He was hardly in danger from the reporter and her cameraman...
I think the gun was there for other reasons (drama, pity, etc.). He should have put the gun out of sight while the reporter and crew was there. MOO
I am from the U,K so i did not want to get into a gun debate but WTF?
It is beyond creepy to have a interview with somebody and have a gun on the table. Is the reporter a threat to him or is he trying to just be suspicious?!
Can you delete if its not allowed .
How far is Colorado Springs to Bayfield ?
Was Elaine away from home and visiting family when she got the phone call about Dylan?
Yep , he just cant help put the attention back on himself. Absolutely no reason to have a gun out when being interviewed by the media. Just another attention seeking stunt - he is getting good at them :cow:
Why so cryptic? If your theory isn't involving family members and you aren't naming names, then I don't see what the problem would be?
JMO and MOO
Pfff, I shower every day with my glock on my bathroom sink. Gotta be prepared. After reading some of the things out there with regards to MR, I don't much blame him. At least it wasn't concealed.

"After all that, I was pretty sure Mark would never talk to me on camera, but he agreed to let me come to his house. When I arrived, it was unnerving to see the loaded shotgun on his kitchen table. Mark explained he had been receiving threatening phone calls. He also started crying right in front of the kitchen sink. The rough-around-the-edges guy talked about his bond with his lost son. I spent nearly two hours there. Mark answered every single one of my questions. "
That's sad that you feel you can't even take a shower without the chance of someone breaking into your home and trying to kill you. Not to mention, with the water running, you probably wouldn't even hear the intruder until he had pulled back the shower curtain. Are there are a lot of cases of people being murdered in their own homes in your area?
Just catching up but IMO, MR is an actor and not a very good one at that. He can't fake the tears (like in the uncut version) but also:
Answers the door clutching a pillow
Shotgun on the table because he's been threatened
Pillow on the couch where Dylan slept
All of the above are staged for his own benefit, think about it, who answers the door clutching a pillow? You've seen where the living room is and where the front door is.
Who leaves a shotgun on the table when they KNOW reporters are coming by?
Who leaves a pillow on a couch when you KNOW reporters are coming by?
A normal person that scheduled an interview would not do that. You'd tidy up a bit, put something nice on, etc. IT WAS STAGED.
IMOO, IMO and all those
No there aren't any cases of people being murdered in their home in my area, but I'm home alone during the day while my husband is at work and my kids are at school. There's a lot of construction going on in my neighborhood and I'm right off a major interstate. Call me paranoid, but prepared.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, masootz.
So, based upon the above described would it be possible that if a friend sent a text message from their cell phone that shows it was sent to Dylan's phone at 9:27pm..with Dylan's phone AT THAT TIME possibly traveling through or at a location where the cell was temporarily unable to connect with the one cell tower that's in/around that particular area.. therefor Dylan's phone would be unable to immediately receive the text that was sent from his friend @9:27pm..and then 10 mins later at 9:37pm Dylan's phone travels to or is at a location that is once again able to connect with that cell tower therefor the text that was sent from friends phone at 9:27pm would be delivered to Dylan's cell phone at 9:37pm Which is the time in which his cell is able to again make contact with tower?
Hopefully I made that atleast clear enough to be able to answer.. would this be how this text sent time vs delivered time would work in relation to the cell being temporarily unable to connect with tower therefor delaying the delivery time of the text to his phone?..
TIA..and again thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, masootz![]()
Well, if it makes you feel a bit safer, most home burglaries during the day are done under the assumption that no one is home. If a car is parked in the driveway, I think it would be very very likely that any would-be burglar would bypass your home. Obviously, there are psychos who would break into a home just to murder the person(s) inside, but those cases are extraordinarily rare, and usually happen at night. Plus, most predators seek out women and children to kill, and a car in the driveway (unless it's a stereotypical female car) indicates that *someone* is home, and for all they know, it could be a man.
Might be much more practical to invest into a security system.

I'm one of those weird people who actually use their garage for their vehicles and not their junk.
Yeah, we have one.
had to respond, this cracks me up, not that you have a gun in the bathroom (that's serious) but because you are receiving safety tips. Thinking this is WS, aren't we all a bit cautious?
