What resistance? Has LE stated that Mark was asked to take a polygraph and refused? Stuff from Facebook is considered to be rumor. MOO.

Random 'stuff' from FB is considered rumor. But we are allowed to link to the official FB and things posted by verified family members, like Dylan's mother or brother, are given some credence, imo.

Either way, to me, he is clearly being treated as a Poi, no matter what words they chose. This week was a perfect time to "clear" him, if they could, to save the possible hassle of the rally.

Who is treating him as a POI? The family and some posters. I am not being argumentative but I haven't seen LE treating him as anything. If they are I have missed something please direct me to it. jmo

Because they've already stated, back in early Dec, that MR "is not considered a suspect or person of interest in the case"

The article in December was from before they got their evidence back and had their strategic meeting with the FBI & CBI (that was mentioned in this week's press release), so I'm going with this more recent verbiage: they aren't naming him a suspect. :moo:

IMO MR never claimed to be a truck driver at all, IIRC it was assumed that he worked for United Pipeline and that job entailed driving a truck. I'm not sure what others believed but "truck driver" to me is someone that drives an 18 wheeler, which I did not believe he did. I believed he drove a truck for a job and with that a CDL would be needed.

FWIW, I believe folks got the notion MR "drove a truck" from ER's NG appearance:

GRACE: What does he do for a living that requires him to travel?

REDWINE: You know, I`m not 100 percent sure what his occupation is. I know that he used to drive trucks. So I assume it`s something along those lines.

**Below is all opinion based upon how I personally tend to look at and break down a missing person/murder case**

IMO when looking at everything in this case item by item IMO we all can come up with ways to excuse each item.. and IMO I know atleast for me in breaking it down issue by issue I've attached a list of what I come up with that can excuse, or be used to "explain it away"..

Quite simply for me in thoroughly looking at every issue it becomes completely illogical that in order for all of these issues that are in any way remotely revolving around Mark Redwine..for them all to HAVE TO HAVE pretty remarkable and continuous need for finding an excuse to "explain each of them away"..<<--this IMO is not realistic.

of course there are going to be issues that do have an actual explanation that when applied shows this issue to actually not be the red flag it initially appeared to be..

but when it is issue after issue after issue that each one of them has to be found an excuse to some how go about explaining it away.. IMO this is not realistic..this is not at all logical..and IMO it just is not necessary when dealing with the truth..

So, while in many cases for me when I look at a case as a whole and have certain suspicions due to red flags at that point I break it down flag for flag, issue for issue and honestly a good bit of the time when looking at it from each individual piece of the big puzzle I may even be swayed into taking more of a fence position.. NOT with this case, NOT AT ALL..instead I become rather quickly alarmed that issue after issue after issue requires excuse after excuse in order to explain each away..

So, for me in the area that usually causes me to pause and really reaccess and reevaluate why my opinion is a certain way.. in this case both in looking at the case as a whole, the big picture..as well as when looking at the case much closer and pointed at each issue .. for me personally it points consistently toward MR..

**Again, obviously the entire above content is just my own personal opinion based upon I how personally tend to look at a case as a whole as well as breaking it down point for point.**

I wonder if MR has any buddies at work? Anyone that would have been aware Dylan was in town. Or anyone LE interviewed.

Also, when I have a 'secret' or something on my mind I don't want other people to know about.. sometimes I will get it off my chest by talking about it to someone who has no connection to my family or other friends/acquaintances. That way, they can't really tell anyone else that I know.

I wonder if at any time before (as far back as September) or after Dylan's disappearance, MR has vented to any co-workers (possibly co-workers he met at a worksite who are not from the Durango area) about custody issues, Dylan, etc. Hopefully if something like that happened, that person would have contacted LE.

You can believe that LE informed Elaine and or Cory that Mark refused to take a polygraph but I don't. I think that it's a rumor. MOO.

My point was -

LE can stop this madness and finger pointing surrounding Mark

but - Why haven't they??

Because they are in the business of LE, not publicity. Finger pointing, assumptions, accusations all of that, is not their job to start or stop. They don't play games, if he is or isn't a suspect is something that they are holding to themselves and rightfully so. What the public does with that, absent violating laws, is not their business. "The sheriff's office would not comment on if they believe Mark is hiding anything, but have not named him a suspect."
http://www.kasa.com/dpps/news/crime/increased-efforts-sought-for-missing-boy_5425512

This article & video has the most recent comments I could find, and LE just isn't saying whether MR is or isn't a suspect. :moo:

I think LE had been waiting on evidence to come back from forensics. They stated this week they were meeting and planning with the FBI. And the quote above is different from the ones made before the results were obtained.

Mark has had opportunity's to put Dylan first and yet hides at home . All he ever has is excuses and if innocent then step up for your sons sake ...be a man !!!

:cow:

The problem is, IF MR knows what really happened to DR and it's not good, then he would have no need/desire to meet with EH and CR. What could he say? Weave more details into what he has already publicly stated? Digging himself deeper? That's why i think he has decided not to communicate, IF he has something to hide. We can't have it both ways: MR is innocent or he is not innocent. Hope this makes sense. JMO.

