LE has said the Sex offenders in the area had been checked out and was not suspects . If I remember correctly :D

I am **not** playing devil's advocate here: just want to point out that in a lot of cases it was a first time offender.. someone not "registered"...

Yes and thanks for reminding me of the query a few pages ago. What scenario would I most entertain if MR were eliminated as a suspect this minute? An as yet unknown sex offender, either from the community or, given that it was a holiday week, from afar.

There are over 175 registered sex offenders in La Plata county. Plenty just in the general hour-drive radius. Some of the LE interviews or searches could be related to those that could have a reason to be in the area -- guys who fish, guys who had business in the vallecito area, guys who have family or friends they visit in the area, guys who own any of the cars that may have been spotted driving through town overnight on cams from business on the main route.

I read TOS says that we can discuss sex offenders but not harass them (naturally). So what does that mean exactly?

175?! That's a lot higher number than the one I thought I'd read earlier.

Thank you .

I guess from my point of view at the moment I don't believe this happened . if Dylan lived there full time I would find it a lot more plausible .

maybe they were only there to pick up one item? idk.. I agree that is a very short time to be in wal mart! It usually takes me that long to just walk to where I need to find something

I read the entire thread before replying to anything because I was way behind. I am now going back over the thread and replying to things that caught my attention. :)

This article states that they were picking up groceries for the week.

The thing is we don't know if the time at Walmart is the time they were leaving or arriving or even as they were shopping. It could be the time they left Walmart and if that's the case we would have no idea how long they were actually in there.

Can we not work it out from the McDonald's time frame . As they would need to get to McD's from Walmart ??

It's the McD's one we don't know if they ate in or got it to go as nothin followed it .

seriously though.

for some reason they feel comfortable in releasing the times and places to the public but then they threw in the zinger about the last device communication....

Must have been discussed during the strategy meeting with the FBI.

Or maybe they didn't find out about it until later when they were doing their investigation?

Well if they were LEAVING Walmart at the time given how can we know what time they got there? Dylan's plane landed before 6pm right (something like that?) and I saw a local say it's only about a 15 minute drive to Walmart. I don't think Dylan had checked baggage so they could have been out of the airport pretty quick.

At 5:40 p.m., Dylan tells his friend that his plane has landed, and Ryan asks him how the flight went.

They could have been in the car and on their way to Walmart easily by 6pm with no checked baggage. If it's about a 15 minute drive to Walmart they could have been there by 6:15. Did their shopping and LEFT Walmart at 7:05 and been at McDonald's at 7:22. And again the 7:22 timeline at McDonald's; is that the time arrived, time left or time a witness spotted them sitting there eating? We don't know. All we know is they were there at these times.

The only time in the timeline that specifies ARRIVED AT is the airport. The others just say AT.

5:46PM Dylan arrived at Durango-La Plata airport.
7:05 PM Dylan at Durango Walmart
7:22 PM Dylan at Durango McDonalds
9:37PM Dylan's last electronic device communication (texting)

Actually - I don't think it matters who it belonged to, it is an electronic device that could be used for communication, so I would think that LE would want to "search" it. Looking either for something from/to Dylan or something from/to MR, or any searches, internet activity, etc. The same with MR's computer. I think LE would search it, looking for anything that may give an indication as to what happened - be it from Dylan or MR. They were allegedly the only 2 people in the home and one has now vanished without a trace.

JMO,

Salem

You know what I just wondered ? If LE took MR's home computer and has not given it back, then he's very limited on information as far as all of the updates and planned prayer vigils and searches and maybe some of the things he's been accused of ' avoiding' he really didn't have any knowledge of happening. IF LE has the computer still. Food for thought !
