First post as a WS'er. I have been reading off and on about Dylan and some of the other missing persons cases. I don't know if the idea of bear attack has been explored. I know I have seen posts mentioning mountain lion attacks, but not bears. I may have missed it though.

Posted in Sept. 2012, the article mentions "a significant rise in black bear sightings and encounters, specifically in southern Colorado cities like Durango and resort areas such as Vallecito Lake."

It's sad to think that this may have happened, but is a very real possibility to me.

WOW , awesome find ! Tks for sharing that and welcome ! That is interesting. If Dylan lived there all that time and assumed it was safe to play in the woods, then maybe a recent surge in the bear population changed it but the people didnt' know. Very good info!

I've said so many times. While I think MR is very suspicious and I'm leaning towards he's involved in this, I will be shocked if he is and managed to cover it up . No offense to him but he doesn't seem wise/calm/stealth enough to do it . However stranger things have happened.

I haven't watched the videos or followed closely enough to get a feel for whether or not he is capable of covering it up. That's an interesting angle to consider.

However, I do think that some mistakes were made: Dylan disappeared completely. No backpack or miscellaneous items found at MR's home, for one. That's what stands out to me so much. Someone wouldn't take everything they brought for the holidays off with them again the next morning. Something would've been unpacked/left behind, IMO. So I believe that's a big flag - and something that wasn't thought through. Other than that, I believe the actually crime scene is elsewhere just out of default, not planning, and getting rid of Dylan was quite simple and didn't require elaborate planning, cleaning up of evidence, etc. JMO

Mod's can we talk about just what the family is saying? Pretty please??? I take much of the other talk with a grain of salt. It's becoming a mob mentality and I think that's dangerous.

No, sorry we are not discussing the family based on either facebook page. We have no way of knowing or verifying who they are. It is all considered rumor here. If this changeds we will let you all know.

It does. But I will not hold it against the family. I understand that they just want Dylan back and are willing to do what ever it takes! They are tired of not getting answers. I commend them for stepping up to the plate. I just hope they're careful.

I hope that the increased pressure being put on by family/supporters brings answers one way or another, while staying within the law.:twocents:

If he knows where Dylan is, and he is not alive, he won't ever admit it. JMO, of course.

Let's pray if MR would choose to do something drastic (ie end his life due to guilt/public pressure) he would not leave the family without answers.

I know and understand everyone is frustrated at the lack of news in this case. I'm frustrated also. BUT that doesn't mean we are going to throw the rules to the wind and allow for a lot of bickering, accusations, hostility or unverified rumors to take over this case.

This is about DYLAN - not the family drama. The family needs to do what they feel is right to bring Dylan home. We, as websleuthers, need to do what we can to assist, without becoming involved in all the drama and unsubstantiated information.

If you have questions - PM A MOD (yes, I'm yelling), don't post them in the thread. Just send a note and we will respond. As you all know, myself, Nursebeeme, Imamaze and Angelonline are following this case pretty closely. BUT you may send your pm to ANY mod. We all talk and we can all get answers.

Today i made arrangements for a Family dinner. My Son's Birthday is 2 days before Dylans. Altho my Son is a bit older we always have a Family gathering at all Birthdays. It made me sad. Dylan has missed so much. So has his Family:rose:

I got the impression that he was simply saying he "thought" the interview was with both parents. He has apparently been in D.C. from what I read. I don't know if is has anything to report re Dylan.
