I'm hoping you are right, but will they try to bring a case before they find Dylan? I'm not sure what the charge would be at this point.

it could be much like Kyron Horman's case. (which is still in limbo)

And maybe they don't have enough yet due to the remote location (re: video and camera footage).

I think they are on it however and it never hurts to see what the grand jury is up to.

I wonder why the billboards are going up in Colorado Springs rather than the area he went missing from.

In my opinion, everyone in the area he went missing from knows him and is looking for him. Colorado Springs isn't that far away, but far enough, that people *may* not know who he is. (this is just a guess) But it is a small town type place, so, I'm not sure a billboard would do much in the area he went missing from except to remind everyone that he is still gone.

IIRC a company generously donated free space there.

I read on FMDR that a company donated the signage, but heard nothing of actually donating the adspace. Regardless, it seems the billboards should be in the area of where the child went missing. MOO

Hmmm, I don't agree with that. Colorado Springs is where ER lives. If anything, like Score said, it should be in the 4 corners area. Vallecito, Bayfield and Durango should have been the first areas, I would think. Not everyone reads FB and most of the MSM articles are from the bigger areas, so not necessarily everyone in the immediate area knows. JMO

But what about tourists? Or people just driving through? It's not like only people who would see the billboard in the Durango area would be locals.

Most billboards companies have contracts with companies that paid huge amounts for the space for a period of time. It is possible the Durango area doesn't have a billboard from Larmar or maybe the space has already been contracted out. Perhaps the only space available was in Co. Springs? Maybe they were grateful for what was offered & took that.

The post I read explained that Lamar has to take care of their paying customers first. They are hoping to get some in AZ, NM, etc. when Lamar has unused space available. These are being donated by Lamar so everyone should be grateful for what they are providing! Thanks, Lamar!

Thanks for the information! That makes sense.

And yes, very glad to see Lamar helping out!

My apologies, I didn't realize Lamar had the market cornered on billboards. I believe they've raised enough money to add billboards in other areas. I'm not lessening the wonderful donation by Lamar. IMO

I am glad you mentioned Lamar. I do bookkeeping and we pay Lamar for billboards.. I love using businesses that have good business practices. Way to go Lamar!

I don't know if Lamar has the market cornered on billboards, maybe they are the only company that have offered billboards.

isn't the money thats been raised for the reward?

I wonder if Bayfield even has many billboards. I don't think they actually construct them in these cases, but use what is already there.

I'm not sure how to read this. It looks like it really varies by market size. And this is for Colorado. Not sure how AZ & NM rates compare.

Once Spring comes, if they were to ask in a search group like TES, what does that cost?

thanks! Wow! That was a very hefty donation on Lamar's part!

Looking at the info for CO, makes sense to put in CS for now.

Nothing new. And I think you and I may be the only ones on the thread. I hope you are just enjoying and loving that new baby. Not sure where this is going with Dylan. Certainly a sad situation jmo
