So due to the planned protest Mark has already spoken out which is more than he has done in months . So that's a win for Team Dylan IMO .

It's also bringing in much needed publicity for the case which is a massive bonus .

Its a pity that he seems to be more interested in avoiding giving answers instead of getting the investigation on track to finding Dylan quicker.

trying to weigh up what we know and the scales are tipping further and further IMO

I still think Dylan was the victim of stranger abduction, had an accident, or he ran away because of the forced move to Colorado Springs.

MOO

He did not run away as LE have ruled that out and he was from all accounts happy in his new home as it was a bigger city and it gave him more social things to do as he was growing up .

The latest article was interesting. Glad MR spoke out. Even if it was about him. Interesting he was going to file charges over the text. Especially when one can simply block them. I'll leave it at that.

I love how in that interview marks friend says its " disrespectful to Dylan " - is she joking as the only disrespectful one is Mark who has to he backed into a corner before he will talk and if the family don't want his help then he should get off his bum and do his own fund raisers and so forth . So that's just a excuse to try and excuse his behaviour when it comes to a lack of involvement in helping find Dylan . MOO , IMHO

I had been asked if MR felt a victim, IMO YES. Nothing was his fault, nothing was his responsibility if something went wrong, it was someone elses fault.

I've had some very serious talks with people over the past two days and emotionally I am drained. I can't imagine what Elaine is dealing with. What I can tell you is that MR has been offered to put funds towards the reward and declined. Declined on multiple offers.
MR was not at fund raisers because he was not personally invited. Despite the little matter that NO ONE was personally invited.
MR has not changed in his "oh poor pity me" mentality
He has taken one polygraph, not a second.
Today is his son's birthday and not a call, card, anything.
He has grandchildren that he has never met and never will meet because his children do not want him around them.
I'm sorry, but this has frustrated the living daylights out of me. I'm sad to see that there is an opinion that Cory is doing his rally for attention, I'm sad that his postings are in doubt. If any of you knew for one second what these boys, and my daughter are going through, you wouldn't doubt it for a moment. They are desperate children looking for answers and I bless, condone and support every single legal way that they go about it. They want their brother back.
We have allowed ourselves to be dragged through the mud, not here, but elsewhere. All for the sake of finding Dylan. People know things about us that we don't even remember!
Sorry that I am ranting, it's hard, it's sad, and I'm emotionally drained.
@Mods, delete if necessary, I was told that as an insider I could post what I really know. I hope beyond all hope that I haven't violated any TOS.

Awww Grandma ! I'm so sorry that folks are belittling your family :( Remember you determine who you are and the words of a stranger hiding behind a user name and keyboard mean nothing in your life. Let it roll off your back and go on with your life. Your input has been invaluable here and
your support for Dylan speaks highly of your character . You do it for your kids and if everyone put their kids first , what a wonderful world it would be !
Stay strong girl !

I'm pretty sure everyone at WS doesn't expect these cases to be solved in an hour. But it's been months and years since Lauren S, Holly B, Isabel, Lisa, Kyron, Haleigh, Hailey, Dylan, and so many more victims went missing. How much longer are these families going to have to wait for answers?

Respectfully snipped - I couldn't imagine being a family member with a child missing. I'm afraid that in most of these cases, LE and we "know" who did it, there is just no absolute proof or hard evidence. And it makes me mad that these people get by with it with just dumb luck or chance.

I don't blame Cory for what he's doing. I mentioned the Lisa Stone case here in Dallas, they held a vigil outside her home one night with press and nothing loud or bad happened, one woman had a sign that said ***** where is Lisa? (and the ****** is her name, not a bad one!~)

Without concrete proof, many hands are tied and it's just a waiting game. I would want to force the hand and get some action going, if possible.

Dropped charges do not mean it never happened. There are lots of reasons that judges drop charges in neighborly disputes. But that does not mean that MR didn't blow up and have a major meltdown that day. JMO

My DH has a super bad temper, a real hot head , especially with co workers and bosses, LOL. Everyone who knows him knows it ! Point is he's never been arrested, ticketed, charged and/ or charges dropped. It's never been a legal issue. He throws a fit, gets over it , apologizes, cleans it up and his co workers laugh about it . SO...... I would say for it to be a legal issue is a REALLY bad temper, not just your run of the mill hot head. MOO IMHO JMO !

''Mark Redwine said the Vallecito community has been supportive, even shoveling his driveway as a show of support.

He has tried to be involved with activities aimed at finding his son, he said, but organizers have shunned his participation.

“I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t,” he said. “Emotions are running very high right now, with all of this.”

WOW !

Can you file harassment against FAMILY MEMBERS for texting you too often? I doubt it.

I would think it would depend on the content of those texts.

I just read the latest article..

I am still sitting here::fence: on what I think happened to Dylan.

(great synopsis of theories/possibilities upstream Cluciano!)

It makes you wonder why only about " two " people have spoken out on Marks behalf if he is being supported and how come more than a 100 people are going to join the rally outside his house . People who think Mark is innocent would not be there on Saturday IMO .

I tried to go to sleep, but my brain is too full of this case and I want to set out the options as to what could have happened, as I see them, before I forget my line of thinking.

