The problem is that Elaine is not going to change much. Unless Dylan is found or the person who has done this grows a conscience which i doubt then it would seem this will remain unsolved IMO .:banghead:

Sadly I agree. But she has to try!

If I were her I would apologize, cry, beg and plead with MR to talk to her. And if he doesn't IMO he is a coward and a complete failure to Dylan as a father. IMO he needs to put all differences aside and step up to the plate for his son whom he claims to love so much. Not for his ex wife - FOR HIS SON!

MR: "It sounds to me like he's not even in the area," he said.

Reporter: He said he is concerned that a stranger could have picked up the teen and abducted him.

For those that said MR never said he thought Dylan was abducted, what could he have meant by the statement above?

If he thinks this is remotely possible, and especially if he thinks he could be out of the area, why the heck isn't he trying to get Dylan's name and picture out in the public across the U.S.? If he truly thinks he might be 'out of the area'. Most people have never heard of Dylan or seen his face. How can the public help find him if they don't know about him?

IIRC, per Dylan's official facebook admin, MR's been trying to get Dylan's picture on trucks. I think that's a great way to get Dylan's face out to the public, across the U.S.

That is a rumor. We know that it was posted that he picked up some fliers to put on trucks, but we don't know if he actually did take those fliers around to be put on those trucks.

Yes, I made sure to put it right there in my post that it came from the facebook admin.

Do you have a link showing that effort? So far I have seen nothing and I read most days. Thank you.

MR's lack of effort in locating Dylan, communicating with family members and not making any statements asking for the safe return of Dylan makes me wonder just who it is giving him advice.

Is this his own plan. His divorce or criminal attorneys plan.

I think he is getting some very bad advice. He was the last to see Dylan and if he had nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance then he needs a new PR firm or some better advice than what he is getting.

MOO

Based on Mark's "spoken" words, it appears that MR wants us to know that he thinks: a) something happened to Dylan at the lake (i.e. “it is likely had a fishing pole with him”) and/or b) and "he's not in the area” (that a stranger" picked him up). Mark wasn't quoted that he said Dylan had been abducted; it is inferred through a reporter’s statement.

Since most folks have a hard time with just an inference and prefer facts (i.e. Mark spoke the words), and since MR was never quoted to say, "I think Dylan was kidnapped" or "abducted," - we can only go with what he actually said: “he’s not in the area.”

As far as your question bolded above:

If we base an answer to that on only Mark’s spoken words, then the only thing that seems to fit would be the following quote:

Contacted Monday at his home, Mark Redwine declined to discuss the search for Dylan. “I know they’re looking for my son, but I’d prefer not to say anything,” Redwine said at the door of his house. “I prefer to let the investigators do their work.”

It appears by the above statement, and due to the contentious relationship with his ex-wife, that he prefers to let the investigators find his son, and that’s why we haven’t heard much more from him trying to get Dylan's name/face out there.

These reporters frustrate me! http://www.krdo.com/news/Family-to-...-boy/-/417220/18112038/-/gt5ejuz/-/index.html

In this article they describe Dylan as wearing the black Nike T-shirt. At two months in, the description of what he was wearing should be consistent. AND to me, this is critical because it implies, in my mind, that Dylan was indeed at MR's home and changed his shirt that morning when he got up.

I think it is a very important point and wish the info was consistent across the board. :banghead:

Good point. Now I am wondering what he had on when he want missing? But then again will we ever know. He is missing along with everything he had with him. Sigh....

They just never changed the original description.
And considering MR never saw him get up, how would it imply that? Frankly, since MR never saw him get up, he could have been wearing something else altogether. Assuming of course he actually made it to MR's house to begin with.

Leland Chapman, the son of Dog the bounty hunter, tweeted about Dylan and posted about him on his facebook. It got a good number of retweets on twitter, and a good number of shares on facebook.

You know this is interesting. I wonder if a bounty hunter could find a missing child. They go about things differently than LE and often find their ' man'. Curious !

has anyone ever wondered if someone ( friend or foe) came by looking for dad that morning? After he had left? And for some reason Dylan went with that person(s) willingly, or not?

I'm glad to hear this about MR! And I think it's a great idea!

I've suggested it a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to go over very well. :twocents:

This is a good point and there is something I've often wondered about his clothing description...if he actually arrived at MR's home and MR left on Monday morning before Dylan got up and dressed, then how does MR or anyone know exactly what he was wearing? If no one was at the home except Dylan, how can anyone say what clothing he was wearing?

I don't know how they're wording it now, but originally it was "last seen wearing..." which I took to mean those were the last clothes he was seen in, not necessarily what he was wearing when he disappeared. MOO
