I do think intense searches will resume in spring. Especially the "water" IMO
Welcome to Websleuths. I have also noticed some of the language you and others have pointed out, indirect statements, unnecessary details and repetition of sensitive subjects. Whether people make a conscious effort to analyze or not, I think such language is one of the things that lead people to those "gut feelings" or feelings that something is just not right. Of course I am one of those people who thinks "gut feelings" don't arise out of a vacuum but have a definite underlying cause. All MOO
When i read the texts Dylan already seems down in the dumps and MR is the cause of that. Its quite easy to imagine they had a argument on the way home IMO .
I think a lot of people are thinking along those lines. If Dylan was reluctant about visiting and MR was still unhappy about the divorce, this family discord could lead to some harsh words. This could explain an angry episode that got tragically out of hand. But it also could explain why a normally level headed boy who felt he had already been disappointed twice (couldn't see his friends Sunday night and now left home on Monday morning) would decide to strike out hitchhiking and fall prey to a random criminal. There's a lot in the cell records we've seen and in the behavior and statements of MR that rouses my suspicions, but nowhere near the point of certainty.
To play devils' advocate squared here, I will mention that a big fight the night before and some really harsh language might also be reason for MR to be a little mum on the details, even if that's all he did wrong. Something like DR says FINE then I'll just walk to R's house ! and MR replies, OK hot shot, go ahead. Maybe overnight DR does strike out on his own and MRs guilt over the argument has made him feel ' responsible' for DR's fate even though he truly doesn't KNOW DR's fate. This is not really what I think happened, but it certainly could have or something similar. MOOOOOOOO More cowbell !
I don't know, I would think that one would admit to an argument regardless of outcome. Maybe not the severity. But at least say yeah he wanted to go to a friends and I said no and he was upset with that. JMO also in the video where MR mentions how important friends are kind of gets me, because he did tell DR no and maybe he feels guilty about that? MOO
Very true, Jjenny. Very true. That's what I was talking about when I said MR could lie all he wants but unless it can be proven he is lying (to the satisfaction of the local DA), then there is nothing to charge him with.
JMO and MOO

Unbelievable, isn't it? I don't recall in any of his interviews asking for information about Dylan or begging for his return....
:banghead::banghead:
Why hasn't he?? Totally agree with your post.
BBM - especially in the uncut interview when the reporter says that he can say whatever he wants, and all he does is defend himself. That bothered me, there is an open invitation to beg or plead for your child, to say Dylan hang in there, we're gonna find you! But he takes the opportunity to defend himself. :furious:
What if Dylan sent out an S.O.S. at 9:37? Would LE keep that quiet?
MR has reported that his son was not home when he returned from running errands on Monday morning. That is the whole story from MR. If LE cannot find evidense of DR being in the home at all then that is an obvious lie and it would be ridiculous if LE had not already arrested MR. They can't be that incompetent. That would be a flagrant mistake and I don't think would be tolerated. jmo
Is it even legal for a 13 year old to have a credit card? I don't think he had any credit cards. Credit cards are easily traced.
Dylan: i call (you) all day if you dont
the (you) caught my attention
And I think there was a reply to ryans 9 27 text we just have not seen it JMO
Drunken driving, hit and run. He claimed someone else was driving the car when it hit the parked car. We ended up voting for conviction, only because he admitted himself on the stand that he moved the car from the street to park it in a lot while he was intoxicated. He went to prison for 5 years. The other 11 had to work overtime on me to get me there though. I didn't believe in the hit & run part. But I voted on the drunken driving.
Who do you think the reply text of 9:37 was sent to? ty
