Our youngest daughter was scheduled to make her grand entrance on Leap year Feb.29. She managed to delay her arrival and enjoys a St. Paddy's day birthday...March 17.

She is the joy of our life!

Yep. My daughter was due end of July, born mid august. She's awesome and always has been!
And...... Easy labor.....3 hours. When she was ready to make her entrance she was swift!

Shouldn't this thread be about Dylan not MR? It's one thing to be allowed to sleuth him, it's another to make the thread entirely about him when he's not even a suspect according to LE.

It seems like the goal of this thread is to turn him into a suspect. MOO

What exactly does that mean? If the mailman had seen him after MR left for Durango, then he'd be allowed to be depressed? What ER and CR are suffering from has nothing to do with what he may be. MOO

How does it have nothing to do with what he may be?

sorry but IMO ER and CR would be suffering far worse, Dylan lived with them not with his father

Yes he was the last person to see Dylan, yes we are allowed to sleuth him but as I said we don't know if he is involved so is your post implying that MR has no right to be depressed? :waitasec:

We don't know if he is or isn't involved.

my post wasn't implying anything other than the fact that ER and CR would be suffering as much or more but some seem only to focus on MR being possibly depressed.

I think anyone who has ever suffered from severe depression could probably come up with some reasons why he's isolating himself, not speaking to people, losing weight... MOO

Where ever did that thought come from? That's quite a leap.

Please show me one link saying MR is or has ever suffered from depression!

Just to clarify also, depression isn't something you just suddenly 'come down with' after a few bad life experiences. You either have it or you don't, even if life events are seemingly all going well. Anyone can feel depressed when something sad or bad happens - that's normal and to be expected. It's also not the same as suffering from the illness of depression as diagnosed by a medical professional. A little more reading here: http://http://depression.about.com/od/mooddisordertypes/tp/types.htm

Not for a second will I become an enabler of MR by suggesting the reason he keeps all this attention on himself and not where the focus should be...Dylan on "maybe he's depressed."

The more I hear and read about him the more I grow to dislike him.

With respect, all the focus is being kept on MR right here in our very own WS threads - where incidentally he has been under constant criticism for trying to lay low and stay out of the public eye - he can hardly be accused of attention seeking. In fact he was howled down for his early comments about keeping the focus on Dylan - not him.
IMO most of what has been discussed here has been opinion and speculation about his behaviour, habits, and past - if there is more info out there that you have heard or read, please share.

with respect we are on thread #25, the focus has been on many things and with the few facts that are known and without assuming things like the phone battery being dead etc then its natural that people are suspicious of MR.

I see it this way, the person who was responsible for Dylan at the time and last known to have seen Dylan is the one who should be dealing with the media regardless of their own personal wants/needs, their child has gone missing on their watch and they need to take on that responsibility, only they know the details hour by hour from sunday night until they reported Dylan as missing, they are details that ER and CR don't know.

Well I disagree that the focus on these threads has been on many things - IMO it's been on all things MR, which was what the my previous post was about. We can all assume what we want in the absence of more info from LE. I prefer to assume a dead battery, while others prefer to assume it was smashed, thrown out a car window, or otherwise wrenched from Dylan's grasp - all assumptions no matter what side of the infamous fence you are on.
It's all about opinions at this point, which is why we are all mooing at each other constantly. To some it's natural to be suspicious of MR, to others it's not. IMO it is perfectly understandable that someone attracting enormous public criticism and suspicion from strangers far and wide (not to mention having been torn to shreds for every word he uttered in the early days of Dylan's disappearance) would be avoiding further contact with the media or anyone else who has insinuated he murdered his child. IMO also, I'd assume he has been over the hour by hour details of Sunday night and Monday morning with LE more than once, and I don't see why, as frustrating as it may be for WSers, that information should be public.
MOO

we will have to agree to disagree then because I've seen members also consider RSO's, wild animals, vacationers, hitchhiking, abduction by other family members, hiding out at a friends house, hiding out in a vacant property etc

the lack of phone activity on the sunday night is the sticking point for me

If we are to believe that MR is not involved, he must have thoughts about what happened and who might have done this. Why isn't he speaking out?

Whether or not MR is depressed .........
We really have beat this horse to death now, haven't we?
Where are you little man ? :(

I wonder if the reporters are trying to get a statement or interview with Mark or anyone from that side of the family. Unless I've missed something, it seems he hasn't gone on camera for weeks and the last time I remember him being interviewed was for the Durango Herald article in December. Again, maybe I've missed something but in Elaine's words, it does seem that Mark is laying low.

Am I hearing Cory correct, does he say at about 1:26 that Mark will not take a polygraph? Cory also seems frustrated about Mark not doing things to further the process. Although the reporter did say at the end that Mark did take a polygraph. it makes me wonder if Cory is referring to a follow-up polygraph? (not sure)

IMO Cory seemed to want to say more. I do think LE has told Elaine and Cory to be careful about anything they say against Mark. Again MOO

They both appear to be holding back what they really want to say.

I feel horrible for Elaine. She knows in her heart what has happened, she can't prove it, her son has been stolen from her (hopefully by a stranger) and she is essentially gagged by LE, or by strategy. I can't even imagine living in their shoes...

So Mark is not helping basically from that interview I have read , again it points to the fact he is trying to hide something . Why else would you not be doing your utmost to bring your child home ?
