He says he is a retired officer but how do we know that? I think he is purposely trying to start rumors.

I don't know if this person is genuine or not. I haven't read everything at this FB, but he seems to be known by the administrator. Now whether that is RL known or "online" known, I don't know. IMO, LE isn't proceeding as if they think this is either a runaway or an abduction case. Maybe there is even a split opinion. I think this retired LE, legit or not, is throwing this out as a shot in the dark. If this is an abduction, it could lead to some one talking, if not a perpetrator, maybe a witness. All MOO.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well I haven't had time to catch up on the thread since going in to hospital. After an 11 hour labour My baby girl ANAYA LEA arrived on the 15/01/13 at 1:34pm weighing 4.4kg so 9lb 7oz. We are both doing well and the birth went great. She is a total boofa with the chubbiest cheeks but man she is adorable! I am so in love :heartluv:

So nice to come back to the thread and see such good news for a change. And it is certainly something we can all agree on that she is a beautiful, beautiful little girl. Best of everything to you and family. Get lots of rest and sleep when she does. lol :rocker:

Does anyone know the retired officer's name and which dept he was affiliated with (was it one in CO Springs?) Did he have a reputation for rumor mongering? I wonder if he was regarded as a "loose cannon" or if he is legit. I wonder if ER is concerned about the potential (negative) impact of his posts -- or if she just considers them to be benign. This is definitely not a time to spread rumors, when LE seems to be so severely short of evidence.

A part of me wants to listen to this guy, more so because the admin is allowing his posts and is in on the plea to email her. I think because she is promoting this I want to say he is in fact a retired LE. He is also from co springs, so maybe he knows ER? Co springs is a big town though. JMO MOO IMO

I think he is related to one of the teachers at Dylan's school. I'd bet that he knows the family.

JK (the LE person) comments (with lots of likes) saying that the point of the page is that most missing children are returned alive, and that you can't think the worst, because most cases end well. Okay...But how many cases where the victim has been missing for two months have a happy ending? How many cases where the victim was actually held by someone...come home alive?

Um, wouldn't anything about immunity be through LE? You would have to have a discussion first with them, and probably lawyers too. You don't get immunity from talking in an email from someone who runs a FB page. Also, it's LE's decision whether someone gets immunity, not the criminal, and not someone who runs a FB page. And they are going to send out an immunity contract through email?!

So this idea that the person who supposedly kidnapped Dylan, and I guess is keeping him for conversation, should email the FB adminstrator, and then Dylan can come home, and this person won't be charged with anything....Well, there are no words.

When you contact the administrator, you will be asked to verify the answer to a question that only Dylan knows the answer to.

BBM - LE wouldn't even be allowed to offer it, they can't pick and choose who they charge with felonies. They investigate, arrest. It's up to the DA to charge or not and to make offers. But hey, if this "professional retired LE officer" truly believes that he has the power to contact LE in Durango and explain to them how things work.....................um nevermind, not going to happen.

There is no way that LE "okayed" that idea. So they either ran it by them, and ignored what they said, or LE is in for a big surprise when they woke up.
