Whch would be impossible without evidence.
True, but they may have some new evidence based on their comment and new searches.

No one saw Jessica R. after her mom, but she was cleared before Jessica was found.
I know. Could this have been via a gaming site/video game console? I really know nothing about video games... but can't the players communicate via text while simultaneously playing?
I don't know.. not trying to push this point. :waitasec: Just trying to think beyond the idea of texting via provider's site or iPod since we have already discussed those options.
Confirmation bias suggests that one tends to mold his preconceptions to new information. Which is what is generally going on here. It doesn't mean that I think he is innocent. It means I think there is absolutely nothing thus far to suggest he is guilty. Everything that is going on here is not mere speculation - it is character assassination disguised as speculation.
IMO.
But LE cleared that up later. I think CR took it as 'a green light' because they didn't tell him 'no you can't do that'. It's legal as long as they don't block roads, go on private property or resort to violence etc.. LE would never advise someone to do this. JMHO
"Dylan had asked his father whether he could go to his friends' that evening after they had shopped at Walmart and eaten at a McDonald's in Durango and before the 45-minute drive to Mark's home north of Vallecito Lake. Mark said he told his son it was too late."

Ryan Nava: (time 6:43 p.m. Nov. 18) Im in pagosa coming
- 7:05 p.m. Dylan at Durango Walmart
- 7:22 p.m. Dylan at Durango McDonalds
Dylan Redwine: Cant come srry ill hang tommarow
Ryan: Ok
Ryan: (time 7:09 p.m. Nov. 18) Why
Dylan: idk
I read this as Dylan saying "Dad, after we go to Walmart and McDonalds can you take me to R's house" (instead of going to his father's house).
I didn't read it as Dylan asking MR the question after they had been to McDonalds.
Just another example of how we can all interpret statements differently.
If he has not been cleared, then why are you so adamant that he is innocent?
But I would hope LE's first "line of business" would be to clear the last person to see Dylan.
duh.....okay. I see what you are saying.
So we are on the same page. Except I don't know all the communication devices you can text from....LOL:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Weren't Jessica's family cleared after the backpack was found? :waitasec:
That right there is what frustrates me most. I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it's not so much I think MR is innocent, I just don't have all the information I (me personally) need to convict him in my mind.
But who says they haven't? Just because they haven't said it out loud? IIRC they haven't cleared anyone.
Hi Bravo I obviously missed nursee's post verifying Paul.. what area of expertise is it?
TIAI scrolled back through this thread and still somehow missed it:crazy:
I respectfully disagree. I do see what you're saying. That no matter what comes out some of us are going to mold it into proof that MR is guilty. I don't think you are giving us that are leaning that way proper credit. I'm actually pretty intelligent and am not one to follow the crowd. I am leaning that way based on a combination of many factors rather than one big smoking gun.
I don't have enough to convict him in my mind either.
I would think at this point if they truly don't think there's a possibility that he is involved they would clear him. Especially with the mob growing![]()

Confirmation bias has no bearing on how intelligent one is. Everyone possesses it. It's something that one has to consciously identify and then try to quash as much as possible when trying to reason effectively. It takes practice and even then it is still one of the hardest things to train oneself to do. It's one of the largest obstacles to overcome in research, and both physical and social scientists - all utterly brilliant mind you - do everything in their power to limit.
I think if folks truly took a step back from all of the noise - that is, all of the rumor, innuendo, and the smear from alleged 20 year old behavior - and instead focused entirely on what we know at this point, then there is absolutely no way one can be convinced that MR did this. Again, I'm not saying he didn't - I'm saying that the facts aren't there.
But what if they have their eye on someone else and clearing MR could ruin that. I would bet my left arm there will be a large LE presence at the "rally" to ensure it doesn't get out of hand. Again, LE has cleared NO ONE! JMO

Yes, several days later. The timing aligned with getting back initial DNA tests from the backpack. IIRC, the DNA hit against DNA from the jogger assault case.
