We are all frustrated because we don"t know where he is and what happened.
We have very little info that are facts to go on.
I have read all posts about Dylan and I am still at square one just like all of you.

I know we all hurt because we feel helpless.. I take a break from here to clear my thoughts and rethink everything but I am still at square one.

Only one person or maybe persons knows what happened..this may be a long road guys..I hope not.. But I am afraid we may not get the answers we want anytime soon. So it's ok to get fustrated and when we do it's time to walk away for awhile.. I say this with all the love and compassion for Dylan.. He needs fresh ideas and thoughts to bring him home and right now we are so confused and upset we are not sure what is really going on. Hugs

I know most people in this thread are female, so speaking as a male...

It takes me about two minutes or so to put on my clothes. That's not "lounging around the house" clothes, that's "I'm going to work" clothes and I dress business casual. I'm no morning person either.

I'll shave the night before if I have to get up really early. I might even shower the night before if I know time will be really tight. I've never, ever dressed the night before and slept in those clothes.

Sometimes we need a little humor to lighten our load.

My son went through a (short) period where he did the same thing.

it's been posted before but law enforcement (Bender) just said "sometime Sunday evening."

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1211/28/ng.01.html

BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS`s, so if they`re turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime.

and ER said Dylan's phone records reflect it was 8pm

I've wondered if sometime around 8:00 PM the battery went dead on Dylans phone and he plugged in his charger and decided to read a book. What if the wall outlet that he used is like some and are controlled by a wall switch and it was in the "off" position? Maybe Dylan didn't notice that his phone wasn't charging until the next morning.

Would that explain the lack of activity after 8:00 PM?

I just wish more people understood my humor so I didn't always cause a riot when I posted a joke! :what::banghead:

As i said yesterday...the next move really belongs to LE or the family. Nothing we can do with so few facts. The longer the silence continues, the quicker the case fades into the roster of other such unsolved cases.

We should start a joke thread downstairs and have fun for awhile and take a breather

I must be a horrible mom, but I will admit that my oldest kid used to do the same thing. He would shower and put on his nylon basketball shorts and his clean socks, t-shirt and jump into bed. The next morning all he had to do was roll out and eat his pnt butter toast, put on his hoodie, slip on his Vann's, brush his teeth, and GO.

I believe if IRC that R's texts continued til 9:30 or so but Dylan's texts stopped shortly after 8:00 and sort of in the middle of a convo. Its been on here verbatim in older threads about Dylan. Shut off (phone) or not used? If it was still working they (LE) would know where Dylan's phone/and Dylan might be until the battery died..because of pings. They haven't said of course.

Not for me, because even if the battery was dead, once he plugged it in, he would have wanted to see R's response, IMO, and so he would have noticed it was not charging if he could not. And on my part, this is assuming his phone happened to go dead in the middle of his talk with R., something I find bordering on too coincidental for my comfort, JMO.