Possibilities:

1. Dylan left on foot and met with an accident or wild animal or water, but has not been found. Seems unlikely since nothing was found; his backpack probably would have surfaced by now, perhaps some clothing, as I doubt he would have ventured deep into any woods (or even left the house, since he had a ride.)

2. Dylan set out and was picked up by a local who may know MR is some capacity and either knew Dylan was visiting or saw him close to the house and figured out who he was, offers him a ride, maybe tells him his father knows about it. This person happens to be a secret child molester, as yet not caught, and molests Dylan and knows he can't leave him alive as a witness, as he is far too old. In this case, Dylan is probably not far away and the perp would have been back in his own realm within a few hours at most, no one the wiser, i.e as in Jessica's case.

3. Total random stranger happens by and entices Dylan either from the house or road, into his vehicle, offering to deliver him to friend. Random stranger is a an ex-con, child molester, or some other variation of criminal, and Dylan is either still at this person's mercy (unlikely) or his body could be anywhere, if taken out of the area.

4. Dylan is either taken away, or killed, by a family member, most likely MR, as he is the only one with known access to Dylan. This could have happened on Sunday night or anytime before MR reported him missing to ER. He could be alive, but only if an elaborate plan had been made in advance to keep him away for a long period of time with help from someone, which to me is unlikely.

Is any other scenario possible than these four?

To me, #2 or #4 seem most possible. I don't see #1, Dylan really falling into a lake, or being taken off by a bear, or breaking his leg in some hidden spot where he cannot get help. And I have trouble with #3, the random stranger (not local) happening by at just the right moment. Yes, kids are picked up by random strangers, i.e. Daniel, and Jessica, but bus stops and near schools are perfect places to troll for kids. A lone child on a Monday morning with no one else in sight is not a very likely occurrence. Too much coincidence for me.

Anyway, long and rambling, but I am trying hard to keep an open mind, I do not generally have a closed one. If not for the level of dysfunction in this family, I might lean more toward #2 than #4.

All JMO from my very tired brain...

ETA: I suppose just plain running away would be #5, but surely he would have surfaced if not encountering any of the events in #1, IMO. I mean, where would he go? I don't believe he just decided to strike out on his own. Sounds to me like he had a good life, other than issues with custody.

I've thought about something like Number 2 a LOT. There are tons and tons more sneaky , friendly neighborly pervs that there are RSO's. And it does seem like they prefer ( probably because of less detectability) living in the vast wildnerness type areas than in closed up cities. Wondered if MR had a friend who came to visit sometimes , maybe even tended the house and or roomed with him on occasion and maybe MR doesn't even know him that well. MR says hey you can't stay here next week, my boy's going to be in town, etc etc. Men do not have to " know" someone as well as a woman to invite them to stay at their house. Sorry guys but this has been my experience. They may have met at work, met at the bar, etc. Guys' down on his luck, MR says sure stay with me a bit if you like. I'm not home too often anyway.

Does anyone watch the show ' unusual suspects' on ID ? LOL, I'm sure you do, what am I thinking? The whole show is about the perp who didn't seem like the perp. It happens quite a lot.

After the parking lot closed last night, I caught up here and then took some time off, Dylan missing weighs so heavily on me (and I know he does on everyone else here too). I appreciate Azgrandma opening up so much and even though she's taken some hits or seen things questioned over and over, she continues to post in a way that is non-defensive and honest. I hope Saturday's rally will bring some additonal attention to Dylan's case and maybe the push for additional answers will bring some (crossing fingers). Have a good day everyone!

Will be waiting for news today......I hope something breaks loose soon. Today, tomorrow, Saturday, whenever. Just want answers. As I'm sure Cory and Elaine do as well.

I see there is a new article with things to discuss. That's great because the more media for Dylan the better, IMHO.

Just remember to be nice to each other. Aim your comments at the post not the poster and read the first few posts on this thread when in doubt about how you may discuss MR.

Have a good day everyone, Im off to work soon.

I feel like this is building and building and it has to explode. I feel like something is about to happen. I hope I am right, could just be wishful thinking. Maybe this is exactly what LE needs to bring some hope back into this case.

I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to azgrandma. You show much strength and unwavering support for Dylan. :)

I am kind of feeling that same way of late Paint and you know what :( ,,, for some reason I think that explosion may come and go with nothing that helps find Dylan.

Maybe that's when he quit talking to the press, when he ran out of alternatives. I still wonder though what or who initially gave LE the impression Dylan ran away that they treated Dylan as such from the start and for at least a week wasn't it?

MR sent a text to ER and they both reported him as a runaway. Actually I'm not sure if it was runaway or missing. LE did a cursory search of the home to make sure he wasn't there before doing anything else.

I don't care about all this family drama. I've very low key. What I care about is Dylan coming home. I still believe he's alive and I still believe that in spite of the family drama, he'll be back. I feel it in my bones. I always have. But with all this family drama, what does Dylan have to come back to??? Poor kid. JMO

BBM - his family.

Like it or not, family is all we have and honestly there is drama in every family. Most aren't played out in public. But then again, most don't have a missing child either.
