Is there a good reason for anybody to kidnap a child?

Well, I can come up with some scenarios, but that is neither here nor there.
I don't think either parent kidnapped him. Both parents are still here, both under a microscope, and it's been over 2 months with no sign of Dylan.
It doesn't add up to parental kidnapping, I am afraid.

No, I didn't get that at all. She definitely hesitated and then stuttered and stammered. It was awkward.

Actually, I agree...and if you go back to the NG transcripts, not just about the polys the way she is answering the basics of questions...she pauses, hesitates, etc. There could be many reasons, her nature, maybe she is unsure of herself, low self-esteem, medication maybe, who knows...hey her child is MISSING!!!

So in your opinion why do you think Mark's story changed, that he went to bed as Dylan was texting on the couch?

Yes, she stuttered and stammered because she does feel some responsibility. She put her baby boy on that plane, against her better judgement. JMO

All the bickering is getting old.

was it Bender or reporter that said

they searched the house twice?

Bender used the term in the timeline "last known person to see him" regarding MR.

MR stuttering and stammering = he's guilty.
ER stuttering and stammering = she's grieving, camera shy, she feels indirectly responsible, and/or every other rationalization of one's confirmation biases.

I would hope LE would have the whole footage. Hate to assume they do, although it should be an obvious thing to do.

I think ER is just wrecked. I think she knows Dylan is probably not alive.

Realizing that this news has been anticipated all day, we have been patient in removing the posts that have had personal attacks toward other members' points of view. However, it needs to stop now. Agree to disagree, scroll by that person's posts that annoy you because you don't like what they are saying, put someone on ignore, whatever it takes to STOP the personal attacks.

If anyone finds they are unable to control themselves and finds it necessary to use sarcasm, snark and/or rudeness to get their point across, they will find themselves temporarily losing their posting privileges.

I watched Elaine's interview the second time.

I DON'T think she hesitated, I think she was trying hard to say what she really feels. I think she feels guilty for putting Dylan on the plane. Not a direct quote but what I got from what she said was...I wish I did then Dylan would be here with us.

She was trying so hard not to cry. I so feel her pain.

I disagree, I don't believe that he stuttered or stammered, I do believe that he has changed his story now several times. Dylan was too tired to talk, Dylan & MR tossed the football around, Dylan was up texting and MR went to bed. So are we suppose to believe that MR went to bed at 8 pm on the FIRST night he was visiting with his son?????? Because 8 pm was the last communication FROM Dylan. Maybe he needed his beauty rest, IDK.

How does Mark's original story go from " dead to the world " to now texting when he went to bed . Dead to the world does not leave any room for misunderstanding here .

I was glad to hear that they searched the home in Monument. (Not because I believe ER could be involved, but just in case there had been a clue left behind by Dylan in his room or on the computer there).

They did search the house twice. But the first time was a cursory search, looking for Dylan himself and/or his cell.

Elaine's demeanor, her facial expressions, her voice, everything strikes me as devastated, frantic, worried. I'm no expert, just a mom.

BBM, I'm pretty sure that makes you an expert on a whole lot of things. I have a great deal of faith in "mom instinct."

IIRC, he said "out like a light," not that this is a better expression to use, IMO.

Maybe it didn't change, maybe this is the first time WE are hearing about it. Perhaps he told LE this from the get go, out the gate, in the beginning, before the time of man.

In a news article the Father stated Dylan was to tired to talk about the new house, but now he's on the couch texting around 45 minutes ?

I am not trying to be rude here but I am very perplexed.

What is it about the "new house" discussion that is important?

I can see where it might be exciting for an adult, but for a 13 year old they usually have other things on their mind.

How is the new house discussion going to help find Dylan?

So if Bender said a stranger took him OR something happened in the house, it sounds as though MR is not off the hook yet, IMO. Also sounds like they are kind of at square one? Or do others feel more confident?
