Jessica R case was NOT a STRANGER DANGER alert put out by the local LE. She was taken by an unknown perp on the way to school. Didn't stop peeps from naming the dad that was supposed to take her/his son to school as THE perp. Somer Thompson was abducted by a creepy/neighbor. NO STRANGER DANGER went out there either. Didn't stop posters from blaming her sweet mom (Diena) or her good friend who was the baby sitter that day.....

NO ALERTS from LE in the above. LE alerts are very, very rare. Long time posters know this, IMO.

Sure there will always be people that believe someone is guilty / innocent /or doesn't know. That happens in every case. It is human nature to read an article/watch the news & form an opinion of some kind or want to know more.

E and L had PC to no avail!!!!! It was a long time from those precious girls going missing until their bodies were found. Those PC said absolutely nothing, nada. And nothing since then, IMO. Posters get frustrated. I get that.

The 1 hour/CSI results are not real. LE/FBI/etc ... takes time. It's hard to wait. I get that too. I'll wait. IF my crew from NM has to go back to search ... we will, but we will NOT be part of any non LE search. Nope, not gonna happen.

NO they haven't. Children, moms, dads, teens, etc. makes no difference. I can list them if you wish. No one is more special than the next. A child is no more important than a mom who's kids await at home nor a dad who's wife is beside herself or a silver alert for a handicapped adult/aged person. Yes, they did finally issue an alert, but prior to that it was a big thing that the police refused to issue an alert. The reporters knew there was a predator on the loose, there were opinion pieces done on how the police wouldn't issue the alert, and reporters - one very stridently - confronted the LE spokesman Trevor one morning at one of the press conferences. It was horrible and many people were outraged that no alert was issued for so long.

edit - please, if you have children, and there is an abduction in or near your area, or a missing child, please don't wait for the police to issue an alert - protect your children! please!

But the circumstances are often very different. Devon vanished with her car, so there was no immediate thought that she was abducted, simply missing.

My only point in this whole conversation is not so much warning the community, but that it is rare to have a child go missing and barely hear from LE at all, other than a dry repetition of facts once a month or so, in a press release. Have they once talked to the public via a live PC? This, I do not understand and it is JMO.

Thank you. I know this has to be unbearably difficult for you. There is little good to be found in this situation but in all the darkness Dylan's siblings shine through. Their love for him is clear. You & Elaine should be very proud of the job you've done raising them.

sorry for what you're all going through - rather being put through IMO. MR sounds like a piece of work. I think the rally is a great idea, personally. And it sounds like LE likes and supports the idea. I wish LE was going harder on this. <modsnip>. <MODSNIP> Condolences.

the school districts send out warning letters to all students in JR's district. It wasn't LE, but the school district.

IMO the only attention Cory is seeking is all about getting answers to help find Dylan.

you and your children have been under extreme stress for the last two months too, of course thats going to take a toll on each of you so please look after yourselves and take time out when you need to.
