The thing is, he can shout it to the rooftops, he can say he's innocent and didn't do anything to the boy until he's blue in the face and someone is always going to see something that to them won't make sense and they'll think his protests mean nothing. In the position he's in, the best thing he can do is just not to play.

BBM: That may be the best thing he can do for himself, but it certainly isn't doing Dylan any good for MR just not to play. I always look at these cases with the thought, "What would Marc Klaas do?" He wouldn't do what MR is doing, which is absolutely nothing but laying low.

MR needs to man up and go take the second poly, participate in any fundraisers and talk to MSM to keep this case in the public eye. LE has said that leads have dwindled to practically nothing now.

MR's lack of presence in this seems like he has given up on it. Perhaps he has, but it also leads people to think he knows Dylan won't be coming home. That's not a good thing, IMO.

So they have Absolutly no idea on what has happened to Dylan and no idea on where to even start looking .

To me this means they are not convinced he is passed. The dog hits
or whatever it was at the water is not so conclusive that they feel
he is in that lake. It also means they may have found ZERO evidence
of a homicide, no blood, dna ,etc that would show him as deceased.
Hmmmm . I know this was posted 2 days ago but is the language in
it new or recycled from some previous bits? TIA

Anyway, LE is not going to tell the press much, we've seen that, whether they have an idea or not.

ETA Just turned on the news, they are talking about an avalanche warning near Durango.

I think they have to keep hope no matter what until proven otherwise . I think they probably know the reality in a situation like this when its been nearly two months without a word or any clues IMO !

And I wonder how he would feel if he heard what so many others were saying about his Dad harming him. What if he comes home. What if he's alive and in addition to what he's already been through, he has to deal with so many people, along with his mother, thinking his father was so low that he'd harm him. Whatever he's going through, more has been added and that's a shame. JMO

If my child was missing and I had absoloutely nothing whatsoever to do with his disappearance I wouldnt care what anyone said about me or thought about me. The only thing that matters is my missing child.

I just can't think of a realistic scenario in which he is alive, in great part due to his age. The only way I can imagine is if he left by choice and had a plan and a person to live with, but I don't really believe that.

If he really left that house under his own power, i am not totally convinced that he did not meet with an accident of some sort and simply has not been found. That seems more likely to me than the evil monster being right there, at the exact right moment. But LE ruling this out so quickly makes me think they know more about the status of his phone.

I am also not convinced that he is still working with LE. I've seen nothing that appears to be recent from LE about his cooperation, just the standard reprints from media.

I see, so not necessarily words from LE , but surely shes' got a little better
take on what LE's thinking than we do. I'm still going with this may be hopeful information !

I don't find it to be any news at all. They have determined all along that they do not believe Dylan is deceased (the FB page) and won't, unless he is found. Which is good, of course, but not any kind of breakthrough.

I understand. I guess I'm just hoping for any good news. I'm guessing LE
is in touch with mom and mom is in touch with Hess and so the idea they
still think he might be alive somewhere and held captive is the opposite of
what I've been thinking. I thought for awhile that LE may have told ER
that chances are he is deceased and that was why no pleas for his return
through local media, etc. That was just my thinking, not based on hard
facts. So if someone close to the inside still says he may be alive somewhere
I still hope that means LE has not given them definitive reason to believe
he is deceased. Mooooo

Without any type of evidence of proof, LE will never say they believe a missing person is deceased, especially a child. But I believe Dylan is deceased. Very sad to say.

I think of Dylan each day. I have not followed his case over the last couple weeks since I have taken a bit of time off from WS. I have found, for me at least, that time off is good. Otherwise, these cases would make me go crazy.

Dylan, I will not forget you. Where are you dear child? You are loved.

LE has a funny way of working, if anyone knows what I am getting at. Also, when ER says, "hey, I was just really upset and angry with MR, but I must apologize and say I don't think he could/would have harmed DR" .............that is when I will think maybe they really think something else happened to DR.

We saw Sierra Lamars Mom and Dad join together and speak out about their daughter.
I know it had to be hard for her but she did it knowing what a despicable horrific thing her husband had been charged sentenced and did jail time for.

I cant imagine what went on in this relationship for this couple to not join together to find their son.

The only thing that would keep ME from joining with my ex would be if I thought he was RESPONSIBLE.

At least Dylan has Elaine fighting his corner. And if Dylan is alive then she will do all she can to bring him home which is what any loving parent does . They never give up .
