If so substituting "have for them" it would then read:

“Everybody I look at, first question I want to have for them is where’s my son?... and I know that’s an irrational way to think, but, … that’s how I feel.”

In reading it with that change, the key word for me is 'want' why does he want to have this, instead of he has this? :twocents:

This little error on his part reminds me of myself when I try to speak in public.

To me it seemed like he started to say "the first question I want to ask them", ended up saying "the first question I have for them"........ so it resulted in "the first question I want to have for them".

I hear you & I trip up too (big time), but he doesn't trip up until he after he says "I want" that's all I am saying. He's telling the truth here either way IMO - that's all I am saying.

I hear you too! I definitely think there is merit to analyzing one's words. Just thought I'd throw that out there :)

Dan Bender is the spokesperson for LE we see in the video. Not sure of his official title. I know Ransom spoke highly of him.

Although, I don't expect any revelations...but it will be nice to put a face to him & hear whatever he has to say (uncut) from his lips to our ears. :floorlaugh:

I don't really get the idea behind doing a story about a missing child, and then sitting on it for a few days. What if the child IS alive and being tortured, for instance, while the media builds up suspense for their stupid ratings?

Hey folks, since the family is planning a Beams of Hope type celebration for Dylan's upcoming birthday, I just lit a virtual candle and left a message for Dylan and wanted to share the group site in case anyone wanted to join in a show of support. I remember doing this for Caylee Anthony and thought it was such a nice idea.

Please feel free to drop on by and light a candle. The group name is Dylan's initials: DNR (if the link below doesn't take you directly there). If we can do nothing else, a show of support would probably be appreciated by the family.

http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=DNR

If you click on the candles that are lit, you can read the messages and see where folks are lighting from...

Thanks TxJan this is nice.

Good point, this will be the lst time I will see him on film, however I only read the articles so maybe he has been interviewed on camera???

It seems LE has been quiet up-until just before the rally but it could be a co-incidence with the results coming back, etc. Maybe? I wonder if these new "additional" was the term they used interviews have been done yet? Hopefully the reporter asks that & if the forensic results have aided the case.

I can't really remember a delay in the cases I have followed, except for AMW or a Dateline. They sometimes say "tonight at 6" or something but not days ahead. A similar interview was done like this was around Christmas time with ER. I don't know if this is the same station or not, but I thought it is a very bad judgement call & poor taste IMO.

It just makes it seem obvious to me that no one is really expecting he will suddenly reappear. The media certainly isn't anyway. And I know events take time to plan, but it always strikes me in an odd way when parents plan events for missing children a month in advance. I could not imagine thinking more than an hour ahead at a time. Oh well, it is real life I guess, everything seems to run on media time.

This is driving me crazy - so do both parents think that the other one is hiding Dylan?

All I know for sure is ER and her pain. After watching her I just cannot even fathom the pain she feels. And FWIW IF I was doing an interview I would choose my words wisely. JMO MOO IMO

Like I said the other night, if my child was missing, I don't think I could take the day to day pain. I'd have to be heavily medicated. I wouldn't blame either parent if they were. This has got to be one of the single most difficult things to go through in a lifetime.
