The police sent out a press release on January 5th. They answered reporter inquiries that week. They've communicated regularly, giving updates on the case since the beginning.

Dylan has been gone close to 2 months.
I don't think we have had a word from LE this year.

And the saddest is that there are 11 members on the page and 7 guests (I know we have discussed every aspect of this case inside out).

My heart breaks for Dylan.

I know, it's so sad. But we really don't have anything else to discuss do we?

I'm sure the second we get one little ounce of new info we will all be rushing back :)

Maybe you should try reading Facebook pages...

I believe we are permitted to look at the "official" FMDR one and paraphrase, but not any others....

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy, FruitTingles. She is beautious! Please sing a lullaby to her for me and give her a warm hug. Continued happiness to you and your family...

Of everything we know about the case, how much did we find out from Christmas to today?

  • #468
Shout out to White Rabbit -- are you permitted to outline your thoughts yet? Just wondering, since we seem to have covered many if not most of the salient points at this point.

I believe we'd need to refer to the press release referred to in the above post for the most recent information as of 1-5-2013.

I'm having trouble locating the 1/5/13 press release. Can either provide a link? Thanks so much!!

I'm not sure what press release was being referred to. I did find a newspaper article which I'll try to find and link.

BBM
Maybe the article below is what was referred to as the press release ?? It's dated 1-5-13, the one of the paragraphs calls it the department's new release

Dylan was reported missing by his father, Mark Redwine, on Nov. 19, less than a day after arriving in La Plata County for a court-ordered visitation during Thanksgiving, department’s new release reiterated.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20130105/NEWS01/130109758/0/News01/Search-for-missing-Dylan-Redwine-goes-on

I don't see any direct quotes from any LE official, so maybe this isn't what is being referred to. I'm not sure. This is all I could find online.

News Release: Investigation Continues for Dylan Redwine
Date: Saturday 1-5-12 10:00 AM MST
Source: Dan Bender, LPCSO PIO Desk: 970-382-7026 [email protected] Cell:
970-759-5549

The Dylan Redwine Task Force is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of 13 year
old Dylan Redwine. Dylan was reported missing by his father, Mark Redwine on November 19th,
less than a day after arriving in La Plata County for a court ordered visitation over the
Thanksgiving holiday.

The number of tips from the public coming into La Plata County Sheriff’s Office, have dropped
from several dozen per day to an average of 2 to 3 per day. However, all LPCSO Investigators are
still assigned to the case as well as working other criminal cases. Investigators continue to make
follow up contacts by phone and in person.
As tips and other information become available, some are assigned to other Task Force members
which include investigators from Durango Police Department, Bayfield Marshal’s Office,
Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The reward for information leading to finding Dylan is now approximately $20,000.00. That
includes rewards through Crime Stoppers, the FBI, and donations from private citizens and
groups.

Some evidence sent to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been processed and returned to
La Plata County Sheriff’s Office. Information regarding that evidence will not be released since
the investigation remains active.

Family members continue to cooperate with investigators.

I guess my point is not coming across. I think Elaine was telling the truth when she talked to the producers.

We don't know exactly what she told producers. NG says ER told the producers something, but ER backtracked even from that when she later stated that the poly result was 'inconsistent.' So perhaps she lied to the producers but then told the truth on the show.

I'll reiterate: telling the truth makes it a lot easier to keep your story straight.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well :) I haven't had time to catch up on the thread since going in to hospital. After an 11 hour labour My baby girl ANAYA LEA arrived on the 15/01/13 at 1:34pm weighing 4.4kg so 9lb 7oz. We are both doing well and the birth went great. She is a total boofa with the chubbiest cheeks but man she is adorable! I am so in love :heartluv:

Be aware that if you even hint at a rational thought on one of the pages you will be flamed with vile and tacky messages in your inbox.

Not quite verbatim, but the article and link I've posted several times that I'd done a comparison on to the release I received from Bender is exact.

I've posted it several times, but scroll up 2 posts above yours quoted. I copy/pasted it.

I soooo agree and that is brilliant !!!!... I thought the same analogy actually applied to MR when he first said DR was "out like a light" and then he "backtracked" and changes it to "DR acknowledged that I had to leave and said "okay...".

As stated above, "Perhaps he, too, lied to LE/reporters but then told the truth" with his second version.

Another example to reiterate that telling the truth makes it a lot easier to keep your story straight.
