I thought circumstantial was the phone going dead on Sunday night and then apparently vanishing Monday morning when nobody but MR can corroborate the story ?

Those things might become a part of a case at some point, if LE also had what they considered, for example, proof that Dylan was never at the house.

But really, I think this is going to be as tough a case as ever there was. Absence of evidence is not evidence. Absence of a crime scene also does not mean there was no crime. But proving what LE may believe happened sounds close to impossible to me, as of now.

It is likely, IMO, to remain a kind of standoff, like Ayla, like Kyron, like Lisa, like Isabel, where a parent or parents may have a shadow over them forever, some with good reason, others maybe not, but we may never know which are which.

Link please? I missed this in the interview I watched. I did not hear an apology, just that she didn't think MR would harm Dylan. I would love to see this part.

I have strong views on this case, but I do enjoy reading everyone's posts and input, no matter what your own theory's are. This doesn't mean I won't challenge your theory or say why I think its wrong. It just means that I will always try to do so in a respectful manner. There are people that view things in black and white and those that view them completely in the abstract, either way I often learn something from everyone of you. I just wanted to say this so that no one, no matter their view, (within TOS) will ever be discouraged from posting, we never know what idea may help solve a case.

I don't know the people who are talking about TES but the woman CC who responded, sounding like she's part of the FMDR page is not entirely accurate in describing the requirements for TES to get involved in a case. They don't only specialize in locating missing person's remains (also look for live people, too) and they work with LE, not as a seperate entity. I would like to know if that woman is speaking with knowledge that LE has recently turned down inviting TES in.

It could still be that they have no idea where Dylan is, whether he's alive or not, in which case calling in TES would not help and in that case I guess LE will continue to rely on the 2-3 tips that slowly trickle in each day.

I haven't heard much from ER accusing MR since that initial statement and her appearance on Nancy Grace. Considering that the chances of Dylan being alive one week after his disappearance versus two months later...

Interesting, isn't it? Because she did NOT repeat herself. She is now saying she doesn't believe MR is involved. While I agree it is easier to attract flies with honey, instead of vinegar, I am a bit confused as to why she basically retracted (imo) her original statement. I just really feel she didn't have to, or need to. She could have let it be. Now it is hard to know what she is really thinking - maybe that was the intended result?

Wonder why she backtracked on that??? She made the initial statement pointing fingers at MR, now she says she doesn't think he would do something to harm Dylan. Is she trying to "unring the bell?" Or trying to catch a fly with honey instead of vinegar.

It's seeming to me that she still thinks Dylan is alive. To state MR did something to Dylan would be to believe that Dylan is not, IMO.

No, your video does suggest Elaine retracted her statement that he was involved...although, after all the clipped edits of the video, it sounds like she is saying she can't fathom a parent killing their child and her mind does not want to believe it. Beats me. This is all very strange. I really wish LE would release some info. Thanks for the link.

I don't think ER is being coached in what to say. I think her words about not thinking MR could not harm Dylan are more a type of self preservation than anything about MR. She has to think that, just like Desiree said for months and months that she thought TH only gave Kyron to someone. JMO

Yeh, that oughta get him to go public and spill his guts. Nothing like your own kid going public and calling you out to get you to loosen your tongue. IMO
