*as is usual my disclaimer of apologies for being so far behind and this post landing randomly amidst much different discussion/topics*
IMO - the fact the DR went missing immediately (and not a situation where he just didn't return home at the end of the trip) and that there were no def T'day plans indicates it was premeditated. Maybe it was done immediately so that the perp didn't lose his nerve (by spending too much time with DR and feeling too bonded to make him disappear).
While I have openly expressed my opinion of MR's possible involvement in his son's "disappearance".. I have however stayed planted firmly atop the fence WRT it being premeditated or not..
The above tho, disturbing, extremely sad, and cold it does however bring up a possibility that I'd not ever thought of..yet equally sad IMO I do find it to be a disturbing possibility..jmo.
FMDR FB page shared a video link on Saturday to a youtube vid done of the search. In it, Dylan's good friends are shown at the end discussing the text messages, timleine, etc and they share the now infamous story of Dylan hitching a ride home for them from the library in the snow. What is important is that they say this is the ONLY time they have seen him hitch.
Thanks for this IMO it just further supports what some opinions have been all along in that Dylan by no means whatsoever was a regular, or even frequent hitchhiker..IMO not even an occasional one, either.jmo.. much different in that he along with all his friends, walking home from the library in the cold&snow, HAD ON ONE OCCASION HITCHED A RIDE FOR ALL OF THEM.. One incident..one time..and under EXTREMELY DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES did this one time incident happen..
IMO there is absolutely nothing at all that leads me to believe that Dylan had a pattern of hitchhiking, nor that he had ever even again attempted to hitchhike...there is one incident that every single circumstance within which the incident occurred is drastically different than what's proposed to have been on the day of his disappearance..jmo, tho.
If I were a LE investigator, these are some questions I would have had, because Dylan's lack of communication after 8pm Sunday night is such a looming issue:
1) Did Dylan have his phone charger?
2) Could Dylan still make calls/text while his phone was charging? (so a dead battery wouldn't matter once he got to Mark's)
3) Did Mark confiscate Dylan's phone Sunday night so Dylan wouldn't be distracted?
4) Does Mark know if the phone was dropped or broken in some way?
5) Did Dylan have a pre-paid cell phone?
6) We know Mark said that before he left Monday morning, he told the sleeping Dylan to contact him if Dylan needed anything. Did Mark expect Dylan to contact him via Dylan's cellphone? Or was Dylan's phone still confiscated (and put in a place Dylan would not be able to find)? Did Mark expect Dylan to call him using the landline?
7) Had Dylan used the internet at Mark's house in the past? Did you need a password to use Mark's computer, and, if so, did Dylan possibly know the password?
Obviously LE would have Mark's landline records, so they would know if Dylan made any calls Monday morning, and there has been no indication he did.
Numbered above questions so I could easily identify each..and yes, I'm certain one or more before me has already answered these, but my going through and listing what's answered vs what's NOT answered is just as much for me to refresh my brain..
1) This for certain has been addressed by Elaine in stating that yes, Dylan had his cell phone charger packed in his bag.. also IIRC its been addressed that this item was one of the several that were taken and missing along with Dylan.(ie. Meaning if going with the theory that Dylan set out of his own free will walking from his fathers home, that the charger was in his bag he'd taken with him)
2) Yes, absolutely he would still have access to everything in his cell phone(ie. Contacts&phone numbers for friends/fam, along with ability to send/receive texts).. and as we've heard from MR, himself he was successfully texting from his home all day Monday when Dylan had gone missing)
3) NOT ANSWERED..Definitely a question that TMK none of us have the answer..
MOO is that regardless of what theory each of us are leaning toward this question is one of the top three in everyone's list...tho, differing opinions on if found to be true, what would have been the true motive for MR choosing to take away Dylan's access to his cell phone..
4) TMK we do not have this exact question actually verbally addressed and answered by MR...but I will say that IMO there are definite known actions on the part of MR which IMO directly indicate that MR did not believe the phone to have been broken, smashed, or any other manner which would render Dylan's cell phone of no use.
I say this due to the fact that according to MR, himself he throughout Monday 11/19 continued to text Dylan's cell phone attempting to make contact with his son.. take it FWIW but it leads me to believe if MR was texting his son with full intentions on his son replying..well..IMO one would think he therefor was working under the assumption his son's phone was in working order.jmo.
5) No, Dylan's cell phone was not a pay-as-you-go/purchase mins/pre-paid cell phone.. Elaine has addressed this issue and stated that his phone was actually on a monthly billed cell service provider plan.
6) NOT answered.. This IMO is obviously a question ONLY ONE PERSON has the ability to answer, MR. I would hope that tho, we don't know, that LE however have and have had the answer to these type questions.
7) TMK no answer to this exact question...but we do know that at no point, minutes after 8:00pm, Sunday 11/18 Dylan ever logged into or even accessed any of his social media sites(Facebook, gaming, instagram, etc).. therefor IMO that leads me to believe in all likelihood that Dylan for whatever reasons(ie. Due to his not having the password to dad's internet, or due to his never even being at dad's home, or due to his simply not choosing to go on dad's internet) never used/accessed/logged on any of his dad's internet devices(ie. computer, iPad, iPod, etc).