IMO, this is a great example of why I think we need to be careful about making inferences from things some family members say... and giving them credit for being "fact". I know that Elaine was only trying to give the most informative response possible here, but the truth is she no longer knows much detail about MR's personal life... and many have been assuming for weeks that MR was an 18-wheeler truck driver based on this statement? KWIM?

JMO

ETA: I'm not blaming ER for others' assumptions. She was just answering the question.

Two different points .
A ) in the baby lisa case, her parents and their lawyer were constantly harping on how much they were cooperating with LE,, doing 'everything ' le asks of them, etc etc. But from
LE , quite a different story. They were very difficult and dodgy about getting them to give separate interviews and thats' the main thing LE wanted and at this point, I believe they still have not given the separate interviews. Over a year later, no baby Lisa and still I'm sure her parents claim they've bent over backwards to do what LE asks.

B ) I think we should pay very close attention to the actual language of ER and CR . ER said she didnt' think MR would ' hurt' DR , right? But she feels he knows something, right? CR said ( paraphrasing ) something like I think he's involved or he had a hand in it or a part in it. So this leads me to believe ER and CR are more of the opinion MR has hidden Dylan and not hurt / killed him. That is likely due to him hiding them in the past, which I really wish we knew more details of. Point is, if you listen to their words, it does not seem they think Dylan has passed. Could this be strictly from holding out hope until the last second?
Thoughts ??

No, it's not the job of someone who is being vilified, harassed, insulted, abused, bullied etc to stop it. Victims are not to blame. I absolutely do not and will not subscribe to that. Not ever.

I spent too many years as an abuse victim blaming myself, thinking I could stop it, begging, pleading, and every other damn thing. I spent too many years crying and in pain. Too many years in agony. Too many years in counseling working hard to stop thinking that way and feeling that way.

No, no, no, no, no, no, and no. Never.

:twocents:

I'm truly sorry for the pain that you had to endure.

With respect to MR being the victim, I disagree, he is not a victim in any way, shape or form. Dylan IS a victim. Dylan IS the only victim.

MR made himself the subject of public opinion by his actions and inactions. That is not a victim. A victim does not create the situation.

I have noticed the same language from the family. In fact, this is RUMOR.. but Cory has stated that he doesn't think MR would hurt Dylan & that he never hurt him (Cory). .. Which seems to contradict the story of MR swinging at one of the boys after having sex on the lawn?? :aktion1: Cory was present for that incident, yet states he doesn't think MR would ever harm Dylan?? IDK. It's interesting to me that they are so convinced he is involved in Dylan's disappearance, but do not seem to think he harmed him. Maybe they just won't allow themselves to consider this possibility??

Sorry so long winded. I had to cook dinner and do laundry so was out of pocket for a bit........

Very few people had such qualms in taking Kaine and Desiree's word for it about TH failing tests, walking out, etc...they have been generally believed all along, no matter what they have said.

I wasn't here for that case, and I don't like to compare cases. Each case in unique. We cannot make those comparisons. IMO

I believe they said he wasn't an "official" POI. I take that to mean he is just not officially being named at this time.

They said they had no official POI. It was never stated he wasn't an official POI.

<snipped>
I will gladly believe what CR publicly reports. I think he has Dylan's BEST INTERESTS at heart, imo.

I respect that. I've got this crazy habit of wanting facts over rumor.

I think one of the clues is his resistance to taking the test. That alone tells LE something, imo. No matter if it is passed or failed or inconclusive, if he agrees to take one, that says a alot. Just as his resistance says a lot, imo

He's already agreed to take one. He's also agreed to an in depth interview without a lawyer present.

Either way, to me, he is clearly being treated as a Poi, no matter what words they chose. This week was a perfect time to "clear" him, if they could, to save the possible hassle of the rally.

How is he being treated as a POI by anyone other than the mob?

Here's my take on a future meeting between Mark and Elaine where she gets to ask some questions.

Lets say that Mark is innocent.

Elaine: Where is Dylan and what did you do to him?
Mark: I don't know where he is and I didn't do anything to him.

Why should Elaine believe him? Situation unchanged.

Lets say Mark is guilty.

Elaine: Where is Dylan and what did you do to him?
Mark: I don't know where he is and I didn't do anything to him.

Why should Elaine believe him. Situation unchanged.

He may realize this and that has made him reluctant to meet with Elaine.

I think it follows from common sense. LE admitted that the parents were both given poly's at the start. ER said she passed hers.

I believe that MR would have leaked that news as well, IF he had passed.

CR has been publicly calling his father out for not agreeing to take another test. If CR was lying or mistaken, why wouldn't MR CORRECT HIM publicly?

I don't think it is rumor. I believe that MR would correct the rumor if it was false. JMO

But those comments are NOT to be discussed here and they are still considered rumor.

I disagree. Elaine's questions will be much more specific. What time did you arrive home. What did Dylan do when he first got home? Did she shower? Did he unpack? Did he change out of his dirty clothes? What did he sleep in that night? Did ya'all watch tv? What did you watch? Where was his cell? Did he make anymore calls/ Did he use the computer? Did he have any snacks when he got home?
