She remembers receiving the text Nov. 19 from Mark Redwine and contacting the Bayfield Marshal’s Office to report Dylan missing. She headed to the area after work.

Elaine, Hall and family members reached the area around midnight.

By 1 a.m., they began their personal search.

“Panic set in,” Hall said.

They knocked on doors, stopped at the convenience store, woke up neighbors looking for Dylan, he said. They didn’t find anything.

I am going back to the beginning for clues:

Typically, police use surveillance video to determine the interaction between the missing child and anyone else that comes in contact with them. In this case, investigators would look to determine how Dylan interacted with his father and see if anyone else approaches the boy. They might also contact customers who were in the store at the time to determine if they saw or overheard anything suspicious.

The dearth of clues, she said, has left her with an overload of unanswered questions and a suspicion that her husband knows more than he is letting on.

He doesn’t return text messages and refuses to meet with her to answer questions, she said

“He’s lost our child,” she said. “Dylan didn’t just disappear. He didn’t walk off on his own. He didn’t hitchhike and he didn’t just stop calling people on his cell phone.”

Elaine said in an article I read that the phone was off. I remember paying very close attention to that in articles I read shortly after one of the many, many discussions we have had about phone activity on Dylan's phone. Please don't ask me for a link, I would NEVER find that article again. I figure it was on durangoherald, as that is what i read the most. Don't know if maybe that was a reporter putting words in her mouth also. I am for sure I read that she said it was OFF SHORTLY AFTER 8PM. I can try to find article if someone insists.....

Obviously LE does not have enough evidence to arrest MR. If they did he would have been arrested. I don't even think they have evidence that a crime was committed.

In many cases this is not true. LE often has plenty of evidence, they would just rather find a body before bringing charges.

An AM radio reporter from Milwaukee...

And apparently newest expert on all things Dylan Redwine. :floorlaugh: Ok, you guys, I'm kidding, I'm trying to lighten things up here. It's my gallows humor.

So he's a reporter??? Not LE? Then how would he know about the 8:00 pm time for the phone when LE hasn't even said that?

We're supposed to sleuth to find that out! LOL I just copied and pasted what I found in the Nancy Grace interview since we were discussing where the 8:00 came from. I found it accidentally...

At least it's a direct quote and not just a generic "weekly/monthly update" with no direct quotes whatsoever. He had to hear, see, read it somewhere... we just have to figure out where HE got his information from.

Nancy Grace 11-28-2012

Nancy: I`ve got another question. To you, Ellie, what do we know about this little boy`s texting? Did he have a cell phone? Did he text? Did he e- mail? What do we know?

JOSTAD: Yes, he did have a cell phone, according to his mom, Elaine Redwine. And she said, too, just the fact that -- according to cell records she`s seen, the fact that there was no activity on Dylan`s cell phone after 8:00 PM is very unusual. She says this is a tech-savvy kid who is always texting.

So the fact he didn`t text anybody Sunday night or Monday morning she finds odd.

Looks like O'Donnell was on the same night as when Jostad reported that Elaine saw the cell records..... so maybe he got it from Elaine and/or those records (?).

I think he got it from the same place that Denise Hesse, the FB administrator got it from. She said that she had been on the phone with an investigator, who updated her on the case. And she was told that the phone was turned off at 8 pm and never turned back on.

But that wasn't the same night Elaine was on. So they either had to have talked to her, or seen the records or something since both of them were saying it.

I believe that NG's producers do pre-interviews with people before NG gets her shot at them.

I had posted about O'donnell the day after Xmas. I was curious where he got the info because he's out of Milwaukee.

Well he's an attorney, a news anchor and a reporter, and he was on Nancy Grace (11-28-12) the same night Jostad said that ER saw the cell phone records... 8:00 end of activity phone off jargon... Maybe he had that information available to him that night or prior to the show and/or someone shared it with him. Denise Hess was on that same night, too. I thought that's what reporters/attorneys did was to get information. I'm not sure where he got it specifically... but he stated it... so he had to get it from somewhere..

I didn't see/read your previous post, Mrs.PC and wish I would have...

And I find it interesting in that newest article that ER uses the present tense of MR ' wont' return texts' . All we had heard before was on that first few days he did not and we assumed he might have been busy with LE, etc. So now the media and attention has died down, shes' trying to contact him and still no returned texts? Did I get that right? If so, isn't this the opposite of what MR said when he said he thought they should 'get together' to figure out how to find DR? OR I'm not going to look for links, but you guys know the things I'm talking about right? He says he's willing to talk to her about anything to help DR but to this day is not returning her texts ? So..........what up with that MR ? hmmmmmmmmmm ?
