We don't know. That's why it is an issue.

What we know is that previously, it was reported that Dylan's last phone contact was around 8:00 p.m. ER also said that Dylan's last phone activity was around 8:00 p.m. ER has access to Dylan's phone records. Sooo, that means it is probable that ER didn't know about the last communication. Why wouldn't she know, if Dylan used his phone?

During the search of MR's house, LE found an iPod, a computer and I'm not certain what else - but these 2 items are electronic devices, consistent with LE's statement. We are all speculating that it was one of these devices that Dylan used and that is why ER had no record of the last activity.

I ask now, if you use your phone carrier's website to send a text, wouldn't that show up on your phone bill?

It seems to me, what ever Dylan did, it did not show up on the phone bill. What kind of text could he send that wouldn't show up?

Salem

BBM

No it wouldn't. (at least back when I used to do it) It was free! That's why I used it.

But how would LE know if the text showed up on Dylan's phone? The phone is missing.

Honestly do we even know the phone is missing today ? Is it possible LE has recovered it somewhere along the way and just didn't say so ?

How would they be drawn to another state to look or interview anyone without a POI in their sights? If they had a POI other than MR in their sights, then I would think they would not be saying about this 'gathering' on saturday...... we dont' agree or disagree, do waht you want ... basically to the family. I don't think the family would be wanting this gathering if they had info from LE that they were hot on the trails of some other POI.

Unless they think that other POI might be at the *ahem* rally.

"Dylan had asked his father whether he could go to his friends' that evening after they had shopped at Walmart and eaten at a McDonald's in Durango and before the 45-minute drive to Mark's home north of Vallecito Lake. Mark said he told his son it was too late."

  • 7:05 p.m. Dylan at Durango Walmart
  • 7:22 p.m. Dylan at Durango McDonalds
Ryan <modsnip>: (time 6:43 p.m. Nov. 18) Im in pagosa coming

Dylan Redwine: Cant come srry ill hang tommarow

Ryan: Ok

Ryan: (time 7:09 p.m. Nov. 18) Why

Dylan: idk

But this isn't a direct quote from MR. I mean, I think we all know how the media is. Just today they've listed CR as 18. They've assumed the last electronic communication from Dylan was through his phone, which we have no idea.

Honestly do we even know the phone is missing today ? Is it possible LE has recovered it somewhere along the way and just didn't say so ?

Shirley not, but who knows??

I see no reason not to ponder the possibilities, but they're not necessarily 'justified suspicions'. There is thus far exactly zero evidence pointing to MR.

Respectfully, Au Contraire !
There is loads of ' circumstantial evidence' pointing to MR and
there are plenty of cases tried and won on circumstantial evidence
alone. I'm not a fan of circumstantial only prosecutions myself, but
at this point no one has been charged, so there is no reason not to
be suspicious with this mountain of circ . evidence only.

If LE is not looking at MR as their POI, they are sadists of some kind, to leave him out to dry in this way, at this point. I mean, if he is not a suspect, then he is a victim, and they are not treating him like a victim, as far as I can tell.

Funny thing happened today. One of the neighbor boys stays home by himself for about 45 minutes until his sister gets home from school. He texted his mom when he got home. About 20 minutes later, his mom calls me frantic because she had been texting and trying to call him but he wasn't answering texts and his phone was going straight to voicemail. They don't have a landline. So I go over there, and he comes to the door like no big deal. I tell him his mom has been trying to reach him. He grabs his phone and it's dead. He tries plugging it in to the charger, and it's still dead. This is one of those new Samsung phones. Anyway, the point is phones die out of nowhere with no warning and no rhyme or reason.

I know this minute detail may mean nothing. It always has to me from the beginning. In those text when Dylan tells his friend he cant come that night there is a bit of a delay. Then Dylan replies "I don't know". Yet did MR not say later because it was too late. Reasonable I will give him that. Yet he is with his Son. The only Son he seemingly wants to build a relationship with and doesn't know very well. MR gives his Son no reason. Dylan's responses just bothered me from the start.

The article also said they got their reports back from the CBI crime lab, met with the FBI and have been out searching again the last couple of days. Why is this? The only things I know of that went to the crime lab were a few things collected from MR's, maybe his trucks? and a few things collected by searchers. So what did they find that prompted them to go out searching again?

I sincerely doubt that this is what happened to Dylan's phone. However, the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. My nearly new phone died out of nowhere and would not charge when I plugged it in.

that was RN's text TO DR which went unanswered, right?

Maybe. That is one possibility. But now it seems there are other potential scenarios too.

Perhaps something from the iPod, or other electronic data, i.e. a GPS from a vehicle?

I also saw it as significant when they stated a meeting where they would strategize and also mentioned results from items tested by the crime lab. Seems like there may have recovered something of interest.

Probably the wandering unknown RSO's dna that just happened to be at MR's house and they found it in the search. Isn't it obvious ?

I have spent some time thinking about that detail as well. To me, it could mean something.

However, I also remember being thirteen and sometimes when my mom wouldn't let me do something with my friends (& gave me any number of reasons) when my friends asked why I would say something like "I don't know", "Who knows", "Because I'm never allowed to do anything" in a sarcastic & classic teenager tone (complete with eye-roll). At that age was embarrassing to say that my mom didn't want me to be out too late, or thought I might get into trouble at a sleepover, etc.

I don't know Dylan to know whether this is something he would do, or if this is actually a significant detail in that MR did not actually give the late hour as a reason for Dylan.
